depends if you have the full version. the free version cant do encoding, it can only read videos.

worst music i've heard in a rly long time. too bad my gpu sucks, or i would use hypercam and put it at 8x AA. right now its stuck on 0x AA. hope it works when i get a new gpu. CHANGE THE MUSIC

@ArcticsurfCA are you viewing the video with Media Player Classic? its included in the Codec Pack.

in media player classic, try going to view > options > output > and select "VMR-9 (windowed)"

afterwards, close the player, and open the video again.

Ok I've found something out.

Anti Anailising on 0 I get that flicker thing you showed

On X2, X4, X6, X8 I get a black screen as my recording.

Help?

thats really strange, your settings in game shouldnt be causing the black screen...

before opening the video, do you see anything in the thumbnail preview, or is that also black?

also, try playing the video in fullscreen (alt+enter), see if that helps.

Thumbnail is black too.

Anti analising on 0 I can see but it flickers, not on 0 I just see black screen. Maybe it can't record AA? I tried versions 3 and 2 of hypercam. With version 2 basically hypercam crashed as soon as I started to record.

Maybe you could Teamview me?

and i think you said you installed media player classic 'regular'. maybe using the 'home cinema' version might help (although unlikely)...

@speedieez dont use either of them. all you have to do is: start x: 0 start y: 0 width: x resolution height: y resolution for example, if you play at 1280x720, this will be your settings: start x: 0 start y: 0 width: 1280 height: 720

aha! i knew i forgot to mention something :P

DONT use "select window".

all you have to do is set:

-"start x" and "start y" to 0

-"width" and "height" to whichever resolution you play at. you can find the resolution in your settings in-game.

i play at 1280x720, so i set my "width" to 1280, and my "height" to 720. you can see this at (1:55) in the video.

i shall add this in the video description.

Alright, I think it had to do with the anti-aliasing I had on, 'cause once I turned it back to 0, it was back to normal. The Hypercam lag is quite less than Fraps, and now I'm seeing gameplay footage. However, everything's in fast motion, like it's been sped up 4x in Windows Movie Maker. Ha.

thats strange. for me, xvid speeds up my vids when recording realtime, but divx doesnt. i dunno, if your computer cant take 8x antialiasing for CA, i cant say its really capable of any recording software without a hideous amount of performance loss D=

Whoa, nevermind actually. I don't think it's a problem with Hypercam. Combat Arms is just acting ridiculously laggy even without it (like 4 FPS). It didn't run well before (usually between 20-30) but this is just ridiculous. Really weird.

I don't know what the deal is, but this doesn't work for me at all, really.

The game menu is fine and everything, minus the cursor's flicking, but when i start a game the lag is hideously enormous. Like 2 fps, literally. and when i try to watch the recorded video, any in-game stuff is just black on the playback.

....weird.

whats the specs of your computer?

as for the black playback, is the origin(x,y) on hypercam set to (0,0)?

as long as youve got k-lite, the black screen shouldnt be a codec problem.

@redhades777 I won't even bother with the specs; I have 3 gigs of RAM, but a terrible graphics card. My computer might just be incapable of running it.

And yeah the x,y was set at 0,0

I might fiddle around more with it later.
