This song always makes me sleepy. And whenever I close my eyes to this song I imagine myself laying next to the Master Sword where Link placed it, with Link next to me playing this on his Ocarina while Zelda quietly listens, the moon shining through the cracks in the ceiling of the Seald Temple.
You don't realise how much you love someone until they're gone... this is we did with Fi. We just assumed that Fi was just a device, something that we could rely on; we called her for assistance, and then we just assumed she would always be there to give advice. But I realised how fond I'd grown of Fi when the Master Sword was taken away by the Bokoblins. I... missed her. And then when she had to leave Link forever... I... broke into tears. ;__;

Some of the music from this game was more heavily fantasy-themed than the other games, which I like. The fact that Skyward Sword has a powerful fantasy vibe contributes to its magnificence.

I have something even more painful. Playing A Link to the Past now and seeing the message "And the Master Sword sleeps again... forever." Thanks to the official timeline now, ALTTP is the last game to have the Master Sword in it. Fi will wait for a new master to come after ALTTP, but she does not realize a new one never will... So sad!!! :'(

Fi is awesome! She reminds me of Glados from Portal, and I love reading her lines the way Glados would talk. I thought it was neat how she pointed out the batteries were low. Btw, it's not like you have to listen to her, anyway. She just lights up. It's not like she randomly pops out of nowhere...

I did like the fact that she didn't steal the focus of the game. She was sort of just there as a guide which made getting on with the game and story seamless.
I think that Fi is the reason OoT Link was sealed in the Master Sword. Her residual consciousness recognized that he was not yet ready to be the Hero of Time, and Sealed him, just as she had Sealed herself.

@redquoter Yes, but the difference is, that's how Fi is supposed to be as far as the "not much personality, just does her job" thing goes. She was a thing created by the goddess solely to help the Chosen Hero, and nothing more.
Navi was a good companion. A bit annoying at times, but that's the function of the gameplay element. I still got all tremble-lipped when she left Link at the end.
The thing about Fi that is annoying, is that she's too clinical and soulless. I'd like to see her become more human as things go along, as Link collects the sacred flames, it would add an interesting dimension.
She also has a tendency to use words that are a bit outside of her vocabulary.
@Jcolinsol I think that was the point, though. Everyone expected Fi to become more human as the game reached its ending, but in reality, the closest she got was being happy. It gives a new twist to the "unhuman" companion idea...And I think that kind of made it a bit more striking when she left.
@JeshikaKazeno I'm thinking it's either the echo tenor ocarina or the american indian flute. The song throws me off because of the backgrounds synths really... and if it were the indian flute, then it is played in a non-native american way.
@Abipom11 The clarinet is way too smooth, and while it does sound very much like a flute (especially if you listen to v=wkl_3qHsuXE), it is much too clean. I would have to lean towards the ocarina, as it is much more "airy" in the echo. Plus it would only make sense that the instrument is the ocarina.. it's a Zelda game.
to be honest..i found this game so much more enjoyable than skyrim. there was just something missing in skyrim.... maybe it was heart. zelda always has heart in all their games (that's what games seem to lack now a days).

@asands123 Skyrim is not even that nice looking. It just looks like another generic "realistic" game and character models, to be honest, look like crap. Not to mention the glitches make the game practically unplayable. Skyward Sword has some of the best graphics I've ever seen.

t was fun me had the whole cabin for myself, drinking Cokes, but then suddenly I was like "WTF turn it off" and I ran downstairs in the sauna, I didn't touch the game for a month, but then I had enough I was so poised off. I got mad at her for keeping me away from such an awesome game and slashed her ass XD
When I first played this part, it was truly magical. It was more of an experience than a game at that point. The moon and the clouds at night, the mystery and the uncertainty (as well as the amazing music) was just...epic.
I love this song. It makes me realize I've been playing a game series that's older than me for nearly my whole life, basically it's now a part of me.
Let those my age have their crazy-ass underage drinking parties and their constantly spreading drama. I'm happy being different from them and playing a series that I've grown up with for years.
fi's regular theme isnt as good as this is! the song where u follow her..its late at night and the setting is perfect and you've never seen this being before....its dark out and you follow her feeling adventurous and then this smooth song kicks in....honestly the first time i ever played this i sat the wii mote down and just closed my eyes and listened...follow fi was awesome.

Fi was the best companion of the zelda series, because she wasn't annoying (navi), or a jerk (midna towards the beginning), and she actually gave good advice, she even warned me that my Wii mote batteries were almost depleted

I love Skyward Sword so far. Zelda was a huge part of my childhood and I played Ocarina of Time everyday for over a year. I remember every saturday afternoon as a kid, I spent playing Zelda, now I'm 17 and I'm still doing it! Zelda fan for life!
This game is so amazing. It deserves every bit of attention it gets.

@darklink2nd I know what you mean lol, but let's face it that cat was nothing compared too Blizzetta, I remember it like yesterday, I was in the cabin alone playing TP.
t was fun me had the whole cabin for myself, drinking Cokes, but then suddenly I was like "WTF turn it off" and I ran downstairs in the sauna, I didn't touch the game for a month, but then I had enough I was so poised off. I got mad at her for keeping me away from such an awesome game and slashed her ass XD

When I first played this part, it was truly magical. It was more of an experience than a game at that point. The moon and the clouds at night, the mystery and the uncertainty (as well as the amazing music) was just...epic.

I love this song. It makes me realize I've been playing a game series that's older than me for nearly my whole life, basically it's now a part of me.
Let those my age have their crazy-ass underage drinking parties and their constantly spreading drama. I'm happy being different from them and playing a series that I've grown up with for years.

fi's regular theme isnt as good as this is! the song where u follow her..its late at night and the setting is perfect and you've never seen this being before....its dark out and you follow her feeling adventurous and then this smooth song kicks in....honestly the first time i ever played this i sat the wii mote down and just closed my eyes and listened...follow fi was awesome.

@julex234 Sadly it doesnt look like Fi will ever return. At the end she went into an eternal sleep. And since the Goddess created her at when she sent the land into the sky she was meant for the very first hero which is this Link. So it doesnt look like she will ever come back

Fi was the best companion of the zelda series, because she wasn't annoying (navi), or a jerk (midna towards the beginning), and she actually gave good advice, she even warned me that my Wii mote batteries were almost depleted

I love Skyward Sword so far. Zelda was a huge part of my childhood and I played Ocarina of Time everyday for over a year. I remember every saturday afternoon as a kid, I spent playing Zelda, now I'm 17 and I'm still doing it! Zelda fan for life!
