Yeah but in this video we're talking about special effects and not the story. Every movie in this clip was a big step for technology may you like the film or not IMO.
'cause starting with "Indianer Jones" the movies were great except the 3 I mentioned. Polar Express is nothing new and nothing special, Harry Potter is just another Wizard story and also nothing special, and Avatar has no good story. The hype about Avatar will run out eventually.
Story is the most important element of a movie, special effects and CG are secondary or even lower.
This isn't special effects evolution... this is the evolution of CGI
