  • @pleabargain - This video of this machine (still in construction at the time) was into totally dry (mid summer) stock compacted (totally dry) soil. The types of applications where the above applies is dry sowing ahead of the first rain in the autumn we do a lot of this sort of work. The idea is when it does rain the surface crust being broken up/cracked (depending on speed) in the vicinity of the seed/slot allows the water to penetrate exactly where it is wanted instead of running off. Cheers SNT

  • You forgot to show all the herbicides and DEAD FISH

  • @youcrayzee - Ooops.

  • lol thats more like max till get a cross slot

  • have you tested this in moist conditions?

  • @justtopissuoff - Extensively, These units continue working when when all others are long parked because the tractors can no longer pull them the beauty of these things is they create a tilth/deposit the seed and then pack it all back down in such away that even if there is several inches of rain straight after seed burst is not encountered to any thing like the degree that conventional tines of v-discs provide. Correctly set up they are pretty much impossible to block.

  • Yes, that's pretty agressive tilling, at least the t op few inches

  • no till????????? it's moving more soil than a plough.

  • @77farm The point of the video is to show how the openers work....and they are doing a hell of a job. Those openers are pretty amazing.
