Well I watched it once and didn't have much of a problem understanding what it was supposed to be about... I did have a problem understanding the praise, though.
I hope they make fun of how the camera is ALWAYS moving in every scene and the music NEVER stops. It gets worse with every Nolan movie. The man has wonderful ideas, but his directoral style drives me crazy.
@melosebrainuhoh On that note, one of the most interesting things about TDK is that the car chase - the most action-intensive part - was pretty much the only musicless scene.
Honestly, I bought this Rifftrax and it was poor - the least-satisfying Rifftrax I've ever bought, and I've been a happy customer for more than a dozen.
They make jokes about Ken Watanabe's accent by substituting Ls and Rs, which isn't even what he does, and then they talk about Koreans being bad drivers, and other insulting stuff - seriously, it goes way heavy on the asians. I'm just warning you that this riff is more South Park than MST3K.
I think the word "overrated" is overrated. I always imagine that "overrated" means "You and everyone else are dumb for thinking that a movie is better than it is." It's like you have a massive ego. Just because *you* didn't like a movie doesn't mean that its positive reviews aren't still justified. I didn't like "Dark Knight" or "Social Network", but I'm not going to call em "overrated"--I know why people love em; in fact, I acknowledge that they're great movies. But I still won't watch em.
Jeez, I did man I don't diss people who like the Dark Knight, people diss ME for not liking it. I don't think it's a bad movie, I just didn't like it as much as everyone. pfffftt forget it I want my love back.
atleast they aren't riffing because they dislike it...they're just giving all the anti-nolan crybabies what they want...if you honestly think the dark knight and inception are the most overrated movies of all time, then you clearly have only seen 50 films or less..
@AtheismandSkepticism I thought that at first, but I'm not sure how they'd do it with feature length riffs. I can live without them. The SHORTS however I am totally behind them bringing back the silhouettes.
Also, you can love Inception (like myself) and still find this hilarious. Don't worry Nolan fanboys, it's alright to laugh. :)
@Zekkxy I totally agree, especially about enjoying the movies they riff. I even enjoy some of the ones they did back in the mst3k days...(please don't judge me for liking Joe don baker movies... lol).
But seriously, just having a small hosting break in between acts would be so refreshing, even if it's just the guys talking about the film and what's happened, no puppets. (But I suggest including the puppets). It would kinda bring a personal touch that we all know and love from mst3k.
This rifftrax was pretty boring. Did you actually listen to this? Most of it isn't even commenting on the film, it's just them making stupid jokes about random shit.
Even good movies aren't perfect and can be made fun of. I love The Dark Knight but I poke fun at it all the time and the rifftrax for that was hilarious. I can't wait to download this and play it with the movie.
@olliegalli1234 LOL don't worry I know; I enjoy fooling around. Nolan is actually an excellent guy and makes some of the most amazing pieces of cinema ever; this movie, eh it was okay, but not on par with some of his previous works
I know some will say "but this is a GOOD movie!" but keep in mind how they ripped into Memento and Dark Knight and how "good" is in the eye of the beholder.
@dietfreeman42718 It's a seriously good movie. I didn't find it as confusing as some people did, though, so don't let that stop you! It had a lot of emotion and great elements I didn't expect. I only saw it once a few months after it came out, but I plan to get it on DVD soon!
@hezky90 I totally agree. I love this movie, it's so creative and original but I've been waiting SO long for the Rifftrax of it, cuz i knew with how good it was (in my opinion) the riffs were going to be hilarious!
@HollyBee9000 your loss...inception is a great film, and one of the more original films of the past few years...atleast someone is making good films in hollywood..
@dubleyhew13 I really could care less. It's the Riffs I enjoy. People raved about how amazing Avatar was but really in the end it was just a bunch of blue treehugging hippies linking their hair into things like they were USB ports and bouncing off trees and flapping dinosaur birds.
I could totally see this on like FX, you know how they do, release a movie to TV, have a DVD on TV after that, and heck, why not add a riff to the movie after THAT
@randomguy199545 Me neither! And he was giving info that was really critical to the plot so I often got lost because I couldn't understand what he was saying.
