  • @Kari166 Everyone.

  • yeah, fuck you tamora!

  • what is the name of the song they are playing in the begining of the video?

  • So is this what the usual White Glove Society meetings look like?

  • damm.. it looks tasty !

  • great movie!

  • Divina interpretazione!!Attori Grandiosi!!!Sceneggiatura perfetta!!Scenografia sublime!!!

    I LOVE THIS FILM!!!!

    THX

  • Wait what?

  • Poor girl.

She got raped, tortured and then was killed by her father.

Maybe she had a tasty meat pie, before dying... But it must be hard to eat without tongue. Still, the woodsticks must be really useful...

  • There's something I don't understand. (I never read this one of Shakespeare)

The girl whe was killed by the chief was his own girl, right ? oO

  • @minim0a if you're referring to titus's (Chef's) daughter, in the orginal play he killed her to put her out of her shame and misery cause she was raped and mutilated.. cheerful isnt it. haha

  • @Ookami93 Sometimes, I really think my dad's the best. Is it the girl with woodsticks instead of hands ? That was really... yummy.

  • @minim0a haha, yeah, she got raped and got her hands and tongue cut off so she couldn't say who raped her... xD

  • That pie looks delicious

  • I Remember When I was a kid in the 7th grade we re-enacted Titus Andronicus for our history class. I Was Demetrius and i got baked into one of the pies Haha :D

  • Spoooooonnnn!!!

    The Tick

  • No one has really liked Shakespeare's Titus, and it is to this day considered by well-known critics as one of his 'problem plays'. It is just not very right to portray meat-lovers in this light, and I suspect Shakespeare was himself going through a vegetarian phase when he wrote the play. [I had many Indian classmates who must have thoroughly enjoyed the lectures and tutotials for this play.]

  • On another level, perhaps Shakespeare WAS Titus, and only showing the audience what his characters ate in this scene.

  • Pie.

  • I think it'd be really funny to have someone who didn't know the plot watch this scene xD

  • Titus Andronicus:

    The Original Sweeney Todd.

  • this was a very artistic film, great costumes and cinematography a contemporary translation of shaksperes classic

  • DUDE THAT CHEF IS IN EVERY CANNIBAL MOVIE, I THINK HE IS A CANNIBAL

  • ...that pie is made of human's meat??.....0_o

  • Thanks. A clip from a terrible director's worst movie. "Look how artistic I'm being!! Opera music?? Close-up shots of peoples' mouths while they unwittingly eat human flesh?? A FREEZE-FRAME?? Whaaaaaa??? OMG I'm SO cutting-edge!"

  • Why does this scene remind me of Salo?

  • Vendetta!!

  • This is one my favourite interpretations of Titus Andronicus. I can't wait for Taymor's interpretation of The Tempest.

  • WTF!! is with the big band music in this scene. This scene could funnier if a bunch of street gangsters came in a pop a cap in Titus's ass!!

  • epic fail.

  • I adore the song in the background, anyone know who this Italian music?

  • @PolichinelaAzul Vivere di Cardo Buti..

  • @ferdinanddieu Thanks!

  • ha ha, anthony hopkins

  • This is by far my favorite Hopkins role. He nails ever instant.

  • "killed her for whom my tears have made me blind"

gets me every time. hopkins does justice to the line

  • Revenge is best serve cold . . . nah I don't believe it anymore . . .

REVENGE IS BEST SERVED WITH HOT, YUMMY MEAT PIE MADE BY YOUR LOVING SONS!!!

  • Anthony Hopkins serving people for dinner... lol

  • a classic

  • SILENCE OF THE MOTHERFUCKING LAMBS!!!!

  • this is a total shoutout to hannibal lektor

  • How do your children taste? lol.

  • Where's the farva beans and the nice chianti?

I'm sure I can't be the first one to make that joke.

  • This film is fantastic, one of Hopkins most under-rated works. And Titus' rplan for revenge is absolutely fantastic

  • I'm sure there are a lot of people who wouldn't mind munching on Jonathan Rhys Myers.

  • No doubt they would have tasted great with some fava beans and a nice chianti!

  • No doubt they would have tasted great with some fava beans and a nice chianti!

  • We've been looking at the play in English for the past while now, and I think it's incredible that our teacher showed us THIS film version! Still, it's a brilliant play, even if people say that Shakespeare went overboard with the violence.

  • I would love someone to do "Titus Andronicus: The Musical", but then I realized that's what Sweeney Todd is.

  • Bullshit, the story is absolutely nothing alike.

  • Easy there peaches, I was kidding. Time to take the Complete Works of Shakespeare out of your ass.

  • Actually I mostly dislike shakespeare - this and a couple others are the only I care for - how about you take your head out of your ass.

Comparing it to sweenty todd was somehow supposed to be a joke? Because if that was your intention it failed horribly.

  • Apparently there was one: it staged between '05 and '07

  • i love the dance that hopkins does when he tells jessica lange that she just ate her sons

  • For some reason...after watching this scene in the movie...I wanted some pie.

  • Comment removed

  • disgusting

i will never eat ever again...thanks will

  • awesome.

  • Every time I watch this movie I wish I could have seen Julie Taymor's adaptation on stage... I bet it was amazing.

  • Especially with that music

  • isnt this the play where they rape some lady and shove sticks in the stumps or something? my drama teacher was talking about it today...id be very interested if this isnt it to find out what one that is!! brrr this is sweet

  • Yup, this is that play.

  • @XXHangmansXCurseXX That scene, by the way, is one of the best shock-horror scenes I've seen

  • yeah! it was freaky no doubt

  • Make me not want to eat anything but fresh druit and veggies from now on.

  • Why there they are!

  • Es como el mito de Filomela y Procne

  • When i did this scene in my highschool, my stepchildren actually tasted pretty good...

  • Hopkins looks like Chef Boyardee

  • An insane cannibalism-driven Chef Boyardee.....

then again my beefaroni tasted weird lately

  • This reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman turns a kid's parents into chili and tricks him into eating it

  • Where do you think they got the idea from? :)

  • @elbethere err..shakespeare

  • @shoegaze246 I know. I was being sarcastic :).

  • thank you for this vidoe as im currently studying it for my gcse course in english litriture i luv this scene!!

  • He cooked them up because they raped his daughter?

  • Raped, cut her hands and tongue off. Destorying the one thing that was as true to his heart as anything. Took his "sons" and killed them. So ya cooked them up as revenage back at those that took so much from him

  • Titus wasn't exactly a stable guy by this point in the play/movie.

  • ...God, that's good!

  • Revenge is best served in a large meaty pie made by people and forcing them to eat it!

  • Wat an ending for thy film. Thal Titus now lie across his bed for now he has been murdered an now is dead. For Lucius live on in his father's stead, to rise to power as thy sky glows red. :)

  • Revenge .

  • That is messed up when you think about it hard enough.

  • Does anybody think that the woman who played Tamora in this movie would have made a good 'White Witch' for the two Narnia movies?

  • ¡MASTER PIECE!

  • I love the broomhandle mauser at the end of the scene

  • i did this play exactly a year ago, oh the memories!

  • Alan Cumming is very underrated.

  • tamura and her sons got what they deserved.

  • this scene is so fucking creepy :S feaks me out!

  • Wonderfully dry laughter! Kudos Hopkins

  • This grossed me out so much, but it reminded me of hannibal, then i laughed. Alan Cumming, and Anthony are brilliant.

  • The meat is kind of raw for my taste. The Emperor looks like Pee Wee Herman.

  • lollers at the bullet-time effects

  • love that stabbing sound...brutal

  • this movie actually made me cry....i actually cried...phenomal acting

  • 2:09 OH!! bad Tamora

and she took a bite of her sons lol

  • Your Open QuestionShow me another »

i am studing to become an actress i am doing a monologue from Titus Andronicus but have no clue what its about and have no time to read it i am doing one tomara's monologues.

    thanks so much

who ever helps the most ill defo speak of in my Oscar speach

    xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I AM TITUS

  • Does she know that the chef is Titus?

  • dead horse the time was ancient Rome but they have added mdern day elements and nazi inspired uniforms.I think it won sme kind of cstume award not sure though.essica Lange is kinda hot in it.This is the type f rle meant for Hopkins Shakespeare, while for some difficult to understand deals with many elements of the univrsal human condition.

greed, deception, revenge, murder, villany, scorn etc. That is why his wrk is timeless.Time may change but the human psyche des not.We are like any animal.

  • Lol i love this film.

  • "Hmmm... son tastes delicious!"

  • What time period does the movie take place in? from the trailer it looks like the mid 90s and the 1940s and Ancient Rome.

  • Killing him with a spoon! Where was Alan Rickman when this film was made? :-)

But seriously, the whole film was great, though hard to watch in more than one sense.

  • Quite frankly,I find the entire concept rather hard to swallow.

  • I believe that is the point.

  • I you think this is bad, read the book "120 Days of Sodom".

  • yes but... this is just fucked up.

  • "whereon their mother hath daintily fed, eating the flesh that she herself hath bred"...credit to Hopkins....credit to Billy Shakespeare

  • Nothing beats seeing a pair of eurotrash pretty-boys being turned into pies and fed to their mother.

  • The best!

  • Brilliant...only anthony hopkins could play titus

  • PERFECT!

  • What the fuck? That shit right at the tippy end was surreal.

  • I did not know they had guns in ancient Rome...

  • does "adaptation" tell you something?

  • goons lol

  • That pie...

That pie is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.

    God, I love this movie.

  • It is so hard to get through that part of the scene! With them cutting slices for them and their eating it... Not that the rest of the scene is any more delightful. What an ending.

  • Titus Androdicus is so wacked out. Got even moreso when Julie Taymor did it.

  • My favorite kind of pie.

  • god i love that last part of dinner

  • So what was the Italian song in the video? I must know!

  • I think it was 'Vivere'? Maybe...I'll check it out.

  • EXCELLENT! You're a genius!

  • Uh...*kinda scared*...Thank you?

  • Is that Italian for "I will live".

  • I think so, at least that's what I've been told. I could try a translator site, though it might not give the exact translation.

  • Whoah, i don't wanna make a jerk of myself here, but could you post the whole movie pleeeze?

  • I second that!

  • Sweet sweet cold revenge

  • Yum! LOL! :-)

  • Your wife is wrong if she said Titus is anything short of excellent. It's my favorite film of all time.

  • im reading this book but the ms. said this movie socks

  • saturninus just got spooned to death

  • ei, the chef is hannibal!!! that's why!! lol!!!

  • The scene where Jessica Lange gets stabbed is golden!

  • Haha stupid woman! But eww at the same time!

  • great, magnificent... hopkins is great!

  • great, magnificent... hopkins is great!

  • Shakesphere pulled a Sweeney Todd! So I wonder if the Sweeny Todd myth stemmed from this play?

  • No. Sweeny Todd is a classic victorian legend on the city of London. There are lots of bloody plays like Titus Andronicus on literature history.

  • Bloody is a bit less extreme than cannibalism. I'm just saying that due to the cannabalistic parts of this play that it could've possibly influencded Sweeney, since both Shakesphere and Sweeney Todd are English. Of course there are bloody plays in literature. Blood and Sex sell no matter what.

  • Oh, Cannibalism. Sweeny Todd wasn't a play (sorry of my English). It was a tale inspired in real murders cases.

  • I know Sweeney wasn't a play. It just became one.

  • so, are you asking if the murderer was inspired by this?

  • amazing movie, one of the best tragedy of shakespeare,

  • this movie makes me hungry for pie.

  • Titus, the origional Sweeny Todd

  • lol i love this scene im i have to do a massive essay on it by tomrow lol i all i have is

    "titus andronicus"

    i think i might get an a*

    bizzle x

  • Woah, that ending is insane!

  • brilliant!

  • hannibal much?

  • I am doing this play and i am Saturninus... but i wont be wearing as much make up, but i still want to be able to kill titus like that..... this scene rocks!! I love it!

  • I'm a girl and I played Saturninus. We did it sort of like the film at my school. It was awesome.

  • Lol, saturninus is ok to play as a girl... hes that much of a pussy.... BUT STILL AWSOME!!!

  • We did the movie scene for scene and I had to like...make out with my friend Kaley a couple times.

    Awkward.

But her boyfriend thought it was hot and constantly asked us to rehearse.

  • lol... i did it for UIL so i did not get to make out with my CHEATING WIFE....grrr

  • yeah, that was a real kick in the balls for me AND Hector (Kaley's boyfriend). When Tamora/Kaley was cheating on me with my best friend.

    Wow, that sucked.

  • I bet if kids had to read this play instead of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare would be a lot more popular.

    God, I love this movie.

  • Have you ever actually read titus and tried performing it? This is amazing.

What suprise ending are you talking about? that's how it is in the play. titus is fuckin out of his mind.

  • The inside ofm the pie was so red weren't they suspicious

  • its a meat pie, thats how they are
