There was something about minimal distance from clouds even in class E ..... Fun but I hope someone's not doing the same thing, or some IFR heavy is ascending or descending right into your flight path. Thanks for posting.
This is cool....I've done some flying but not instrument rated to fly that close to clouds. Was always afraid to get into a cloud and loose orientation. Glad to see it up close and personal!!
I'm building an RV-4 and want to include a video recording setup. Your video looks good and doesn't have the aliasing I see in a lot of guys' video shot from their cockpits. What type of setup are you using if you don't mind my asking?
Great video by the way. I can't wait to get my airplane done and go cloud dnacing myself. I've got to make do with a Cessna 172 and Piper Warrior for now.
Very nice! Thank you for sharing. I have had the pleasure of spending a small amount of time in the sky with friends that own their own planes. If you like it it can't be explained to anyone who does not enjoy flying.
Beautiful flying.. what are you flying? An RV? Most compelling video I have ever seen. Once flew in clouds like that in a ppg, but never a real airplane. Outstanding, thank you..
The clouds got especially psychedelic when you flew into Steve Miller land at 3:41. That could even be it's own separate video right there. then they could cross promote each other. Great flying. Awesome clouds.
Very nice video.. I'd like to get an RV one day in the near future. Seems like it would be a lot more fun and enjoyable that say getting a C-172.. What do you think? How do you think they compare, or don't?
@chriscorbine Most people that fly Van's RV's never go back to certified AC again. There is no comparison in terms of performance and effieciency, and building your own, you also get to do your own annuals.
I wanna know if an F-16 is sneaking up on me! (kidding) Actually, I like to keep an eye on the backseater when I am giving rides. When they stop talking and start turning gray/green it's a bad thing. I'll spare you the rest of the details!
It's hard not to "get it". Beautiful day and flying an RV. Wondering if you fly out of South Prairie or worked for Delta? Saw the "UW" hat. Off to go fly........what a great video!!
Got it! And "no" to both of your questions. Happy to hear that you'll be out flying... the weather, although HOT has been awesome the last few days. My work has been keeping me away from the airport... gonna fix that REAL SOON.
I have another video on here... I did not post it.... someone posted without my approval... it was on here for quite a while before a friend told me about it.. search "Ride of your life". It is an extremely low altitude run down a river valley. Enjoy!
wish we had a river to fly down!@#$% oh with water in it!
