Its a bit weak to say ah LCW beat both because head to head is far better to LD and you say that after over a half year break of LCW win over LD in which he lost at the World Championships, hongkong open, china open, and also exhibition four kings if you count that.

@triplefire0x Not that worse. He won the world championship in 2011. He changed his style. Less aggressive, more strategic. He saves his talent for important matches.
@4DTHINKER yeh I could see it, but in my opinion I think it was a lot more interesting when he played aggressively. Also it was because of his aggressive play that won him the Gold Metal :D
i think lee chong wei is to emotional, to much human to be on the top, the toughness, the mental strength to get over a lost match. Im not telling that lin dan isnt human, but this is just giving up everything to be at the top. Im sure lee chong wei can do it too, but he has to give something extra, I'll be looking forward to see whos the next god of the olympic 2012 in london!

i like lin dan but i find him a bit lazy, he doesn't try his hardest then ends up stumbling or diving or running all over the place no control, but when he's trying his hardest he's nearly unstoppable!!! nearly :)
@splatrick123 I think he likes playing to the crowd so of course you´re he sometimes seems to have no control when being good when making pace but I think he is mentally strong I mean you mental strongness to always be good at the deciding points and he is he is better than all and also at important tournaments like olympia world championship or for his team he is at his best so he won all he can be lazy sometimes and even if he is he doesn´t so in my opinion he is just crazy with himsellf

I think you mean Thomas Cup 2010 here? of course he slows it down a little bit but that´s the way he plays he is controling everything and then slowing down cause it´s too hard to give the pace

the 2008 Olympic shows how good lin dan is, the match is a lop sided one, with the speed and attacking mentality of LD there is not fight for LCW. Although i am personally comes from Malaysia, but i don't really respect LCW compare to LD. I believe to some sort of degree lefty always prevails and from others clip i see that LD writes with right hand. If he is a right handed but plays with left hands this is the athlete that everyone should be afraid off.

LD already completed his grandslam so winning or losing this year is not any important, but if LCW can win next year olympic then I will personally say he is good. However against LD real attacking mentality LCW has no chance at all. @TheHeinovic getting? don´t know.... he wants to towel down ! if you mean that so he just wants a break and gets it because he has to ask the umpire and LCW so both get a break but it´s a bit surprising maybe cause LD was controlling the match so why need a break^^ but maybe just to stay cool in his mind letting LCW time to think ! that shows LD´s self-confidence in this match !! ;-)

the 2008 Olympic shows how good lin dan is, the match is a lop sided one, with the speed and attacking mentality of LD there is not fight for LCW. Although i am personally comes from Malaysia, but i don't really respect LCW compare to LD. I believe to some sort of degree lefty always prevails and from others clip i see that LD writes with right hand. If he is a right handed but plays with left hands this is the athlete that everyone should be afraid off.

@88keyboard but... if you look at science of human... guys climate of strength is on the age of 25... thats why lin dan wins olympic on 2008... but this year is chen jin and simon santoso's year of 25... that's why lin dan having a hard time playing agaisnt simon on korean open this year... i don't know how will he fight against chen jin tonight at german open... hope he'll win...

@jerichozborg92 yop :D he is, but he is still the best so if he wants to win and concentrates then he is the best in a relatively good form !! It is important whats in his mind - is he motivated or not ? thats it :) I think if he prepares well he is the best, of course it isn´t easy to beat LCW or Chen Jin but he won the most matches against them and so he will in the future I think :)

@gjaren123 LCW is good but the hype behinds him is not, malaysian always promote him as world number one and this as though make him as impossible as possible as invincible as if he is the best. When I see newspaper on the pre tourney brief always and always I read that he is the best he is very good, but at the end he still lose? I do not blame LCW he is a top class badminton player but please do not have the Malaysian mentality when he lose, be a graceful loser

@88keyboard the olympic final lcw was under pressure do u know that? ur nt lcw u dont know that and i dint say lin dan was nt good but they are both wonderful players all england 2011 lcw won in 2 straight games so i think u shuld give every player respect cause they give hard work to reach this top level

@yujian10 Every good sportsmen need to handle stress if he want to play in top level. LD already completed his grandslam so winning or losing this year is not any important, but if LCW can win next year olympic then I will personally say he is good. However against LD real attacking mentality LCW has no chance at all. You come from malaysia you know the papers always write as if LWC is god if he wins BUT will give useless/rubbish comment when he lose. This is one point that i don't like.

@yujian10 if you were to convince everybody lcw is good then you are wrong, he is world no 1 but yet in comparison with lin dan he is not good. Every sportsmen got own fans and haters that is normal. Ask people from UK or country others than malaysia and china and ask for their personal opinion which player is better and which player can conform the title of the best of all time. I dont blame you to be supportive to lcw because you are a malaysian. Fair enough

@yujian10 Never in my conscience i did say i am better then lcw, this you have to take note. I respect him as a athlete but i dont like the hype and news associated with him. Take an example last time he DID condemn that the backup player is underperforming. HARLO , tolong them la instead of condemning them last time when he is young he also started as a novice then only slowly climb up the rank. He is world no 1 and malaysia top player but he should himself ASK how and when did he contribute

@88keyboard to making the junior circuit and the backup player become better. That is ultimate sportsmen in my opinion. I did not say i disrespect him but i just think that lefty preview against right in additional to a attacking lefty. Unless you are a right handed that choose to play with left hand (which is not that superior in terms of muscle memory and power) you will not know the hard time they went through. This is the point i want to stress and i respect lefty sportsmen a lot.

I can guarantee the way they train sportsmen in china is better then in malaysia. @88keyboard and dislike, if i were to tell everybody including you that, LD is the best i might be wrong. Each people got their own mindset, and i am not god to convince everybody. HOWEVER, I have preference that LD is better then LCW, he is a lefty, he is an attacking player and i know if he is a righty but choose to play with left hand, he must went through a hell out of training to be this good. That is my opinion.
