  • I would have never thought of investing in silver, before watching your videos.

    THANK YOU

  • school teaches that gold silver and platnum are precious metals, but life shows that lead copper and brass hold true value.

    AMMO

  • @Jakerem870tac its all situational most other countries whos citizens cant have guns will cetainly be more interested in gold and silver

  • @cutlerylover True, some countries have laws that prevent their subjects from owning firearms.

Bouth your self and I are united states citizens and are free men so there for can own firearms. Legaly.

  • @Jakerem870tac Yeah, good old bullshit american attitude..but aside from that, isn't it more like " holds true power " instead of value ? Or is ammo really that expensive ? I dont know, i live in a country where we dont have a " holy right to carry a Smith&Wesson 500 to protect my garage " .

  • I found these videos strange that the music in the first one for stackers sounds like a gangster rap background music and contains guns and money (and I recall at least one rap song talking about 'stacks' of cash). The second, with the cute little assay card gold was young and trendy, even gullible sounding music. The last one sounded like typical mafia video game music.

The marketing of these products seems to not be towards people with solid financial grounding or education is all I'm saying

  • @MikeFromTheUK1 You pretty much contradict yourself by saying "gold/silver have no value" and then "value changes". The best I can interpret this would be that since all countries dropped their gold and silver standards years ago, fiat currency obviously can't be directly exchanged for it's face value in gold/silver... Which is true, yet all countries still hold these metals at high value. Value is what someone pays for something so value is real but value changes on how badly someone wants it.

  • be a little bit careful, those 2 stackers are like $500/$600

  • Why do some bars just say "Made by Academy", while others say "Made by Academy" AND "ISO 9001-2000 certified"???

  • We now ship to Canada and around the world.

  • good video thanks for posting

  • I was on PAMP and was unable to locate the certified card. Cutlery - any good links to the certified cards?

  • @nls8520 the certifications cards ARE the polastic case they are in they have matcghign serial numbers and all the info they are called assay cards...

  • Hi, what about International shipping, do you know of any good dealers?

  • Hey, love your vids as always and really good to see you going into precious metals now too - always interesting!

Anyway I thought it might be a bit of an idea to make a video of different methods of actually testing that a metal is what it's meant to be based on temperature, acid, density or whatever...

I'd worry about spending like $200 on an ingot when, technically, it could just be a hunk of iron with a layer of silver or something...

Anyway, just an idea, keep up the awesome vids!

  • Actually authenticating silver is easily done by holding it and looking at it. It has a particular weight/density and a simple ping test will prove it's consistent.

  • man,,,silver is down big time in last 2 days...

  • i would invest in silver, but i'm only fifteen.

  • Doesn't make 1 bit of difference how old you are.

  • i mean it that i'm only fifteen and only get paid approx. $100(canadian) a month from delivering newspaper. unless theres silver i could buy with that amount of income. if so, please inform me cause i'd really like to invest.

  • You could build a pretty nice collection with that amount a month. Some silver coins are only worth 2-3 US$ so it depends on how much your willing to spend. I'm not familiar with canada but I'm sure they have websites similar to craiglist where you can buy Silver under spot from people needing quick cash. Most commercial retailers will sell silver Over spot which basically means more then melt value which adjusts daily depending on demand. Nearly all US coins made pre1964 have silver.

  • you can go on american sites in Canada. hahaha. and most early coins have silver here too. i just have no clue where to find it.

  • @MattCatt7 im Canadian too ebay or Canadian mint

  • @rzpaintball ok, thanks

  • @MattCatt7 no problem,

  • I had an uncle in Saudi Arabia, and he had a safe in the floor underneath his bed and before we knew of the safe we used to notice many bruises on his wrist and fore-arms and we asked him about this and he explained that whenever he had to get or put back something in the safe the door would often fall shut and bruising him, with the inside joke being his wife beating him.

  • whats the music called

  • I need to get some scottsdale 10oz.. You should check out APMEX if you haven't already. They have a very nice selection

  • Please don't forget that lead is a precious metal too.

  • lead, copper, aluminum, ect are base metals, not preciuous metals...

  • @cutlerylover what does base metal mean. is it worth a lot of money! because i have a lot....probably hudreds of pounds of beer cans in my back yard and aluminium is a precious metal right so do you tyhink I could make a fortune with that my beer cans???.

  • @playdrums base metals are metals used in induistry but are not precious, aluiminum is a base metal, you cna get paid for it, a good biut of money compared to other base metakls, but you still need hundreds of pound of it to make decent money...look ujp a local recycling center for more info

  • @playdrums Just think of it this way: If you live somewhere where there is a deposit required on beverage containers, it's worth more to just cash them in that way (Here in Canada, for most beverage containers, in most provinces, is about 5 cents a can)

  • no it isnt, its one electron (wharever that means,my tech ed teacher told me)away from gold.

  • what the music is?

  • NOT!

  • gold and silver prices are HIGH AS HELL why would you buy it now I just dont get it

  • @slimjim355 Inflation adjusted? It's dang low.

  • This is interesting. Is it really a better idea to tie up money in gold bars as opposed to other investment solutions? Where would you off load this bricks when the times comes to do so? Thanks, and nice vid.

  • there are alot of ways to invest money in our world, this is just one somewhat "hidden method" I say that becaue precious metal investing is rare when your talking about the general public, and many view it as novelty and dont take it seriously..which is fine that means there is more for the people who do, lol, if everyone wanted precious metals tomorrow the prices woudl. be outstanding! anyway you unload the same places you bought from...and its VERY easy to sell silver and gold all @ the world

  • Nice response, I think I might get into this! You're right it's much easier to spend cash, but I could save some cash by tying it up in gold.

  • Really good vids about precious metals!

But could you do a vid about some precious metal sources that ships international?

    I would really apreciate it!

  • king stackers go for $2070 0.o

  • hey jeff do you still have that kershaw E.T.??

  • @HinataRox213 pretty sure he got rid of it

  • what was the song name in the beginning? sounded awesome. great video im really interested in this stuff!

  • never mind, you said it was a commercial, but still, cool vid! =)

  • did you make the intro? if so, awesome job! =)

    5/5

  • Comment removed

  • Dear Jeff,

hey do you know any sites that will tell you the gold/silver quality of your coins. That coinflation is good but it doesn't have some of the coins I'm looking for,

    Jason

  • Im suire they are out there, I just dont know any off hand...try google...

  • ok. i will. thanks man

  • @cutlerylover does silver bar get tarnish? since its not in airtight sealed case?

  • yes they can and will tarnish if not in a sealed container, I will have videos in the future when I pick up different storage items for my silver...but like any metal a tarnished piece cna eassily be polcished back to when it looked new...

  • CL- be aware of the ol' "drill 'n' fill" on bars. I would not get ANY bars myself, I like Eagles, but keep the size down if you're going to get into bars. When the shit hits, people are going to be drilling out bars like crazy and filling them with base metals. Count on it.

  • @kensho3 Nearly impossible with small bars...a simple ping test (using a pencil and a string) would tell you if it was drilled or not. Don't believe the hype over fakes....simple to tell.

  • That's why I said keep the size down. BTW, The best thing for me is to see how many people are starting to remember that PMs are real money and thats getting them to discover the biggest secret out there: Paper money is just a scam on us to take our real wealth. Get rid of dollars and get into PMs. Everybody, DO IT NOW!

  • i definetly agree with you on that, man.

  • I loved the xd in the safe

  • thanks for the vid but i don't thank scottsdale silver is for me i just going to buy a little silver with each pay check that way i can afford new knives and stuff but the vid was educational

  • Dear Jeff,

I never would have cared about investing in precious metals if you hadn't told us about it. I thank you very much and I have learned a lot,

    Jason

  • If everybody bought PMs with their fake "dollars" we would take this country back from the bankers overnite.

  • Thx Jeff You Got Me Thinking, i would be very good investment.....

  • I got one of these on new yeah as a present. .and I was like. . eem. . thanks. . i guess. .

  • @twos1269 He mentioned this in his intro video :)

  • 2:14 LOL WOOT

  • The intro is cool :)

  • Its 6 thousand for the academy bar

  • I believe the Scottsdale Silver 10 Troy Ounce Silver Stacker Bars also say "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the front. Right?

  • @ZippyGaloo Yes, you can see it more clearly on their website. Awesome to see that.

  • mf'r now you got me on ebay buying silver bars! lol...im for real though

  • @mattinmo ebay can be a nice place to buy silver. be be aware of frauds on ebay. if you buy silver just look at the ratings people have. if they have lots of rating and still are 100% then you can be sure that its ok. lots of fakers on ebay and also ask then about the shippingcosts before you buy! because there are people who ask more money than the shipping normally costs. and also never buy bars or coins above the actual price of silver. collectability does not mean a higher price.

  • ya i know im an avid ebay buyer/seller i make sure i protect my arse!

  • What do you think does it make sense to get one 10 oz bar or ten 1 oz bars?

  • @alexrobbinsnoob i think ten 1oz's because in case you need to sell it, you just sell what you need and not all of it

  • @alexrobbinsnoob it depends on why you want to buy silver. if you want to do it to profit from it then i would suggest to buy a 10 0z or higher bar because they are a bit cheaper than the 1 oz bars if you want silver in case of emergency/disasters etc then i would go with 10z bars because you can sell /trade it faster in a more exact way. it would be hard to chop up a 10oz bar if you only need a small amount of silver for your trade.

  • @alexrobbinsnoob - You can try either out and see what you like best. What's nice about continually buying is that it's savings! -- so a healthy addiction.

  • Nice vid bud!!!!

  • In God we trust. All others pay cash.

  • Just a note of information. Assay card is pronounced like "ASS" Ay. Emphasis on the long A. Good Vid!

  • damn thats going to cost alot of money

you win the mega lotto a while back?

  • would you like to trade some knives

  • Good info Jeff. Thanks!

  • just remember coins ahve a much bigger premium than bullion at 1st, so you pay either way...to buy silver for the sake of silver its cheaper to buy ingots and rounds, but your right over tiem coins have more of a liquid market as well as retained value...all depends what your into...I like variety and buy both...

  • is ur camera on ur head????? i know its not on a tripod cuz it moves too much

  • lol, I use a tripod, but in video mode I have a feature that I cant shiut off, it centers the object Im filming...sorry I know its annoying...

  • o i was just wondering cuz i see the camera move and im like he has to have it on his head but now that i know im happy lol but any way i like ur vids man keep it up

  • like the video but the intro was a bit to long

  • sorry, I wanted to show the entire video on their #1 seller and most interesting piece...

  • Hey Jeff ,I just purchased 10 oz bar from SD.with shipping it was $215 total.but I followed last 5 10oz SD trasaction in e bay,and average price was $218 with free shipping....I guess buying it direct from SD might be cheaper option

  • yeah ebay happens to have alot of people who have this I have to have it kind of attitude and outbid each other and usually end up spending a tiny bit more on it...you only get good prices if you watch alot of auctions and stay up late to bid, lol...

  • @cutlerylover by the way,,great review on fake master tanto that I donated..semper fi...

  • thanks man! alot of peopple thanked me for that, but I tell them all not to thank me, it was a very nice viewer...

  • Those are some expensive dominos. I hope their is dark chocolate under that shiny surface.

  • lol...

  • I hate you man..after watching this video.I bought 10oz silver bar from SD.....lol

  • lol really?

  • Ill have more silver vids in the future, I think you will enkoy owning it, and knowing you do as you watch prices go up in the future...maybe not in the immediate future, but it will go back up, its only a matter of time...

  • Great Video! 5 Stars!

  • Keep up on the metal videos love em! My only prob is I have a problem paying $24 an oucne for silver when it says its only worth like $18. I gotta find a place that sells it very close to actual market value.

  • every needs to amke money...I know a mcdinalds meal doesnt cost $7 tro amke but we all pay for it anyway, lol, I know what your saying, but it wil be hard to find anyone who wil sell for its actual value...if you want to pay $18 an ozt you wil ahve to wait until its actualy value is closer to $14-$15...

  • are those just plates?

  • the image on the home page is a closeup of a coin...

  • Oh okay.

  • is the point of these bars to buy lets say 10x 10 oz bars for 200$ each and in 30 yrs sell for 500$ each?

  • @pointbky for that sort of investment you'd probably(i am no expert) be better off short-selling(not investing long-term) through the stock market. silver and gold hoarders are usually either collectors or people preparing for the collapse of the U.S. monetary system. both subsets are investors of sorts; although, not in the normal sense.

  • @jrmym2

exactly, a lot of us just use silver to protect our wealth (what little we may have lol) from the frailty of the US dollar. If you want to buy low/sell high then get into silver stocks rather than physical silver bullion.

  • @pointbky

something like that, silver is an easier commodity to move as well since it's real world applications are slightly more numerous than gold due to cost and such.

  • yes..some poepel dont like to hold onto it that long, but it all depends where the value goes if you study its calue history and sort of try to predict whne its high you sell,or you cna wait for the cycle to go back around tiself until its high again hoping for a higher new high, lol.Siver in the 80's hit $50 an oucne, some day that was a flukeeither way it did it, and can do it again.that means whatever you buy now, you woudl more than double your money, but there is NO promise of that...

  • So now I'm interested in collecting some gold/silver rounds.

My question is: when it comes time to sell them, where can I sell them to for USD without using the internet?

  • @Repter75 pretty much everywhere. People make money from buying and selling prescious metals, give the internet a look to find places near you but they are hard to sell because most places take a while and say that they need you to leave your G/S there which i will never be okay with so I suggest you find some places where they are instant paying, you drop it off take your cash and leave and check the worth before you go in some like to haggle.

  • somneon already replied, but also look to seee where your local coin shops are, they all buy silver, but dont expect its actual value, perhaps a bit less...

  • nice editing in the beginning!

  • that was NOT my video, just to be clear...

  • i love the music what is it?

  • Sorry I dont know, you woudl have to contact scxottsdale to find out its their videos...

  • Cool!

  • yeah you want that briedcase full of silver with that XD as much as I do, lol...I counted the bars and layers, there are 100 bars in there, at $200 a pop retail thats $20,000...I wish...lol

  • can you list all the songs used during the image slideshow of the products?

    sounds pretty neat

  • do you ever go metal detecting?

  • not, yet, lol, I really want to start that, YEAH, another hobby, lol...

  • cool ^-^ it's a pretty fun hobby.

  • great vid.

  • i have a double eagle 1 troy ounce 999 fine silver the my grandad gave me a cupple of weeks before he died. people say its worth about 30 pounds but im not going to sell it

  • something like that you would probably want to keep, maybe give it to your kids or grandkids someday..

  • please dont start making 40 min videos like nutnfancy lol... gold and silver is a gooooood investment only if you can protect what u have lol 5 star

  • do you think its better to buy the gold/silver its self. Or to invest in a fund which buys gold/silver since they work in larger quantities and probably get wholesale prices

  • thats up to you, actually another way I will be investing in precious metals down the road when I cna afford to, is toi buy stock in minign companies that mine for it...if they hit the jackpot and find a huge amount, stocks go up, then I cna sell and use the money I made to invest in more companies...

  • Jeff now is not a good time to buy. Look at historic silver prices. In a few months it should be at least a couple dollars cheaper an ounce.

  • most of this was not purchase recently, but your right, and I do mention that fact is the previous video...prices are a bit high at the moment..

  • Thanks for responding, and I watch all your videos by the way!

  • CL, When will the Victorinox solder review be up?

  • Im not sure...but it will happen sometime...

  • Ok cool, thank you =P

  • a thing just pop't in my head

you like to collect stuff dont you?

  • you know I never looked at it that way before, lol...just kidding, yeah my hobby is collecting cool, fun stuff...

  • i like to collect stuff 2 it started with junk went to transformers now limited and special edition games are my target lawl

  • whats the ounce going for?

  • right at the moment of me typijng this an ounce of gold is worth $1,130.00...and silver is $18.39

  • wow.. I should pull out some of my old gold coins I know they are like 24 oz and i got like 30 of them.. hehe :p cost to me 0 cost when boughten 100... not bad investment from my granparnets..

  • in a ghost voice sellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll itttttttttttttttttttttttttttt sellllllllllllllllll ittttttttttttttttttttttttt ooooooooooooooooooooooh selllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll itttttttttttttttttttttttt hehehehe

  • nice...

  • these companies paying you to make these vids?

  • nope, I have yet to be paid a single penny for any videos I do...I get this question alot though, especially with countycomm gear, lol, I just like talking abolut good companies that sell stuff I like...

  • @cutlerylover are you a youtube partner? cause you have ads on your videos, anyways they should be paying you :D

  • yes I am a partner, but you dont get paid to be a p[artner, you cna make money from ads, but I dont put ads on all my vids, it gets annoying after a while for the viewer...

  • @cutlerylover Hey, you put the time into them you should be making a little off of them :)

  • well I do it for myself, makign the videos is just to share what I am finding out, thats all...

  • it is good that they dont pay you becus then you would just be a sell out

hope i got that right i'm from Sweden you see. If not you probably still understand what i mean

  • I know what you mean...I woudl like to be paid, lol, I can certainly use the money, and I woudlnt have biased opoinions because of it, but for now I dont...

  • jeff great series of videos. let me ask you a question thought, if looks as if you have enough silver to equal a sig sauer am I right? Just an observation

  • currently I do, but promised myself ocne I bought silver its NOT going anywhere for at least a few years, lol, please dont remind me, its very tempting, lol...

  • lol o dont know if i would have that kind of will power . hope you get something from it

    ~Gyroscopes

  • the problem with silver and gold bars are some are fake ie led inside and then gold on the out side and the only way to tell its fake is breaking it in half and you see it.. always always by certfied stuff..

  • another thjign I will talk about in a future video is plating...some coins and stuff say 24K pure solid gold EP...some peopel miss the EP which stands for electro plating, so its a layer oif gold, not solid..same goes for like 100 mills of silver...just a plating...if its not certified just be sure to buy from a reputable place..

  • well if you 'd be first you be like 'swet!' as well,... so yea

  • Who gives a crap who comments first? You should spend the time that you use to try and comment first and grow a pair.

  • Nice, i collect a little silver too!

  • second, dammit
