In PGSM, Minako has a bad illness, I don't think they said what it was and died of it in the 47th Act. She was reborn with the rest of the Senshi after the destruction and rebirth of the world. PGSM is very different than the Anime, but I like PGSM more.

Heh. That was the reason for putting it in, given the general message of the music video as a whole. But I think at that point, she was just trying to put Usagi off. Rei's not quite the joiner. For example, she proves that she can sing, but refuses to sing karaoke - says she hates it. I think with a lot of things in Sailor Moon, plenty is open to interpretation.

Rei and Minako share a special bond, a friendship that seems to go beyond reasoning. Whether it's the observant Rei and ditzy Minako in the anime/manga, or the loner Rei and pop idol Minako of PGSM, they seem exact opposites that simply cannot exist without one another. Mars and Venus/Ares and Aphrodite. War and Love. One does not exist without the other.

I almost cried. I have just wached this series and what was between Minako and Rei was something so beauytyful. True friendship.

When Kitagawa Keiko (Rei) cries it makes me wanna cry too and usually i cry too. She is good actress. I love her and Komatsu Ayaka (Minako) too.

Also, in addition to what I wrote in my previous comment, this song goes perfectly with Minako/Sailor Venus for the reason that she thought life was meaningless and that it was not necessary for her to have any friends since she knew her fate. But only when it was too late did she discover the true importance of having friends and people who care about you no matter what. Sailor Mars too learned that lesson the hard way by relying on her friends when she needed help.

It's weird how Rei/Sailor Mars knew something was terribly wrong with Minako/Sailor Venus the moment she stepped out the door. This video is truly touching and the song is beyond what words can say - it made me cry so much (but that's also because I'm very sensitive). The only good thing is that Sailor Venus somehow gets revived and comes back to life in the final act of PGSM, Act 49 that is.
