  • I remember the radio stations in the 70's were so diverse in Northern California. You would hear this or Fleetwood Mack and then here Earth, Wind, & Fire and then maybe Al Green. I miss the 70's.....

  • @sancisco yes indeed

  • Buck Mayo on the keyboards! Awesome.

  • saw him live last night in maine....

    sigh....

  • Over 40 years since I first heard this, and it's only now I realise what a beautiful gem this is.

  • The greatest love song ever!!!! Just great!!!!

  • Thumbs up if family guy brought you here

  • Thumbs up if this randomly got stuck in your head.

  • Family Guy ??

  • Once upon a time there was this relatively unknown singer whose immigration lawyer insisted he was a major force in current world music. In order to come to the U.S. as a performer he needed to be an alien of distinguished merit and ability. A guy, working for the USINS, took a chance that he was or would be soon such a performer and approved his petition. The rest is history. True story.

  • 1976, Summer, first time I laid eyes on Wendy McColgan..what a song!

  • This brings back so many memories.

  • I remember walking round Virgin records back in 1976 when I was at university in Hull. There was a young boy about 6 or 7 years old with his mum browsing the shelves. Mum's saying would you like this dear "Bobby and Betty Goes to the Moon" or some kiddy record. The lad quickly retorts "No Mum! I want this one it's absolutely brilliant" He was clutching the Frampton Comes Alive Album. That was the impact this superb album had back then, and it still stands the test of time today.

  • @subductionzone54 I'v actually got "Bobby & Betty Goes to the Moon"!!!!

  • @Grogster2 My mates bought it me at Uni as a joke for 25p, It was the only kiddy title that stuck in my mind when I was posting comment on Frampton. The story is correct but I don't recall what mum was suggesting to buy when the lad picked up Frampton's album. The joke is now on my mates as this has become a bit of a cult collectors item and in good nick is worth around £40+. Sadly ironic that it is worth more than the Frampton Comes Alive album on vinyl. Still have both' but Frampton wins it!!!

  • good super

  • When this song was popular, a buddy of mine and I took a trip in his customized van around Lake Michigan. We'd camp at different state parks and forests, taking in nature and meeting girls. Main event was a drag racing event down near Holland, Michigan. Met some really nice girls near Traverse City. And then met some others when we stayed at Yankee Springs State Park near Holland. Oh, to be young again !!!

  • Saw him recently at a concert in the vineyards in NSW Australia with Chicago, America and low and behold Brian Wilson, I'm 56 years young and am a victim of living in the sixties and seventies, and you know what I don't care.

  • @xbgsute351 As you wrote, "and you know what I don't care." is how I am beginning to feel. I can relate to that.

  • @mollysangelique You have an awful lot of Commas and zero Spaces in your message there. It seems to incorporate more than one language, as well. Is that a Cypher, Olde English, or some language i just can't recognize?

  • Who Baby is what I remember. It was a great summer, chicks loved this song..a great love song. A special time, and as P Frampton has said, he wrote this and 3 other hits, in a very short time, but could never get that back, wished he could. The reasons, I say, and he admitted, this was a special song, and time for him.

  • i love this song.

  • i wish i lived in a time before heavy use of electronics, everyone is so addicted to tv and computer and having their face stuck in their phone while they text 24/7, it just distracts them from the real beauty in life

  • @ericsyutubeaccount , Trust me. Now is better. Then was good but now is better. You can still relive the past through YouTube. I was there. Now is the best. Especially if you still are hot.

  • @ericsyutubeaccount Yeah, it was a wonderful time to be alive. When this album was released, I spent most summer weekends camping on a remote outcropping of cliffs alongside a beautiful lake with about 60 other 18- to 20-year-olds. Someone would invariably have this playing on the car speakers for everyone to enjoy. No TV. Just radio. No internet. Just friends - in person, talking and laughing in realtime before the invention of LOL. Man, it was great.

  • @ericsyutubeaccount to each his own man..

  • @ericsyutubeaccount

    You too, huh?

  • @ericsyutubeaccount Your listening to this on youtube you tool

  • @The15Clarke people like you make me happy to be educated

  • @ericsyutubeaccount In this context your statement doesn't even make sense, you obviously use that line several times a day

  • I REMEMBER THIS SONG..IT´S GREAT

  • So Sexy.....

  • Wow i was a in the majorrettes in Emmitsburg Md waht a great song

  • I remember when i was 17 back in 1929 at woodstock driving around in my dad's old corvette on I-95 with my girlfriend at 2:00 am. I ended up killing five people later that night and contracting aids from the blood spatter. I then sat for the next 5 months on my sofa starring at my samurai sword given to me by my great grandfather from WW2. Great times listening to this song... I can't remember anything else from that night i guess that's a sign of a good time.

  • @edwardatwill hmm sorry buddy u trying to make a funny? corvett didnt exist in 1929 lol

  • @edwardatwill um....okay....

  • You gave us unbelievable music to meditate too. It was so relaxing. PEACE

  • I'm pretty sure this song was playing while I was conceived...

  • @expandonthat LOL

  • @expandonthat that's pretty funny. i was a teenager back than. good times,good times

  • @expandonthat I appreciate the technology to be able to regain my teenage idols of the Internet! Otherwise, it would have to content myself with memories of my imagination!

  • sin palabras.........!! hermosa...!!!!

  • WELL I WAS ONLY 6 WHEN THIS CAME OUT.. NEVER THE LESS I LOVE FRAMPTON AND ALL HIS MUSIC! IT MAKES ME SO CHILLED OUT:)

  • I was 15 when I first heard this song and fell in love with my first husband !!

  • I remember hanging on to a school bus from the rear, with feet on the slippery bumper. The sign was ripped away from the metal rivets and my 4 (fatter) friends got scattered along the road at 40 miles an hour. Me being skinny, and on the end, I was able to remain on board, and was laughing and crying at the exact same time.

  • @JosephDillon57 LOL...

  • It was a kick ass ride

  • A really cool time to be in love

  • I was born in 1983...... My Era is way past this song. And I love it.

  • I was born in 1975...around the time this song came out....of course I heard it much much later...and its the winter of 2010...and this still makes my winter afternoon of Friday 10th Dec 2010 memorable :)

  • I was 24 years old, the best summer of my life!

  • just tha best eva..........tru............

  • lol :)

  • @76csibe76 ff

  • @winbingo28 "ff" ??

  • hard to beat all that but my high school girl used to say that I was his double.... We had romance that was pretty far cool for 1977/

  • I was at a Zellers in milton ontario, loking at his album, and spnt 16 dollars to buy the ablum, half a weeks paycheck ....... for a high school student, he came to London Ontario this summer, had a sick baby at home mised you, not next time, I will travel to see you

  • Billboard's #88 song of '76. Sure beats the cover versions, right, gang? Peter hit #12 pop, #28 AC in Billboard. God bless!

  • Funny how those of us that grew up in the 70s associate vivid memories with Frampton's music.

  • I MISS 1976!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Peter Framptons playing live in Hawaii today. But I can't go because of school :(

  • "Frampton Live" defined our generation. Growing up in the 1970's was so different than growing up today. Every girl was in love with Peter Frampton, everyone had this album and there was no denying the impact of this song.

Peter Frampton was a self-made rock star, with sheer writing and vocal talent, nothing like the fabricated, commercial boy bands and teen stars of today. A true rock star then, and now.
