I played this game and never understood the story line, is there an actual story to this?

@PaybackTyme yes, the guy you're playing is an antivirus that's saving the system from viruses and I guess the system is the collective memory of life on earth. area 5 clearly shows the evolution of life and I reckon Area 4 is the culture and reminds me of Egypt. I love how at the final levels the system is talking to you as if you are the virus. At the end (spoiler alert) you're rebuilding the heart of the system represented by a white silhuette of a woman (mother nature??). The end.

The game is called Rez HD. It's the 360 version. There was a PS2 and a Dreamcast version.

It is, nothing is changed aside from HD graphics and 5.1 Surround sound.

I believe there are achievements, I may have to recheck on that

@federationCCRA Yeah pretty much the same mechanics. Much better graphics/sound quality. 60 fps vs the DC's 30 fps. PS2 had 60 fps but jaggie issues and other stuff too.

I competed area 4 on the xbox but how do you get to area 5 because their is an achievement called eden where you have to competed area 5

You need to get 100% analyzation on levels 1-4 (ie shoot all the eightsevensixfivethreetwoone boxes)

If you have an Xbox360, you can download this game for around $10. Very well worth it IMO. AND it's an HD upgrade from the original Rez game.

I love this area, mostly for this ultra eye-candy boss fight. I love when the guitar kicks in, the boss becomes a humanoid figure running TO THE BEAT! Gives me goosebumps when I'm behind the controller, I feel like I'm DJing not only the music but the music video. 8D

Maybe it's just me but the synth sound starting at layer 07 seems a tad higher in pitch than the original Rez on PS2/DC...
