im aware that many folks feel differently. im not a music expert but i just don't buy the fact that she doesnt lip synch or autotone, that she is 27 yrs old or (whatever she claims). she just shakes her body to the music in a way that appeals to people ... there is no dance training reflected in her moves. can she do a pirouette? can she hold a note for more than 4 beats without shouting? can she play and instrument? does she choreograph her own stuff or just do what people tell her?

Sorry, but I took 3 years of West African and Caribbean dance and im very conscious of what dance is. Im surprised that you reduced African dance to just "shakin ur booty". Its not just about shakin ur booty, there is a way to to it properly. I don't even see any African dance influence in Beyonce's moves either (at least Janet jackson incorporated different dance forms into hew work). Beyonce shakes her head, she might as well call it headbanging taken from the heavy metal scene

look here, she DOESN'T lip sync. Just take on of Beyonce's song and compare them to the live performance. It's so goddamn clear mayne. And I think you're right about the dancing; but she dances decently, lets give her that; she's not a dancer like Ciara for example, but let's take RIhanna for an example; She can't dance at all, and it makes a performance dulle
