Why all of the whining? There are like 900 non-Foo songs on the RB library. You should be thankful that there is still one band or two who likes to have their song on this game, unlike others like Led Zeppelin and such.

What is fucking ridiculous and insane, and should be assaulted instead of a plastic guitar friendly band, is that kind of people who produce musically amazing songs, but care so much about money and describe GH/RB as the disgrace of music. So much for a little gratitude. >_>

Let me put it to you this way. The Foo Fighters have more songs in Rock Band than AC/DC, a band that got THEIR OWN EXPANSION PACK. At some point, it gets to be a little overkill.

I'm conscious of that, man. I know very well that the whole FF ordeal can get saturated, but I'm really bugged about the fact that a band who likes to see their music on a game like this is generating much more hate than a band who not only wants their music away from these games, but also bash them like they are the apocalypse of music. I didn't mean to offend anyone, I just don't like how the former is getting more hated than the latter.

It's not so much hate that there's so much of them, or that they're willing to put the music on the game; it's the fact that there are other bands that want to be on the game, but the possible DLC spots are taken by them. RBN will solve part of that problem, thankfully.

Just because I bought a PS3, and invested a huge amount of money for DLC, I shouldn't have to buy RB2 for 360, get a nice set, and then be able to enjoy RBN.

They must make RBN for PS3, because honestly, ditching half of Harmonix's fans is not a good strategy.

We STILL don't have the new patch (the one with the new sorting of stars)

From what I know, admittedly not too much, it's just that Microsoft has the whole XNA thing.. Should Sony get that, RBN would work fine on PS3..

XNA is a game studio where you can basically create your own XBox 360 games.

Apparently, 360 owners have full access to the RBN. PS3 owners will have some of them, though, as Harmonix will chose the ones that go to the PS3. Basically, the full RBN is for the 360 while the PS3 will be a Best Of kind of thing.

The bands have the right to, or not to have their music on a video game, and shouldn't be hated as such, i'm not complaining that Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters are on the game, and "music game friendly" i'm complaining that THEY out of all people shouldn't be so over-saturated, they aren't classics, they've been around for about ten years now, whoopeedoo, they are replacing bands that DESERVE a bite more or SOME attention with The Foo Fighters, thats not right, it's getting past overkill now

Yes, they do have the right to not license the songs, but, labeling the game we play as "death of music" or something is just downright absurd. While I don't see much defensive posts on forums upon this kind of attitude, I see tens of flamewar pages upon FF "stealing" other bands' chances to be on RB. (yet there isn't only one band per week in case of minor packs)

So there is a question. What is worse: a band "stealing" space for other bands or artists mocking or even wishing the end of GH/RB?

Alot of people take offence to music being more accessible for a less "hardcore" audience, its the same with "indie" fans complaining when a band gets famous, they all have the right to do it, bands who damn GH/RB have a point, they may generalize, but so does everyone else at times, it's not affecting anything so why care? The Foo Fighters are in fact, stealing slots other bands should have for other reasons, so they are affecting things
