Hi man, I really want to learn this song but I can't learn it by ear. Do you have a tab for this? I've tried searching but only found the rhythm part.
I have Ibanez grg170dx -> not the best guitar but still good.....my jewel blue axe looks similar to build of your guitar but if i put whammy bar then it will set guitar out of tune,
i know EXACTLY what your talkin about. after listning to Andi Kravljacas videos over and over agian, and worshiped him, its hard to listen to regular old Timmo Tolki
Man.. im 16 now and have been playing guitar for 7 years and still suck.. You are just awesome.. Ive watched all vids at least 10 times.. i wish i could play as well as you!!!!!!
Ha! Flawless it ISN'T. But I did develop it by taking it SLOOOOOOW. Metronome practice, slowly working up speed, never letting tension turn Your hand into "the claw". And also, trying to speed pick in time - as in 8ths, 12ths, 16ths and so on, not just full speed ahead. Sounds faster that way because it fits the BPM of the song.
which pickup do u mainly use for your soloing? i saw many people soloing with there neck pups, but for me it doesnt sound that smooth - so which are u using? =)
I mostly do use my neck pickup, which is a Seymour Duncan HR-101b "Scorcher" - it's most similar to a SHR-1b Hot Rails for bridge, and has slightly souped up output. Lovely muddy low down tone. Speed picking, in my universe, should sound like two fat people mudwrestling in a well... Occasionally I will use the bridge pickup for longer notes, because it's easier to induce harmonics and make the overtones go crazy...
Man. You have an excellent wide vibrato. I have noticed, however, that you rarely go for faster, narrower vibrato. Is this merely tonal preference? understandable-your wide vibrato is quite incredible, but a little variety never hurts.
Thanks so much for Your compliment! VIbrato is such a huge part of identifying a player based on sound alone, and it's important to spend a lot of time developing Your own. Personally, I've always really had a dislike for fast vibrato (Kirk Hammet ruined it for me with some really bad vibrato on Binge And Purge), and instead wanted to get a cello-like tone in my vibrato, so forceful, deep vibrato, but musically slow instead of stressed. It's just a personal preference...
I switched out all of my pickups - the bridge pickup is now a Parallel Axis Distortion Trembucker, and a Hot Rails in the middle, and an HR-101b in the neck position. Had to have that "rails" tone instead of the stock single coil...
That's a VERY good question - this is probably the biggest critique people have of other guitarists, and beginners in particular. You have to understand that a string won't sound by itself - You have to put it into action. So very precise left hand control, along with a right hand that rarely leaves the muting position of the inactive strings, along with lower gain on the amp will, in time and with practice, get You there.
I really love your tone, so clear. Absolutely amazing playing, if there is one thing that could be improved I would say its your tapping, but even that was pretty damn great.
I can't even count how much times I've watched this video. I like how you did the solo better than in the actual song, this sounds much cleaner, and the ending is sick which you added in.
exelente...sin duda eres un maestro en guitarra te manejas con esos punteos como si fuera tan facil q pareciera q cualquiera lo pudiera hacer...encerio sigue asi comadre eres exelente con la guitarra muy bueno tu video sigue asi =)
Hi! Sorry, no tabs... I figured this out by ear, and just play it as close to the original as I can, while still mking it my own. So I couldn't tell You where to get a tab for this. Sorry!
I notice that your middle and neck pickups seem to be SD hotrails. I know the DK2 does not come stock with these, did you mod this guitar? I ask because I plan on buying it very soon but was also skeptical of the single coils.
Also, your tremolo is chrome? Is this an older model dk2? I think that the solid black is all that comes in chrome nowadays. Rest are black steel. Either that or you dropped an OFR in it. :-)
yeah, I modded in Hot Rails as soon as I got it, because I love playing with the neck setting and I wanted something nice and meaty there. Good Neck tone = two fat people mudwrestling in a well :)
And the model's a 2002, they came with chrome hardware. I never did change the tremolo.
Hey, I'm thinking about getting a similar guitar (the dk2 series). But I am a bit worried of how good the floyd rose is. Does it get out of tune a lot?
Good choice. I've never had any problems with the Floyd Rose. I say go ahead, and if it gives You grief, just replace it with an OFR. If not, You're good to go.
