We all have body issues and it is hard to accept what god gave us sometimes, but the people who do accept it are having a better life day to day in my opinion. The day we can take our oddly shaped bodies to a nude beach is the day we are over it. It helps to have a sense of humor about ourselves. I am saggy and have a third nipple! Yuk! i used to be exactly twice my current weight, and it's terrible how regular people are doing their best to ignore or hurt you (it's like every tiny emotion is like 10 times larger)
my best food tip: buy a food scale and reduce pasta/potatoes/rice and eat more vegi's and fiber.
in the first year i ate tons and tons of frozen vegetables (cheap) and eventually also reduced that, you have to find a right-amount of food for you (i point my finger towards carbohydrates after years of diets)

Every time I put something in my mouth I mentally weigh it- in every sense of the word. For me it is more of a health concern and focus but the aesthetic concern is ever-present. I hope you know that the trolls are usually not far from their namesake and are probably projecting their own insecurities. I prefer diet soda too.
Alison, I've missed you SO much on Red Eye, but after watching this vlog, I'm convinced that working with Adam is the best thing that could have happened to you - he's so nonjudgmental and funny and I'm sure he gives you all the room you want and need. I'd like to say something that would make you feel good like "I think you're beautiful" but I've also got the nagging feeling in the back of my mind that you'd roll your eyes at me and think to yourself "yeah, sure, whatever." This is very touching, you touched my heart. I have never had to deal with weight problems but I can empathize.
