  • Wow! You Did A Great Job! Love It.

  • How did you get the colors so bright? mine always turn out dull! :(

  • @AlisaMarie16 use gel food coloring. they're a lot more vibrant and there are a lot more options. you can get them in cake decorating store or even places like michael's or jo-ann's good luck!

  • hey do you have to put a sort of icing or cream under the fondant to make the fondant stick to the cake? anyone ?

  • @MrEddieswife Buttercream works the best! :)

  • Nice I cant even get the cake out the pan. ;[

  • @My123Cookies I recommend using wax paper on the pan. You will see the difference

  • You have some real talent! I hope my first fondant cake will be that good. Btw, I might have accidentally touched the flag button on this vid, I'm on a touch screen, so ignore it if I did, sorry.(

  • The bow can be fixed if you cut the ends into triangle shapes they are easier to put together without much lumpiness and the last one you put on top put where the ends meet facing down.

  • nice job,im doing my first fondant cake and it happens to be for my brothers wedding .i will post pics ,thank you for your video

  • first off wow my first was crap thats amazing and some advice for the bow where the middle bump is put another one (double it)

  • You go B =)

  • i thought it was like ur....10th! gosh its awesoem!

  • Awesome, looks beautiful, congratulations.

  • tips on the bow... in the middle instead of the ribbon like outward put it strait up but looped or you can put a small flower

  • this is amazing :)

  • the bow looks realistic, good work!(:

  • can you please record yourself while adding the fondant?????:)

  • brilliant! congratulations!!

  • Thats gorg

  • wow looks great! Dots look a little thick but other than that looks professional.

  • Put your center bow with the edges touching each other face down. Then it will be perfect. Great job!

  • Lovely Fondant Cake, can u teach me how to do it?

  • where did u get the fondant from? or did u make it??

  • bow is fine. to hide that end bit of ribon u could to a double loop on the top and have the end underneath :) x

  • bow is fine. to hid that end bit of ribon u could to a double loop on the top and have the end underneath :) x

  • its gorgeous! good job!

  • wow looks sick :) im 15 too & my first fondant cake was way to thick & my bow was funky lol beside the center + uneven circles, its pretty good. u shuld use prettyer colors thoo

  • looks great but did the fondant actually taste good?

  • Looks great :)

im doin a thing at school were i have to do lost of Fondant thingys and its really really hard when u dont have the right things to do it with ....

But its alot of fun :D

  • Can i hire you? ;P

  • HOW DID YOU MAKE IT?THE FONDANT??

  • I'm 16 and i am a professional baker. Your cake looks spectacular for your first...

for the bow, i would recommend instead of putting the outer pieces outside of the first layer, put them ontop so that they overlap. It makes it look way better! You can also cut the ends so that they are pointy and make sure that you have water close by to use as and adhesive. Also for your center, make sure that you make it round, like a bracelet. Otherwise it looks fantastic and neat! Keep up the good work!

  • @littlemissaloveable i wonder wear you work bc to be near a oven and everything you have to be over the age of 18 or 18

  • @msblayke my family owns the bakery. We hire mostly family and friends. I do designing and working with fondant and icing. I still help out with baking and stuff... is that a law?

  • @littlemissaloveable well like in oklahoma you have to be 18 or older to be working near ovens and stuff i figured it was like that all over but umm like since your family owns a bakery idk lol

  • what r the ingredents to fondant?

  • Wow! That looks lovely, and soprofessional.

  • What recipe did you use for the fondant?

  • jeez! it's outstanding

  • really beautiful congratulations!!!

  • I think if you take the center piece and make it into a circle, so end touches end, that would make it look like a real bow, It looks cute though!n

  • Very nice!

  • How did you make that bow??

  • Wow you have amazing skills .. you know wat.. i think you should open a bake shop.. watha think??

  • Great! :)

  • its really pretty. i think the bow is awesome!

  • very good for your first cake :) congrats

  • A tip for the bow is, keep it how it is except for the piece just sitting on the top, and with that piece bend it into a bridge shape and simply place it on the top. :D

  • this is a pretty cake it looks like the work of a pro. i wish u had a tutorial i want to make one for my 21st bday. did u have to apply buttercream and then fondant? can i use frosting then fondant?

  • wow... amazing cake,... i loved it.. First cake and so beautiful :) good job :)

  • i love it!

  • pwetty

  • AWESOME! I'm making my first fondant cake today for my mom's 50th birthday party tomorrow. I hope mine comes out as nice as yours =) You did GREAT! I love it! I bet your mom is very proud of you =)

  • I love it! That's so sweet of you to do for your mum. :)

  • I would have left out that center thing in the bow!

  • Well you said you needed some tips for your bow, so i thought id try to help :) I made my sisters wedding cake, which had a large, white bow made of fondant at the top. My tip for you would be to make some parts of the bow pointing upward, not to the sides. It truly brings alot of character to your cake. Oh and you did a fabulous job on your first cake. :)

  • I think that is great. I have my party comin up (13th) and i want to make my own cake. I am amking a three tier high cake and i will use fondant. There is so many cake designs and i love yours! I love the bow and the poka dots! They are so awesome!

  • how much did you sell this cake for

  • Comment removed

  • The bow needs to be dried for longer...im not much older than you but i have been making fondant cakes for about 4 years. if you dry the bow longer it wont sag.

  • Thats an awsome job, for a first try!!!!!!

    Really!!! Great job!!!!

  • a tip for your bow, it looks great! For the center instead of using another tear shaped piece try just making it completely round, or even just a little ball of fondant pressed into the middle like a button, hard to explain but if you saw a cake with one you'd know what I ment

  • loveee it! im actually going to try fondant tomorrw =)

  • wow really good.THUMBS UP =)

  • for yr first try this is great u should see the crap im made !!!lol

  • oooooooooooooooooooooooh omg that looks so yummy man ive only tasted fondant once urs looks good

  • where do u buy the fondant at???

  • i am also making my first one im turning 12 soon and im making a cake for my moms birthday, im making a vanilla sponge cake with white fondant,2 medium sized calla lilys some small roses and then writing her name and happy birthday if anyone has any tips i would really appricieate it because its my first ever fondant cake if you do have any tips please messege me

  • You are a legend, Im about to make my first one I only hope it can come close to this. Well Dont

  • very nice!!!! wow!

  • That looks great. : D I'm attempting my 1st fondant cake.

For the bow, I would suggest making a circle of fondant and putting that in the middle instead, just for a bit more asthetically pleasing look.

  • That is a REALLY good looking cake. I bet your mom really liked it.

  • Your cake is so beautiful I only hope my first fondant cake turns out so nice

  • Soo cute

  • i cannot believe thats a first attempt

  • Oh dang! that's pretty amazing!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • awesome

  • what is the recipe to do the fondant??? i tried 2 times and it came so hard!!!! pls help me...!!! i want to do it for my niece i need the recipe ....

  • I use store bought fodant satin ice is good but you can get other brands all have a slightly different flavour. However, if you are set on making your own I'm afraid I can only recommend looking up videos on homemade marshmallow fondant on here there are some excellent ones out there. Hope you have a great succsess.

  • you can buy it ready made from all supermarkets it saves the hassle of getting it wrong and at least you now its the right mixture :P

  • @puccita88 2 lb marshmello.....1/2 tea crease....powder sugar just keep adding til the melted marshmello gets kinda hard then.....1/2 tea water fairly easy to make hope this helps =)

  • Yea I use a similar recipe from the Wilton website now works wonders. Hopefully soon I will post some new cakes I have done in the last year been to busy but must show.

  • i love it do you mind making me a b day cake ;D

  • this look really good my first cake tasted great, not so pretty though!! look on here how to do fondant bows, there are a couple of good videos to show u how.

  • That cake is so beautiful!

  • God, you did a really great job!

  • wow keep on making thoes cakes maybe u will become next cake boss!!!!!!!

  • thats crazy good for ur first cake, unless u had a lot of practice ...?!?

  • omg! this iz ur first?! u look like a pro!

  • wow

  • Excellent!

  • I think it looked great! My first cake came out really good except I couldn't get my color dark enough.

  • WOW that is amazing i dont think you would want to see mine :P

it was down right horrible 0.0

  • excellent cake! espeacially for your first, its awesome!

  • i mean, "middle"

  • u could get a ball of pink fondant and make creases and put it in the widdle of the bow to make it look like it was tied

  • very good

  • just curious.. is fondant tasty? because it looks so fake when its on cake and its doesnt look very tastey.. looks like plastic.. but its very beautiful on the cake tho. so i dunno what fondant tastes like... oh and um. i love your ckae!! heheh.

  • Fondant is made out of marshmellows and sugar

  • bows are easy. you stack the loops after they dry out. 5 on the bottom to begin, 4 on top of that, 3 on top of that, and you end with 2 in the middle.

  • on ur bow, i think the loops r too far apart an they look too uniform... instead of makin a square with th loops, try makin it look a bit more round, an im not really sure, but start from the middle part an then work ur way outwards. the cake it beautiful though. Hope i helped some

  • That's beautiful. Did you make the fondant yourself or buy it?

  • I made it myself :)

  • @cakes4mini could you buy any chance message me the ressape thanks so much sorry

  • @cakes4mini how

  • @cakes4mini

    please , how ??

  • @cakes4mini

Do you by any chance have the recipe?

  • @xKagomexChanx

    It looks great!!!!

  • omgosh! Its beautiful! Im soo nervious im going to do my first fondant cake soon! So im tryin to learn all i can!

  • this is really good for your first cake. my opinion is that you should just roll up a ball of fondant and place it in the middle. maby you could decorate the ball with polka dots or stripes?

  • great job :)

  • Wow, that is nice for being your first, looks great!

  • For the bow, maybe just place a flower in the middle to cover up the ends. Great cake though.

  • hey um wow thats a great cake but um you know the middle you should make like the shape like a o so ya thats it every thing else is fansastic

  • nice cake, i know under u put buttercream, but for the cake, will and time of a regular cake work or special type.

  • I think fondant cakes look so beautiful but look tricky to make, my mom told me that they are messy and hard to work with, i want to try one sometime

  • ive been watching some videos on how to make fondant. look somee up. its really not hard. and only a little messy

  • try to place all the tips to the middle and put a big button on it it will lcover any mistakes in the middle :D

  • How do you make your fondant? and buttercream? thanks!

  • try using a 2 1/2 inch glob of icing in the middle of the cake before placing the bow pieces

  • I also like the simplicity of circles against a solid color.

  • The bow looks amazing! ;o)

  • thats cool!! did u mean that red ribbon from fondant too?

  • Yea a did

  • What's the difference between a "fondant" (as you say) and marzipan ?

Why don't you use marzipan ?

  • there's not much difference in the texture of marzipan and fondant, though I find marzipan slightly more sticky and oily. However the big difference comes from the taste - some cakes are ill suited towards an almond undertone, and some would be completely overpowered by the marzipan. I find I only use it with fruitcakes, and even so I'll put fondant overtop for a polished look and a colour that's more true to what I need.

  • Fondant is malleable, whereas marzipan is a treat that, once molded, dries into a harder form. Marzipan is used mainly for little props or characters atop cakes, while fondant is easier to control and shape (and better for shaping around any kind of cake) =D

Some cakes have marzipan, though, like a Battenberg cake.

  • thats awesome , your first try or not, it looks really good!

  • i love it!!!--wat fondant did u use??

  • I made my own mmf

  • marshmellow fondant??? i wanna try to make mmf also but i dont know if it taste good..also i dont really know all da ingredients,,,wats everything you used?.i heard its better than store bought would you agree??

  • MMF is simply melted marshmellows with sifted confectioners suger (or icing sugar as it's also known) kneeded together with a bit of shortning. I usually put a bit of clear vanilla extract in with the marshmallows when I'm melting them, it makes it taste great. Otherwise it tastes just like marshmallows, which even plain tastes better than traditional fondant I think.

  • Great Job it came out really good!

i bet your mom loved it =]

  • i love itttt i am working on my first fondent cake right now but i am positive mine will mot come out as good as yours lol btw luv the colors ancer back

  • I love the colors . It looks great to be your first time.

  • it looks amazing for your first try, but I would suggest rolling our your fondant a little thinner - it looks too thick on the polka dots and bow xxx
