@Matilda1137 - Did you dip the sensing surface of the wand in some oil? And try putting some oil on her stomach. The oil creates good contact, water might work too, or some aloe vera jel. Press the wand firmly to her stomach just in front of her udder and move around til you hear the tone. I had no trouble whatsoever, so... you may have a defective device. If U cant get it to work well, call the manufacturer and ask them for advice or help with it. Good luck, and let me know what happens.
only great video i have seen I am thinking of purchasing one for my herd. can you go into more detail on placement of the "wand" and use? how has your accuracy been so far? Were you 100% accurate in this video?
@stevo429 - Hello, thanks for the comment. Hoegger Goat Supply sells this preg tone for $490. Seems kinda high to me, so I borrow one from my friend. Accuracy is 100%, from my experience, and the experience of my goat friends. The sensor end of the wand must be oiled to ensure good contact with skin and I trim hair where I touch the belly for good contact. Press the wand against the belly just in front of the udder. You will hear the tone difference, and you will get the hang real quick.
