I watched this movie ALONE in the middle of the night...Needless to say, I didn't want to close my eyes!! It was brilliant! The ending was ingenious!! Very few "newer" horror films have been able to frighten me, but this one did!!

The ending sucks, & almost ruins the whole movie. Otherwise, being the horror buff that I am, I loved it. I recommend 'Audition' to anyone who hasn't seen it. It's a foreign horror film with English subtitles, but none the less worth checking out if you haven't already.

I thought it was pointlessly cruel and until the ending thought it was just sexist trash. Inside and Martyrs were more powerful. I just watched it yesterday so maybe I need more time to think about it but I really didn't like the ending...the one thing it got perfect was the tension tho coz I was sweating BUCKETS!

Confusing in the end, but its cruel and pretty full of violence .. but Frontieres and Martys, as well as Inside are way scarier and show much more violence.

6,5 out of 10 (maybe cause my GF distracted me all the time -.-) .. anyway dont miss it :)

@queue316 The very beginning of the movie is her in a hospital and she is being checked out by some doctors. The doctor asks if he can start recording and then she starts telling her "story". The entire movie with scenes involving the killer is Marie's coverup story making her the hero. The authorities know that she did it, but from a psychological standpoint wanted to get a sense of her madness.

The story makes perfect sense in that context. The killer is a lie.

@queue316 That's my point that the movie had so many plotholes because we are being lied too by the main character. Thus the plotholes....it's not like everything in the movie happened, just that it was only her. She didn't hide from herself in a bathroom, she didn't fight herself in a strange greenhouse in the woods...The further along her story got the more outrageous she was making it.

I liked it quite a bit and was surprised by the movie, i watched it not knowing a thing about it when it was released on DVD. So i went in not expecting much. Plus some of the elements of this movie has become cliche by this point that it loses some of it's sting or edge to todays audiences. Kinda like Memento just doesn't have the shocker of an ending 12 years after the fact now that every movie seems to have a twist ending nowadays LOL

very real and very scary film, the camera shots and sounds only added to the suspense and realism, but that damn twist annoyed me, your first thought is "ahh very clever" then you start to pick the story apart, like where the truck comes from, why she stopped for gas in the first place, why so much attention was put on her hiding from the guy in the house when he obviously wasn't going to spot her, for a film that felt so real, the ending really let the whole feature down, worth a watch though
