@tonyman2c No way he beats Maravilla. williams maybe. He's way too defensive, hardly throws any punches or initiates the action. He'd rather stand in his shell and counterpunch all night. Santos is no Martinez. Santos threw the same combos all night! No uppercuts, hardly threw any body shots at all. He had no arsenal and very little technical skill. Martinez has that in spades! And don't forget that Sergei is moving UP in weight to face a slick, skilled, and solid harpunching middleweight!
@ekineme I am glad this match is coming soon. Santos throwing more body shots wouldn't have helped because Sergei showed he could counter hard against Santos. You see Sergio is also a defensive minded fighter, the only reason he looked so offensive against Williams 2 is because he felt he could hurt Williams and he didn't want boxing politics to decide on the outcome both of which Sergio learn from Williams 1. What do you think about Margarito beating Sergio and Santos beating Margarito?
Sergei has one of the best jabs today, but should throw the left more. He can beat Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams if the fans demand the fight.
