Well the thing about this song is that it wasn't done as a professional cover, this was a last minute encore that they did after somebody called out for it. While Gerard's vocals are a bit sketchy, I like the raw power behind them. Matt Pellisier's drumming is clearly one of the best things in the song, Michael Way's bass is pretty intense while Ray Toro's guitar playing takes the cake. It's a good cover, but I'd like to see a professional version of it.

I love this version and I love MCR.

You specifically chose to watch this video (in other words, you wanted to watch it), and are now bitching about a band you know nothing about.
1. I looked up "Morrisey Jack the Ripper" and "Jack the Ripper" on Youtube, and MCR's cover didn't appear in the first page. Obviously you spent some time searching for this.

The Black Parade is an overproduced pop album and really really bad. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is another overprodced, albeit less tuerrible post-hardcore album.

I mean obviously Morrissey's version is the best, and AFI sounds just like it +Davey Havok's voice, but at least this version innovates with the song a bit, changes the style which is better than your standard cover.

Sorry, but I started to listen to My Chem a little over 2 months ago, but I love their other albums as well as The Black Parade. Vampires and Cemetery Drive are two of my favorite songs, so not all MCR-fans now are Black Parade-fans...

The Black Parade is an overproduced pop album and really really bad. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge is another overprodced, albeit less tuerrible post-hardcore album.

The only other thing you could possibly be referring to is Phantoms Forever, their demo which was handed out to like 50 people for free. And Emotive Hardcore was originally a jokey name for an offshoot scene in D.C. Educate yourself.
