My Switch from Parallels to VMWare Fusion

Just what I am looking to do, how is Corel Draw on the mac since you made this video a few years ago?

It's okay, it's not as good as a native PC to be honest. But let me preface this. I have a late 2007 iMac, 2.4 Ghz, 4 GB DDR2 RAM. The iMacs that are out now are much faster than the one I have. I've also switched to WIndows 7 over XP and due to that being a more memory intensive OS has some effect also.

To get the best experience, when I run Corel I turn off the Mac intensive apps and that helps. Just sometimes the rendering takes a second longer than I like, like, just moving an object.

If you're getting a new iMac though you should be just fine and I hear VMWare 3 is also a lot faster than VMWare 2 (which is what I'm currently using)

It's still better than Parallels too. It just stinks Corel tells you to buy an extra program and an entire OS to run their software on a Mac.

@Beaknuke I'm only seeing this message now so I apologize for the delay. I still use VMWare but I'm now using Windows 7 and an i5 iMac and 11" MacBook Air. It works great on both machines, the SSD in the Air just flies! I'm still using Corel X3 and it is smooth on both machines.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not so I'll just answer this way. The video was for a contest for VMWare Fusion to win a MacBook Air. Sadly this entry didn't win the Air but a consolation prize. How I wish I was a better actor.
