all you do is just check up on your patches until it hits 3.0.9 because it gets rid of all of your patch data so you have to repair it by re installing it. then it will try to go back up to 3.2.0 but if you want it just at 3.0.9 just hit X or cancel when it's there. then in order to avoid the launcher, which starts to download the patch and doesn't let you play, go to your WoW folder, and you'll find the WoW icon that says launcher, DONT CLICK THAT ONE, click the one that says WoWnext 2 the icon

i have done it, and now i'm doing it again, to try different ways. My first try was simple, uninstall Wotlk :p took me 5 minutes to install all and patch up to 3.0.3, really simple. now i'm trying the wow repair version showed here and checking if it works on 3.0.3 from 3.0.8 =)
