FDR was against any sort of collective bargaining right for public works, really? Please present some evidence to this claim as I am strong incredulous being that FDR championed labor rights. Ah, I think plenty of Unions have problems, but to do away with the right to collectively bargain has put us in a position with lower worker benefits and economic instability. Certainly unions have protected incompetent works and some unions have acted as political machines not always with the interest of there members at heart. However, by contrast the rights of workers should not be destroyed - how could an individual seek justice against an organization like Wal-Mart.
You may not be part of a Union, but you certainly benefit from collective bargaining and the larbor movements which sought to end child labor, promote safe work environments, promote worker's compensation, etc.

Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. There is ONE example of a terrible recession that a president pulled us out of and quickly, and that is President Harding in 1922 by cutting taxes 50% and spending 50%. Obama is just following FDR's failed policies.

What predominately got us out of the depression was the high demand created by WWII. Also, I believe numerous economist, including nobel winners, Krugman and Stiglitz would disagree that spending absolutely helps stimulate the economy, and job recovery.

FDR was against any sort of collective bargaining right for public works, really? Please present some evidence to this claim as I am strong incredulous being that FDR championed labor rights. Again, I've said some unions and individual members has been corrupt/problematic, unions have been known to protect incompetent workings for ex., but the right to a bargain should be afforded to employees and as we need public employees they should have the right too.

The results from the Wisconsin recall elections are AWESOME. Despite unions organizing and making it seem as if most people are behind them, the results of the Prosser election and now these, show that the State is split but that the loud minority is just a loud minority. Recall elections should be saved for ethical/criminal issues NOT how someone voted on 1 issue. This was all about overpaid power teacher unions not wanting to pay "their fair share". Maybe now we can focus teaching kids.

The voter should control taxes. The teacher's unions have show they abused collective bargaining by being unwilling to give back or at least stop asking for more during economic down turn. Ah, I think plenty of Unions have problems, but to do away with the right to collectively bargain has put us in a position with lower worker benefits and economic instability. Certainly unions have protected incompetent works and some unions have acted as political machines not always with the interest of there members at heart. However, by contrast the rights of workers should not be destroyed - how could an individual seek justice against an organization like Wal-Mart.
