I take vitamins for my hair. I buy my vitamins from iherb dot com. They ship worldwide. For my hair and nails: biotin (Thompson) and Horsetail grass (Nature's Way or Nature's Answer). My hair is now in very good condition and long. I have a cupon code for this site if you want order the first time: VIK284 and you have 5$ off.
For hair ends: pure avocado/jojoba/argan oil -> very good!
I know I'm extra late, but I stumbled upon those comments and I'm just wondering who the hell has the time to wash their hair 2-3 times a week?! I wash mine every week and even that gets in the way sometimes. Your hair is gorgeous btw
I'm stretching too! 2 months already! but nxt week i'm gonna relax my hair! What I want to ask u is that: Is 2 months stretching okay? or is that too early?
Because I like my hair tied up in a ponytail and after months i gets hard/rough to tie my hair coz of the curls/new growth!
I'm using my Daddy's account and I'm 10 but i was wondering how to get long hair because every girl 1n my 5th grade class has long hair accept me. and they get to have there hair straight. and there black girls . i have pretty thick small curled hair and plus its frizzy and i want it to be straight . so i was wondering if you can make a video on how to make thick curly frizzy hair BONE STRAIGHT. my

i just stopped using a relaxer (last time was in december) to try & grow my hair out this year & after the 2 month mark i started washing & deep conditioning my hair once a week & then straightening but NOW i'm 4 months in so i'm trying hard to cut back on heat. i tried a new style that eliminates straightenin (twistin & let dry) only thing i hate is by time i can comb it again a lot of hair will come out & scared it'll dry out even thought i put oil on it & still tie it up at night
nice tips i really appreciate these tips and ladies remember different routines work for different people find what works for you =) happy hair growing ladies !!!!
I just put oil sheen in my hair and my hair grows really nice untill I get tired of it and cut it, but I want my hair to grow, so what I have been doing is getting sew in weave extensions. I just took my hair out today and it is so thick and it is starting to come down my back before I put the extensions in, my hair came a little past my ears! :-)
Wow ur hair grew fast, I had to cut like 7inches off, cauz I had a lot of damage so I'm just goig to have to be patient and wait till i get my long hair back.
actually u should wash ur hair 2-3 times a week. keeping ur ends trimmed is important too. & don't use products w/ petroleum, mineral oil & alcohols in them. creme of nature is good & natural stuff like extra virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, & believe it or not, honey is really good too when u're conditioning (of course u rinse it out). but she's right about keeping heat 2 a minimum & try not to blow dry ur hair, sit under a dryer or let it air dry. too poofy? tie ur edges down & cond
IF a person washes their hair 2-3 times a week, it defeats the purpose of us telling htem to keep heat to a minimum. Depending on the hair type, washing it too many times in such a short period can cause breakage and dry out the scalp... That's why I said make it a routine whatever works for them...
it doesn't defeat the purpose, there are all these vids on youtube telling blk females we need 2 wash & cond our hair more often. the key is CONDITIONING & MOISTURIZING. u need heat just bcuz u're washing ur hair? dryness means u need 2 upgrade ur moisturizing reggie. & stop using products with harmful ingredients. tryin 2 make me look wrong? think not. watch her remove this now. lol
sweetheart, i dont need to remove anything... I'm not afraid of somebody tryin to contradict me.... Just like you said, there are a bunch of videos on youtube saying things different than me, but guess what... to each they own... Keep it movin... Thanx...
aquarianways..WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE A BITCH.. if you think belangel is wrong about how to take care of blk hair then go make ur own video...or SHUT THE FUCK UP
@aquarianways thats what i do.i wash my hair every few days.the longest i can go is 4 days and then i cant take it anymore.i dont understand those who wash their hair every 2 weeks or every month.belangelz is saying thought that people should have a regimen and stick to it.i dont think she's telling anyone how often to wash their hair.i also do not use heat at all.i airdry everytime.this works for me.maybe not for others but it works for me.
@aquarianways but i dont agree with the whole it defeats the purpose part of what she said cos if you dont use heat then how does it defeat the purpose?a clean scalp is so important.people need to know that. and i use hair one cleasing conditioner. i only use shampoo 1 or 2 times a month and then clarify 1 time per month.
Great tips. Could I just ask, when you say "Keep the use of heat utensils to a minimum", how often would be too often? Is once every 2 weeks too much?
When i say that, I mean do not become solely dependent on it. If you regimen is that of you using it once every two weeks, then thats fine. It's all about hte hair care. You MUST make sure that the products that you use benefit you from using those heating stylers... For example, dont flat iron your hair every two weeks without using a moisterizer and/or a leave-in conditioner...
Thank you so much for the speedy reply. It's not me who uses the iron, it's my stylist. I'm only just starting. Got my hair relaxed exactly a week ago and I'm going to see her next week for a conditioning treatment and she'll use the iron again and I'm going to her every two weeks after that. I'll see how it goes with this. I might have to ask her to stop if it causes a problem. Thanks again for the awesome tips. :)
I relax every eight weeks (more or less)... basically, every other month... As a child, I had a completely differnet regimen, therefore, my hair was already growing. Now that i'm older and get perms consistantly, my regimen has changed and it has benefited my hair and it has defnitely helped it grow. You just gave me an idea for another video now! LoL...
you know what? curly hair is a lot of fun!!! you can use it straight or curly whenever you want. So many styles you can have :) Plus it looks fun to relax, blow dry and do all the treatments the curly hair need. Curly hair women are very lucky, congrats your hair is very shinny and looks very very healthy. xxx
