You try being deployed for 8-10 months straight and not going a little stir crazy..

These guys arent robots. They are simply trying to have some fun with their VERY repetitive jobs.

99.5% of the time they do their job to the letter. They might get a talking to after, but everyone is still doing their job, and if anything isnt right the fun stops. Its not easy being deployed give 'em a break, jeez.

Firstly, the aircraft featured in the video are the F-16, F-18, and the Tornado IDS. This is a European base, most likely a base in Germany or the UK. Secondly, the guys waving flashing at aircraft are NOT air traffic controllers. They are crew chiefs performing marshalling duties to guide them out of parking. ATC operates out of a tower facility and its a bit more complex than waving flash lights and signaling a plane to turn right.

no def not air traffic control joe is right they never leave the tower but it is a crew cheif tho doesnt have to be RAF cause im stationed at a RAF base but my buddies that are crew cheifs do it all the time they just have to tell the pilot they are going to freestyle and the officer has to be down with it for it happen otherwise its all serious and routine but its good stuff keep'em comin
