One of my teachers wanted to use this piece for her performing team last year, but they didn't like the music. I fell in love with the song though, and I was quite amused when YouTube suggested this piece out of the blue, since I haven't been searching for the song (yet) or anything.
Overall, I quite like your work here (though it's a bit heavy on the tricks - so easy to do, the piece I'm working on now is too!), and your series of a la seconde and fouette turns is quite impressive!
what that is nuts, there are like a gazillion beats you are hitting. I can see youre musicality and so what if it's a lot of tricks...small stage, short piece. awesome
i feel like she is just dancing to fill up space she isnt with the beat and what she is doing isnt really fitting the music she is a good dancer just needs a better solo
thank you for being honest lol. this was me 3 years ago and i have to admit all I cared about was fitting in as many tricks as possible. My choreography is much more musical now and I only throw in tricks when it's called for.
sure I do! don't be afraid to put it in new steps because it will give you new motivation to get them down! but at the same time don't put in things that you won't be 100% confident with by performance time. quality is better than difficulty! do YOUR best, and don't compare yourself to anyone else! good luck!
and thank you =]
ps. video taping yourself is ALWAYS good, because YOU can see what you're doing wrong that you can't see just by looking in the mirror.
omg yerr soo good! how long have you been dancing? i really felt something when you danced, you danced with passion. you had a light in yer eyes. nice job.
I agree with some of the comments already, great fouettes, and your pirouettes are amazing too. You have great balance and fluidity, kudos! I expect to see you on the great white way or something someday!
You are soooo good! You're my idol, I hope I can be as good as you some day. I really liked that fish flop too, very original. I have this dance on my ipod and I watch it like everyday :)
i like the "fish flop" too! i tried to do it and i almost have it. i really like your beginning choreography and how the veins move goes with the words.
very nice... u have wonderful technique and stamina cuz u kept the energy up the entire almost 3 mins of the song. I love ur acrobatics too...I can't even do a cartwheel so I need to get on that whole acrobatic thing huh? lol Good luck with the rest of ur dancing ;-)
You're a fantastic dancer! The only thing I would say would be to try and feel the music a little more...you have great musicality, but you need to feel what you're dancing. Of course, that impression could come just from watching it on a video instead of live... anyway, amazing job!
I like you showed the texture of the song with the levels in the choreography. One correction is I would becareful since its a long solo that you don't throw away your technique in the middle of the routine (layout- release the back at the highest point of the kick and chaines - make sure knees are pulled up and tighs turn out, don't rely on good feet and hyperextension) Overall you are beautiful to watch with a great style and you are not overbearing with the dramatics of the dance.
we call it a fish flop. as you're going over, keep your legs bent and think of keeping them up. the most important thing is to keep your back arched, and you'll roll right down.
actually i dont know what youre talking about i thought the fouettes were very climactic i thought they had great musicality... and the crowd loved em too
this is one of my favourite songs and i've always tried to picture what a great dance to it would like. well, now i know, because this dance was absolutely beautiful. too bad that some of the parts were a bit blurry, but oh well. the way you dance inspires me to take dance again, because i want to be able to dance like that. well the main point to this comment is great job!
for the most part, that was absolutely fabulous. you danced it incredibly well. the only thing i have to say is THE FUATTES! where did they come from? they didn't go with the music at all - that is the most exciting part of the song, you should be throwing yourself around doing leaps and floor stuff like you were during the second chorus, not just standing in one spot showing off. still, otherwise it was a very cool dance.
ok well thank you for the advice i'll consider that in the future. cuz im not that sort of person that can't accept constructive criticism. i sort of agree but you have to admit that like i did do it on the music...you know? i dont think they looked that bad. but thanks about everything else
Wow, you're way better than I am! XD Your pirouettes are so good! Mine are poopy pirouettes, which in comparison to yours...look like poop. How long have you been dancing anyway?

I think her moves are fitting the music in general. Thrust me, in contemporary some professional choreographers can do worst. I like the moves ! :)
