  • What was the upstairs headroom height on these?.

  • Ive drove one of these they are very fast

  • how many miles could these engines usually do say before rebuild did they go as long as the gardner 6lxbs?

  • These were the kind of buses that used to pound the motorways in the late 80's and early 90's wernt they? I remember my grandad telling me these type of buses used to go down the M1 to London. I remember going on one of these as a kid when Midland Fox in Leicester bought a few, it was amazing because they was pretty luxery with air blowers and coach seats and it was only a local bus service that they were operating on lol. Used to be great to go on a 20 minute bus ride on one.

  • @Andyc18 Air blowers ...... do they give out cooled air as in Asian cities or just fresh air from outside without any air-conditioner processing?

  • @bearchoirfan They used to give out fresh air from outside, would have been even better if it had been air conditioning though lol.

  • @Andyc18 Hong Kong's Citybus acquired one coach of this type in 1988 and installed a diesel air-conditioner on it. But with the commission of modern air-conditioned buses with electric air-conditioning, this bus was converted to an ordinary open-top bus with commuter design.

Well, in Seattle USA there are buses of this type with electric air-conditioning, only they are tri-axle and left hand drive models.

  • This ECW-bodied Olympian coach was new to London Country in 1985 as its LRC7 (B107 LPH).

  • alsome

  • Great sounding bus, seems to have a knocking compressor though
