Greetings from Denmark and thanks for your great videos and your great playing BluesZep. I think I will have to buy a Classic 30. Do you know if the newer version of the C30 is better or worse in any way or is it just the design on the cabinet that has changed?
It is great when you hear someone playing a Les paul like this rather than thrashing and "trashing". I generally prefer strats but you really make this thing sing. Great melodic playing and I enjoy all your videos.
Funny, you and I have 2 identical amps. I have an older Classic 30 like yours and I also noticed you're playing through a black tolex Fender Blues Jr. on another of your videos which I also own. I get a lot of asking me which I like better. The C30 is an all-round more versatile amp, with an awesome lead channel, but I think the BJ takes pedals better. MO of course. I end up using the BJ a lot more cuz of that fact. Do a lot of church gigs and it's perfect for that.
Thanks for the response. Figured you must've been using the loop. Doesn't sound to me like you use the boost button feature. I don't care for it myself, but some guys do. Too midrangy for my taste. If it were foot-switchable though (instead of the reverb) I might use it. I just re-tubed my C30 with an all-new matching set of JJ tubes What kind of tubes are in yours? Peavey should hire you as their official Classic 30 demo guy. Awesome videos!
I never used the boost switch, it's not for me hehehe
In fact, I don't own anymore this amp. I sold it recently to buy a Fender Deluxe Reverb. They are different beasts, each one very good on its purpose, but I currently needed an amp with DR features to use on my band.
orlyorlywtf is f*ckin nuts. Your touch is great. Excellent playing. You're running the delay through the effects loop, correct? What are the amp settings here?
awesome neck tone. Is it in the electronics? Many les pauls i've played have trouble pushing the tone through the gain, to where it's just the bland loud tone. But you get a kind of clarity, almost like a strat's neck pickup.
Great sound Zep! I am a big fan of the Peavey Classics...and LPs. I have a Classic 50 and a Classic 30 (much easier to carry than the 50). What are your amp settings? Again, great tone/sound.
neck pickup BB1 sounds great

Cara, vi pra vender esse ampli por R$3.340,00... você acha que vale a pena? Um abraço

@LucasEnxadrista
Cara, esse preço é dele novo, né? O amp vale a pena demais, mas eu prefiriria procurar um usado, que vai sair no máximo por R$ 2500,00.

"I traded the tolex BJ for the Tweed BJ. For my taste, the tweed one, with Jensen speaker, sounds better."

Unfortunatelly, I couldn't afford both.
Thanks again!

Caro amigo, tudo bem?
Abs, VN.

cool sound ! Would this amp be loud enough for a 5 piece band ? thinking of getting first decent tube amp .I'm also considering the Laney 210

Just got one of these amps yesterday - very sweet!
You could always mic the speaker if it wasn't loud enough
