You have really great videos! I love the tips you give and your humor. You are also very sweet, I'm glad I came across your channel. One thing I've noticed is that you say "chic" a lot, and it tends to get old, so I think you should use other words to express chic, like trendy, modern/mod, stylish, current, polished, sassy etc. Just mix it up, so the word doesn't get old and begin to feel boring. By the way, for those who are a Bible believer, God was the first person to clothe mens with animal skins. God could've used other plants materials like cotton or linen but used animal... Wendy, I enjoy your videos. I feel that if one wishes to wear leather then that is their choice. As others have mentioned, no one is immune from harming the environment in this 21st century age. There are conflicts around the world that are impacting HUMAN BEINGS yet people seem to be very much concerned with animals. Animals are important too, but it is the destiny of humans that will truly decide the future of our planet.

@calibur1910 I'm totally with you on the hypocrisy of some activist. They get consumed with their own cause and forget about other struggles in the world (ex. I donate to Peta & Sierra Club once a year and it's frustrating the amount of letters and wasteful packages they send weekly. I care about animals as much as I care for the environment and landfills.),but I support Mimi and her sis bc they're openly/actively learning and ACTUALLY taking a stand. Creating a awareness and a dialogue is good.
@calibur1910 You know hun, you are right. But I personally stopped using L'oreal products when a subscriber pointed to me that they do animal testing. Prior to that I wasn't even aware of that, or maybe I just ignored that fact. But once a subscriber pointed it to me...I stopped not only using the L'oreal products but all products that test on animals. That's why I know it works...I believe perhaps Wendy some day will also reconsider wearing animal skin. This is my cause that I believe in.

You can't change everything to try to be more earth conscious. I understand where you're coming from but maybe you should see what YOU'RE doing instead of someone else. Leather pumps, suede, etc... I just do what i can, and hope that that's enough

The key: shop consciously, save for pieces that you are in love with, will wear often or atleast will take care of it to last you a life time. The environment is just as important as animals. Wendy without knowing it is sending a strong message- quality over quantity! Cut down to well made pieces and a well edited wardrobe.

@LuxyHair I completely understand where you're coming from. But back in the day like WAAYY back in the day, didn't humans use animal skins/furs to clothe themselves, for warmth and whatnot? So I think since it was such an integral part of human lifestyle back then, it's hard to just completely stop a process that we find reliable.
@amynadao just because something was practiced years ago, doesn't mean we should continue that practice. leather doesn't only kill cows, the chemicals used in cleaning and treating the skin is harmful to the workers who do it. if people like the look and feel of it, there are fake versions that are just as good.
@LuxyHair These animals are bred for leather. If not for leather they wouldn't had even been born. Basically, you are rooting for not letting animals multiply and breed, which is their primary goal in existence. Some kindness there.

@besionishe She's not rooting for the repression of animal reproduction, she's rooting for people to leave the animals alone and let them live their own life, not just to be raised to be killed. The fact that the animals were raised and allowed to breed for the sole purpose to be killed is wrong.
@bluelover404 In order to leave animals alone we would have to leave the planet. And that is not an exaggeration. Our houses, our industry, our roads and vehicles all destroy natural habitats and kill animals on a daily basis. Our waste is killing off species. So it is unbelievably hypocritical to sit in a home, using an electricity-powered computer, wearing oil-based synthetic clothing and send messages that killing animals is not nice.
@besionishe It's true that almost everything we do affects other animals, The Earth is only so big and it's getting crowded. Yes, we're all fighting for room to live, to grow food and find materials to build with. However animals are being grown by the millions ONLY for human benefit. They're kept in horrifying conditions and treated like shit. I get it, I understand that evolution taught man to uses other animals as resources. But the way we treat other species on Earth is just disappointing.
@LuxyHair I do agree with you, but usually, leather is a bi-product, and animals are usually killed for meat. Before anyone says I'm really 'pro-animal cruelty' or whatever, I'm vegetarian, and I only own fake leather/fur garments.

And to those with leather-issues: I eat cow (meaning meat) so why not wear the leather? I think it would be much less respectful to throw the rest away without using it, don't you think?

Maybe a hat video? or accessories 101 video? love to see a cocktail party dress video for the upcoming holiday parties too! You could SELL scarf tie cards better than Hermes cards girl! I like your videos and u are very sweet. I wanted to bring something to your attention. Are you aware that leather comes from the body of dead animals?Did you know that some animals are specifically killed and skinned alive to make a bag or shoes, or jacket , especially the " designer stuff". Do u think it's worth it to wear all this stuff in the "name of fashion?"

@LuxyHair I completely understand where you're coming from. But back in the day like WAAYY back in the day, didn't humans use animal skins/furs to clothe themselves, for warmth and whatnot? So I think since it was such an integral part of human lifestyle back then, it's hard to just completely stop a process that we find reliable.

@amynadao just because something was practiced years ago, doesn't mean we should continue that practice. leather doesn't only kill cows, the chemicals used in cleaning and treating the skin is harmful to the workers who do it. if people like the look and feel of it, there are fake versions that are just as good.

@LuxyHair Shitty one, by human standards. However, they have nothing to compare to. They don't know they can run and play. they don't miss it. Besides, it's not like otherwise they'd go get a degree, travel and enjoy artwork. Don't anthropomorphise animals. And they don't care what gets done out of them after they are dead. Even if a human dies, they don't care if they get buried and rot or get used for a bag. It's their relatives who do. Animals don't have caring relatives, so get over it.

@besionishe "They don't know they can run and play" -- that doesn't make it okay. if a child is locked in an empty, windowless room for their whole life and neglected by the parents, he/she wouldn't know what they're missing, but that doesn't make it okay.
No one expects a cow to go to college and become a surgeon -- they're cows. But they should be allowed to live their life without humans forcing them into misery. And yes, cows do have families and friends who care for each other.

@besionishe She's not rooting for the repression of animal reproduction, she's rooting for people to leave the animals alone and let them live their own life, not just to be raised to be killed. The fact that the animals were raised and allowed to breed for the sole purpose to be killed is wrong.

@bluelover404 In order to leave animals alone we would have to leave the planet. And that is not an exaggeration. Our houses, our industry, our roads and vehicles all destroy natural habitats and kill animals on a daily basis. Our waste is killing off species. So it is unbelievably hypocritical to sit in a home, using an electricity-powered computer, wearing oil-based synthetic clothing and send messages that killing animals is not nice.

@besionishe It's true that almost everything we do affects other animals, The Earth is only so big and it's getting crowded. Yes, we're all fighting for room to live, to grow food and find materials to build with. However animals are being grown by the millions ONLY for human benefit. They're kept in horrifying conditions and treated like shit. I get it, I understand that evolution taught man to uses other animals as resources. But the way we treat other species on Earth is just disappointing.

@LuxyHair I do agree with you, but usually, leather is a bi-product, and animals are usually killed for meat. Before anyone says I'm really 'pro-animal cruelty' or whatever, I'm vegetarian, and I only own fake leather/fur garments.
