Here is a little known fact about Milton's hits including this song - the legendary melody was his own idea, and Clarence was responsible for the allocation of instruments as music director. Milton was responsible for the melodies of many of his hits including Piyapath Sala, Madu Mala, Paaya Aa Sanda (director - Rocksaamy), Kese Kiyannada, Awasara Netha, Sihinen Oba (director - Clarence), Me Mai Gaha (director - Melroy Dharamratne) etc... There are many more such hits.
Thanks for uploading the original of this great classic of Clarence/Milton/Premakeerthi. This was a hit in the 70s and I saw Milton singing this at 'Mal Piyali' musical show at Tudella Church grounds !!
