I'm sure you like yours, but my mate's has been back to get fixed 3 times now, and its finally going in the bin. Poor quality kit as I said before. I'd never let a Tamron near my cameras.
hey every one! im having trouble getting people seeing my photography! so please check out my videos! (photography) and (photography 2)and tell me what u think! thanks!
I prefer the canon 100mm macro 2.8, chose that one over tamrons 90 because of an easier override between af and mf, plus the barrel dosent extend when focusing, tamron 90mm- great lens, still.
I think I prefer the Tamron. It's expensive but with f2 it can double as a portrait lens. So really, you're getting a macro and portrait lens with it.
I met a Tamron rep at George's Camera in San Diego last week and he let me use this new lens on a 7D...I don't know which distracted me most the new lens or the 7D LOL.
Any how, I'd love to get my hands on this little gem...maybe I might get lucky with Tamron hint-hint...I'd love to use this little charm wide-open at f/2 a heck of a lot more in portrait photography than macro...for macro I like using flash fill at f/8 or f/9 and just separate my subject from nearby background elements = >DOF.

Override autofocus is a camera feature not a lens feature. Tamron is poor quality kit I'm afraid.

@DJBufster the 180 mm is one of the most respected and sharpest macro lenses around. Great working distance. And no, it is a lens feature.

This video would have greatly benefited from an HD or at least HQ version.
