  • I hope we get the option to throw this statement into the councilors face when he asks for help.

  • @pyroshower4 Agreed. No wait what if he denies it? Here's how I imagine that happening:

    Reapers touch down on Palavin.

    Turian Councilor: "Oh my God"

Shepard: "I told you they were real!"

Turian Councilor: "The Geth are invading!"

Shepard: "That's it I'm leaving you to die."

  • "Shepard help the Reapers are attacking the Council"

    "Legion"

"Ah yes, Reapers, the immortal race of sentient starships allegedly attacking the Council, we have reached consensus and dismiss that claim."

  • he probally is just as paranoid he just doesn't accept it so his concience can stay intact I need to help you turian so you don't finger quote like a ass

  • I can't wait to see the Council faces when the Reapers are up thier asses

  • Um kind sir the reapers are attacking humans first so pretty much your going to them and ask for help then if he finger quotes were pretty much fucked we need Turian forces but... They calibrate to much

  • I hope that in ME3 the Turian council member comes running upto Shepard screaming "THE REAPERS ARE HERE!" and the replies are "Ah yes, Reapers..." and "Have you tried to finger quote them away yet?"

  • If we don't get to mock him by making finger quotes, I'll be incredibly disappointed.

  • Anything the Turian leader says is the opposite of what is true?

  • ME3... Shepard: "The Reapers are here!"

Turian Council member: "We know, the fleets are ready."

    Shepard: "But... What...?"

Turian Council member: "Hello? Do you think we'd have told you all our military secrets while you were working with a terrorist organisation? Or scared the public by revealing the Reapers are real? Want me to show you those sweet Thanix cannons we installed on the Destiny Ascension?"

  • @GortosXtreme They aren't smart enough for that.

  • @GortosXtreme Very unlikely. But it did make me laugh though.

  • The Reapers don't exist.

    Why not?

Because the Turian councilor has dismissed their existence.

  • @RiksK25

Also we are talking ANYWHERE on the outskirts of the galaxy, we are talking hundreds of billions square kilometers, therefore impossible to detected anything, since they wouldn't know WHERE to look.

  • @RiksK25 The game is actually very clear that the Reapers are outside the outer rims of THE GALAXY, not known universe.

It's called "Dark Space" because it's a region of space with no stationary objects or light - emitting starts. Yes light do travels through it, but we wouldn't see Reapers anyways because they do not emit any light while hibernating as stated on Mass Effect1. And also, are too small to reflect enough light to be seen from such a massive distance.

  • up there for the thing im most excited for in me3 is seeing this turians reaction to planets getting destroyed by the "immortal race of sentient starships "

  • @41494 He's probably going to assume he's trapped in a bad dream and shoot himself in the head.

The twist will actually be that the Counsellor was correct. There are no Reapers. He DID dismiss that claim.

  • Wrex is red

    Liara is blue

    assuming direct control

    THIS HURTS YOU

  • @BootyHunter58 I've just laughed my ass off, mister.

  • ME3 Plot Twist: Turian Councilor is an undercover Reaper and the final boss.

  • @AnAmericanAce There is a strong possibility that he is simply lying.

Remember that even part of a reaper can indoctrinate people, and much of the salvage from Sovreign is officially unaccounted for.

  • @AnAmericanAce I swear I will jump up and do the plot twist dance if that happens.

  • @littlebluewolfie You should prepare to be danced then.

  • @littlebluewolfie He's not indoctrinated otherwise he would have found a way to open the citadel and destroy everyone/ thing. Still he'll probably be a dumbass and there will probably be a renage choice to murder him or let him die and if there is I am taking it, after he begs me for help and I get to respond by saying "Ah yes, Reapers". lol

  • @AnAmericanAce Cant wait to tear him appart shotgun blast by shotgun blast and when almost nothing is left, BIOTIC CHARGE!

  • @prylprylen haha that's pretty gruesome dude, I LIKE IT! Just add some incendiary ammo in for good measure.

  • @AnAmericanAce I prefer cryo rounds myself, just to watch him fly for a bit after a charge before landing and shattering into PIECES!!!

  • @prylprylen Truely....truely gruesome. haha.

  • @AnAmericanAce What scares me is the thought of what an Adept might do!

  • @AnAmericanAce I could see that happening. But not as the last boss though.

  • @AnAmericanAce THE ILLUSIVE MAN WORK FOR THE REAPERS!

  • @llllshadowllll15 Yeah, he really had an EYE for it...

  • @AnAmericanAce haha

  • @AnAmericanAce sure it is

  • @AnAmericanAce Good thing he's dead in my save then...

  • dark space.....its past Pluto right?

  • @lessthannormal01 no past the edge of the galaxy where theirs a near empty vacuum between galaxies.

  • @chris11211 i know, just trying to make a joke xD

  • @lessthannormal01 MUCH, MUCH FARTHER THAN PLUTO, my good man. the out side of our galaxy. Where there are no stars, a vast void, devoid of all life.... exept for the reapers. MWUHHHAAA!!!!!!!!

  • @Free28761 But the whole Mass Effect Universe seems, to be based around the Milky Way, is dark space outside of milky way? Because you know there are billions of other gallaxies that Mass Effect does not explore... So dark space should be beyond the borders of our universe (Not galaxy)?

  • @RiksK15 Possibly beyond the space and time that we know of, essentially beyond our known universe, which is also unknown lol.

  • @RiksK15 no dark space is out side of our galaxy, our universe has many galaxys, they are beyond our galaxy, dark space is the space between galaxys, space with out suns, light or any planets. A great Void. The reapers, when not a mass murdering spree, retire to Dark space and go into hibernation for 50000 years. This is so no sentient species finds them before the great cycle and destroy them. sovereign was a vanguard left behind by the reapers to tell them when the next cycle would begin.

  • @Free28761 So but then we could find Reapers easily if they were just outside of our galaxy, and also there could be much more advanced life already developed, on one of the other billion galaxies, that reapers seem to not care about?

    Now I'm confused!

  • @RiksK15 The space between galaxys are enorumus, so its unlikely that we would ever attempt to traverse it, dark space is also light less which makes seeing them impossible, and we didn't know they existed, even if we started to look for them its so large and open that we probably couldn't find them. They were shut down, hibernating,

so no one would detect them. They are probaly close enough to get there with out using mass effect tech but far away enough to ensure no one would discover them.

  • @Free28761 What do you mean it is light-less? That doesn't make sense, Light travels everywhere in the Universe. That's why we can analyse the stars where the Universe begun, that's why we know about other galaxies... Otherwise we would think we are the only galaxy in the Universe, which is not true.

And that's why I'm confused as the only real "dark space" could be beyond our Universe, not galaxy.

I guess we actually couldn't find them, but the other galaxy part still seems weird...

  • @RiksK15 ok.... THERE. ARE. NO. STARS. IN. DARK. SPACE.

We have never seen beyond our Universe. The Reapers come from intergalactic space, which is the space between galaxys. SO TO RECAP DARK SPACE = INTERGALACTIC SPACE. INTERGALACTIC SPACE IS REAL WORLD TERMS.

  • @Free28761 Duh and Duh!

Light passes trough "dark space" to reach us. Otherwise (as I said before) we wouldn't see other galaxies, and we'd think we are the only galaxy out there.

And the fact that we have never seem beyond our Universe is exactly why it would make sense for Reapers to be there! Because, we can't get there, we can't see it, and we don't even know if it exists.

PS. It'd be awesome if in ME3 super-advanced species would appear, from other galaxies that Reapers ignored! ;D

  • Comment removed

  • @RiksK15 and in response to your second question, they probably never looked because the distance is so large. You have to remember FTL is also too slow to reach another galaxy in a million years. (this is why Mass Really Tech is used to move around the galaxy) They also, have energy sources, which is why they go into hibernation to conserve it. They simply don't have the energy to do it.

  • @RiksK15 The citadel is a mass relay linked to dark space, as the species make this their capital. the reapers can rush in kill thier leaders and destroy most of thier fleet before they know whats happening. They also obtain space charts and colony locations, giving them all the knowledge they could need. Ilos was not on record as it was a secret facialty studying mass effect techonlgy, producing the conduit which allowed the scientists to shut down the reapers way into normal space. The Keepers

  • @RiksK15 the keepers are the silent guards of the citadel. they were desinged by the reapers or perhaps remade like the prothans. they activate the mass relay function by call from sovereign, signaling the next cycle. The Prothan scientists disabled the reapers programming in the keepers, making them ignore the call from sovereign. There by halting the Reapers return. sovereigns needed Saren to help him Restore The Keepers programming, indoctrinating him, and useing him as a slave.

  • @RiksK15 Shepard, however thew a monkey wrench in this plan. by stoping Saren, and killing Sovereign. The collectors are prothans remade, contreld by the reapers. They were unable to be made into a new reaper. This is how reapers reproduce and why they were abducting human colones. After Shepard stoped the Collectors from makeing more Reapers, Harbinger who is revaled to be a reaper posesing a Collector general leaves the Collectors to there fate.

  • @RiksK15 Shepard stops there return temporally in the Arrival Dlc and Destroys a Star System to do it, the end cenimatic shows Harbinger and the Reaper fleet slowly making their way to the milky way galaxy.

In Mass Effect 3 they invade Earth first, Seeing Humanity as the Greatest Theat, and so now its up to Shepard to stop the cycle and save the galaxy.... The War For Earth Has Began.

  • i saved them in me1 lets just hope theres a funny renegade option where you can let them die in me3

  • @Executioneer2126 Agreed.

  • Need to get Mass Effect 3 and let this dick live JUST so I see his ass go, "Help me Shepard!". And to see what options I can reply with.

  • Turain coucilor gets a reaper leg in the ass and ask shepard for help

Shepard: Ah yes Reapers! The immortal sentient race of starships allegedly putting their legs in your ass. I have dismissed that claim.

  • anyone notice that it said Holdiday(s) 2011 yet not only is it 2012 but holidays are almost over o.e

  • @dh599 it got delayed after the trailer came out.

    Coming out March 6th

  • I haven't played the game and already this guy seems like a Dick. Please tell me we can kill him in mass effect 3?

  • @Excolsior Not sure but...

    ***MASS EFFECT 1 SPOILERS***

You can let the council die.

    ***End spoilers***

  • i seriously wanna load a cain and shove it down this motherfucker's throat then watch him shatter then bury his remains inside a dead reaper.

  • How bout now bitch

  • ME3 preview.

500'000'000 refuges from Earth: "Earth is under attack! Wthout help, our home is doomed!"

Turian Councillor: Ahh yes Earth is under attack. We-

Shepard points a gun at the Councillor's head.

Shepard: Say 'We have dismissed that claim' again! I dare you, I double dare you motherfucker!

    ....

Councillor: We will provide any assistance required.

  • This is exactly why Harbinger believes Turians are 'Too primitive' they don't even seem willing enough to accept facts (the reapers being real and threatening the Galaxy)

  • @Mozat77 And Garrus and Saren??

I think they consider them too primitive because they are like speaking lizards, don't know for certain.

  • @TheBIOPRINCE They are too primitive because genetically, they are dextro protein based.

  • @FlayvorOfEvil Mmm, that's why, thanks for clarifing.

  • @FlayvorOfEvil dextro protein is a variation, it just happens we are all levo-amino acid based, instead of dextro.

It's like a "right handed" and "left handed" branch or proteins.

  • Harbinger - "Turian: you are considered... too primitive..."

    Turian Councilor - <:(

  • what would happen if you let the reapers out in the first mass effect and saved the council?

  • @moisesshooter9 if you choose to have the ships save the Ascension, then the council lives. That's all. Sovereign is still destroyed. If he hadn't been, then the Reapers would've finished the cycle again.

  • Thumbs up if you hate the Turian Councillor

  • I swear these guys better belive in mass effect 3.

  • @22kingdomheartsfan They probably will but they will say that it is a Human concern so they will say it's it's not their problem.

  • @ScotishChristian Oh they better not say that because for one thing humans are on the council and Anderson will not just humans die. God I got this gut feeling that Anderson is going to die in the next game.

  • Ah YES "HOLIDAY 2011" Bioware have dismissed that claim

  • after the reapers, the threath of the galaxy will be the ''airquotes''

  • @LordManda2 Reapers can never be entirely killed... "One ship, one will but many minds..." Means all the reapers share their memories (kinda like geth)

  • ME3 preview:

    Reapers are destroying everything

    Turian Councillor: Oh my god!

    Shepard: Finally...

    Turian councillor: GIANT GETH SHIPS!

    Shepard: *facepalm*

  • @bladestar17 I could see that happening.

  • @bladestar17 if we have to chose to save the council again im going to let them die -.- im sick of that turian asshole

  • @bladestar17 I seriously laughed my fucking ass off at this comment. Oh my god. xDD

  • @ClanJAX

As did I, that was EPIC.

I wouldn't put it past the Turian Councilor to give that kind of response....

.... I regret saving the Council at the end of Mass Effect more and more.

  • @bladestar17 i think you mean

    Shepard: *Facedesk*

  • @bladestar17 NOPE! Just Chuck Testa

  • @bladestar17 best comment ive seen on any video yet

  • @bladestar17 LOL'ed

  • ME1:Reapers?

    ME2:Ah yes,reapers.

    ME3:HOLY SHIT,REAPERS!

  • "Ah yes, Turians. A group of aliens who are allegedly supposed to help us stop the Reapers. We have already dismissed that claim."

  • @RampantBanana71 The vote was:

Humans who dismiss the claim: 99999999999999999999999999999999999

Humans who support the claim: 0

  • @ScotishChristian Reaper votes don't count.

  • @RampantBanana71 *Cough* Garrus *Cough*

  • @RampantBanana71

Mister Vakarian would like a word with you once he is done with his calibrations.

  • @Warrior536 "I don't hate Garrus. I hate the Turians. Garrus is just one Turian..."

  • @RampantBanana71 They're busy with calibrations.

  • @RampantBanana71 Garrus: ''What did you say sir, I was in the middle of some calibrations."

  • *MEANWHILE IN DARK SPACE*

Sovereign: Listen to me! Shepard is staring to gather an army and is going to destroy us all!

Reaper Council: Ah yes, Shepard. The badass human expectre allegedly waiting in Earth. We have dismissed that claim...

  • @kununity

Hahaha. Now that's funny and so true.

  • @kununity We already killed Sovreign ._.

  • turian = republicans

  • You think 1 or more of the council might have been indoctrinated, could explain their stance of 'no reapers to see here'

  • Comment removed

  • I really can't decide whether to see the turian councilor's disbelief of the reapers as kind-of-rational (Seeking to uphold status quo, wanting to preserve political stability or not wanting to believe the worst) or simply as an characteristic of another authority-type stereotype ( You know because these stories have to have some authority-figure, who always objects the course of action, that would make sense)

  • I can picutre this.

    *giant Reaper crashes into Citadel*

Turian councilorAh, yes, we have dismissed that claim.

    Asari and salarian counclior: STFU!

  • This is madness! This is sahib gsd uh fsgg ah yes reapers

  • Hereshow it goes. ME1 "Reapers?"

    ME2 "Ah Yes, Reapers."

    ME3 "OH SHIT REAPERS!"

  • I'm gonna laugh if there's an " I told you so" option on the dialogue-wheel when/if you meet the turian councilor in Mass Effect 3

  • @ikosabre I can just picture his reaction. "I would like to resign, now."

  • @ikosabre There better be. I want to laugh in his face.

  • Ah yes "reapers"...wait what the-

    OH SHIT REAPERS!

  • Ah yes "reapers"

  • well i guess the turian councilour will get nommed by the so called 'reapers'

  • Turian's need to meet Marcus Fenix so he can saw the lizard faced bastards in half..... Or curb stomp their heads.

  • @TheBarns95 I didn't mean that I think of turians as a 'lesser' species, just that the reapers seem to have found them lesser according to reaper motives (whatever their reasoning may be). I wouldn't say the Turians are the most powerful species. They're just the most militant. All species have different strategies. The Quarians could be superior in reaper killing given they're the experts in machinery or computer viral attack (think Independence Day) or Salarians for Scientific solutions etc.

  • @ShayLee0501 Either way it just doesn't make sense yet why the writers chose to only have the prothean relics and not other races present 50,000 years ago when this time it's clear that there are limitless species that have reached intelligence within our own galaxy (and presumably ever other galaxy). If the Reapers are in Dark Space, they would have other galaxies to choose from too, but my point is Yahgs (LOTSB) are noted as just one of the 'pre-spaceflight' intelligent races & there are so...

  • @ShayLee0501 many unexplored systems holding intelligent species which are either close to space travel or not interested in it. Then there are at least 6 species who successfully fell into the trap already & evolved using reaper tech like Council races, volus, elcor, batarian, drell, hanar etc. Surely that must have been true in Prothean times but no mention of these other races? That makes it IMPOSSIBLE to understand how Reapers deal with non target species, an unnecessary confusing oversight.

  • @ShayLee0501 It's unclear if the Protheans were militant or not, they may have conquered the rest of the galaxy, or maybe they were a super-nation of many many races, it's just the original Protheans were the ones the Reapers wanted as soldiers.

  • @ShayLee0501

There has been mention of other races; mostly in the little descriptions on planets when you're orbiting them. It's just that they've also mentioned that the Prothean empire pretty effectively dominated over all of the others.

  • @Celedruin I noticed that but ALL the races are from previous extinction cycles, some millions of years ago. Even when it's suggested that huge mass accelerator weapons were fired (presumably at reapers given they were huge enough to crater planets) it goes back hundreds of thousands to millions of years ago, nothing from the Prothean era or that explains what happens to other species that aren't chosen

  • @ShayLee0501 I forgot to say, we can't take it for granted that the other species were always wiped out by reapers. On Earth, no species lives forever. Everything has it's time, even with only nature causing it's end. The lack of those other ancient species still existing is not even close to proof that reapers wiped them out. All we know is that reapers pick one species to turn into pulp to make another reaper & possibly turn the rest into things like collectors or keepers.

  • @ShayLee0501 Or Humans, for being completely batshits insane compared to the rest of the species.

  • ME1: Reapers?

    ME2: Ah yes, 'Reapers'

    ME3: OH FUCK, REAPERS!!!

i stole this comment im sorry :(

  • Awesome

  • @TheBarns95 One problem... the reapers are primarily after humans. What if they ignore the 'lesser' species (they deemed the humans superior or why choose to make a reaper from them?). All the lore really talks about is the prothean extinction (alteration into collectors). There's no lore about other species that coexisted with the protheans, which I find weird.

  • ah yes, re-ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

  • in mass effect 3 there better be an "ah yes reapers" renegade option when the councill begs to be saved

  • @holanoobs Paragon would taunt, Renegade would just leave Palaven to the Reapers and focus on more helpful species.

  • from what i've read the turian have " evacuated Palaven "

  • DAMN that was a good vid ive ever seen on youtube

  • ME3.

Turian councilor: Shepard the we need you, the reapers are all over the place! Help us!

Renegade Shep: "Ah yes, reapers" *Cuts connection*

  • @OxYcOd0n3 - Joker: Aaaaaand we're out.

  • y do i get the feeling when the reapers come the turian will be like ahh yes reapers told you they existed shperd you racist (sheperd facepalm)

  • @GrassBurgers Only if they recently came to your neighborhood and blamed humans for a plague epidemic. ;)

  • @AnAmericanAce YEY That means I can be Speciesist against them! Damn Batarians! with your four eyes and... um... EYES!

  • @AnAmericanAce ok so im all set, right?

  • @Jecht181 All set for what?

  • @AnAmericanAce

    EXACTLY.

  • @DirtyNerd86 DAMN.

  • heck, even in mass effect 3, while the universe is being ripped apart in front of him, "Ah yes reapers, yeah, they dont exist."

  • DAM Turians GET A JOB

  • shepard must just be wonting to go up to that guys face and yell I TOLD YOU SO YOU FUCKING PRICK! i know i would

  • Who cares I got Councilor Andersson lol.

  • just the music entering at the end of the video gives me incredible chills.. gets me in the mood again.. i think i'm gonna replay me2 and kick some collector ass

  • Turian Councitor: "Ah yes, Reapers. The immortal race of sentient starships allegedly"

    Harbringer: "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL"

Turian Councitor: "We have dismissed that claim"

Harbringer: "Direct Control (unresponsive). WTF. *presses CTRL+ALT+DELETE*"

    Sovereign: "You have changed nothing

    Harbringer: "Releasing control"

Shepard: "Depends on the Species, Reap..."

    Harbringer: "ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL"

    Shepard: "What?"

    Harbringer "Aw shit. Doesn't work."

  • What kills me is that Shepard has the OSDs etc from Vigil etc, back up from the people he took with him in ME1, the Data collected about the Collectors being the Protheans, the data taken from the Collector base AND the Reaper IFF and still this fricking Turian doesn't believe a word of it. Shame the Reapers are only attacking Earth and not the damn Turian Homeworld.. The only Turian I like is Garrus, the rest of his species are full of it.

  • @Ragdollcatman001 Hey, there's no interspecies racism on this video.

  • @AnAmericanAce maybe they work together with them??:P

  • @Ragdollcatman001 Plus, Chorban could have the data from the keepers, if you did that sidequest.

  • @Ragdollcatman001 I like Garrus to....

  • @Ragdollcatman001 "You humans are all racist!"

  • @Ragdollcatman001 *SPOILER*

it appears that the Reapers will infact atack Palaven, i hope this convinces that turian that the Reapers exist!

  • Maybe, but probably not

  • @ediskrad327 I killed off the entire intergalactic council in ME 1 because i thought they where douchebags :P, now they are replaced with even more douchebags! wtf did I do wrong here? therefore i cant tell that turian to sod off :(

  • @Ragdollcatman001 Read a spoiler script (translated from Russian). They're hitting Palaven, too. >:P

  • @Ragdollcatman001

Forgot Nihlus. And I can even see some good in Saren...or at least pity for the sheer amount he must've been through upon meeting Reapers and realizing there's nothing the galaxy could do.

  • @Ragdollcatman001 Actually, in the invasion, they get his second, after the batarians and before the humans.

  • @Ragdollcatman001 YOU HUMANS ARE ALL RACIST ;_;

  • @Ragdollcatman001

You humans are all racist. Hahaha. :D

The turian councilor is an idiot but I like turians especially Garrus. I like all the species.

  • @Ragdollcatman001 you humans are all racist

  • @Ragdollcatman001 i agree with that did you know you change species what was the point of having turians

    I HATE THEM

    YOU HATE THEM

    WE ALL HATE THEM

if you saved the council it was only because it was morally right if i had it my way the ascension would have been saved but the turian councillor gets scared and goes into an escape pod and geth board it and well it should be just like sonnys death from the first godfather
