Out of plain curiosity, and because i've never played this game before, could you use your last bomb on last couple of blocks on the boss so that you don't have to wait on it to slowly drop?

re: SDA, after seeing how they haven't posted your run for months after verification, i don't want to submit again. also, i tend to improve my times incrementally (i've recorded 3:18, 3:17, 3:10, 3:07, 3:05, 3:04 and 3:00 in one month, in that order)
@ortoslon I'll certainly try and beat this, although I have exams in a few weeks to deal with first. I'm not sure where the easiest place to shave time would be; I guess there's still 10-15 seconds of time to realistically be saved on the first 15 levels just by better luck with level generation and not making any mistakes, but the chances are very slim. The other big room for improvement is by using the mattock to speed up the final boss (I think in testing I found 11 seconds can be saved).
@ExplodingCabbage But that, naturally, requires you to get a mattock and I believe I calculated the odds of it not breaking on level 16 (if it hasn't already) as being about 20%, which isn't great given the poor odds of getting that far in the first place.
As for SDA, yeah, the 3-4 month delay between verification and runs going up is annoying me too. If you don't want to submit, which is understandable, I guess I'll just have to try and beat this and submit myself. ;)
