I am a minimalist and I only buy what I need. I went to CompUSA at 5AM on Black Friday to save a few bucks on a larger monitor of which I was in dire need in order to make my new job easier. It has surely helped and made me more efficient. I can't lie that it's also nice for TV shows, games, and movies though :D But that's about it. I have an older car, a small stereo system, a modest computer I built myself, a nice twin sized bed, etc.
