xbla version camera angles r terrible sometimes, but i do like it, just to cruise through levels i hate the time limits they give to finish the stage.

I play SADX on pc, but it just isn't the same :( I just realised that there are spiders and grass and trees in this stage on dreamcast, not on DX

@strawberrysmile22 there are Spiders @4:17 in DX, but the legs are more thinner so it's hard to see them. but the Dreamcast version is way cooler. i think it's faster too than DX. In DX, Sonic slows down when he gets chased by the whale when he's about to turn left which is plain odd. You can see the comparisons in Emerald Coast. i don't really see any difference in sound, tho. but i'mma get a Dreamcast again cuz i miss this version and i never had that much time to keep on playing the DC one.

this level was SO SICK-

WHile i eventually played the older sonc games, and love Sonic3 and Knuckles...the middle era of games is my favorite- Sonic adventure thru sshadow the hedgehog....im looking forward to Generations...however, music in Sadventure 1 and 2 was...so epic for each level......Well, there was news that someone in SEGA finally possibly thought up the bright idea of a SA3 , so there's hope XD

@tippership Nah the thought was already there from the start. The challenge was making a game that could come after SA2. So instead they made Heroes and a buncha "test" games to get results from fans to help make a better formula. Sonic 06 was a mix of SA1, SA2, Heroes and Shadow but was incomplete. Unleashed was SA3 at first but due to being too different they made it it's own game. Colors was made from the results of past Sonic games as  well. All we gotta do is show we want SA3 they said. =)

I really miss this game! Best Sonic game ever!! The retro ones are really hard to play as it's a side view and can't see what's coming or where you're going. Much better as a behind view!!

So I never owned a Dreamcast or played this game, but I have played the acclaimed Super Mario Galaxy titles. This game seems to be more imaginative and graphically on par about 10 years in advance. I think I'll pick up the PS3 port.

I deliberately didn't collect the speed shoes inside the volcano so I could listen to the whole music track. Soundtrack "Red Mountain Part II" is AMAZING - got it on my iPod :D

its like in the gamecube version the environment was detailed a lot more and some of the bugs were fixed but i dont see why the couldnt fix them talking and the way their mouths moved...its kinda crrepy

you know that you can get sonic DX (directors cut) for the gamecube, which is an improved version of the dreamcast version?

Many people have actually reported glitches in the Gamecube versions of Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 that weren't in the originals. If you ask me, you're better off getting the original Dreamcast versions, but in the end you're getting practically the same game.

Not quite, the textures and graphics are superior in the Dreamcast. The GC may have more polygons, but all the beef is in the DC version.

@ExtensionEXE No. With the Gamecube you get the lame Axis controller that doesn't work as well as the 360º Dreamcast controller.

It doesn't look so, but it makes quite a difference in controlling Sonic.

yes it did, its because we've got so used to putting up with the crap half the game developers churn out nowadays. Dreamcast was a legendary console, such a shame they ran out of money, due to previous console and online investment etc. Even though some graphics are chunky, the level design, layout, animation and texturing makes the game look brilliant. The only game local in timeframe to have impressed me so much graphically is metroid prime(soul calibur II, starfox adv and fzerogx come close)

I love the music in both parts of this level, but there's one thing that bugs me about it. What in the world are those things moving around in the cells of the Volcano? The inside of the volcano is just strange.
