  • so this is like the UK version of Dog Brothers ?

    looks really tempting :D

  • OMGGGGGGG 1:51 was awesome XD

  • thats usually due to the fact that as soon as it gets that close and some one is punching you in the face only thing your thinking is "hit the sod back". it is the same with disarms in that 2 sec it takes to disarm, a good fighter can punch you a couple of times. no one has arrived at the call2arms yet who can make "locking" an effective technique. Can't wait to see the day someone can make it work.!

  • the video are great but one thing i observed...they didn't use the locking technique using their stick ...all they do is strike and strike

  • kris one of the co organisers runs classes in Dartford Kent. I am based in East London. I do not run classes but train at KO gym in Betnhal Green.

next event is second Sunday in March in Luton.

  • Great stuff! Where in U.K. are you training?

  • Good stuff gents! Keep up the good work!

  • Maximum respect.

I'm keen to hook up with you guys in the near future.

I have no stick fighting experience, but enjoy a bit of judo and am falling in love with Pekiti Tersia Kali(although only through the 'net unfortunately!).

    Whattayathink?

  • thanks for the feed back.

both i and the other co-founder have fought at the dog bros gathering in L.A.

Kris was britians first ever "dog"

  • That was awesome. Just awesome. It's great to see more of this sort of stick-fighting.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever heard of the Dog Brothers? They seem to do the same sort of stick-fighting you do.

  • Mike, Kris runs the fitness club i go to, good video

  • I can DIG IT!!!

  • Awesome - pretty cool -respect!!!!

  • Great vid with great fighters. Thanx 4 that

  • I've seen a lot and this is great stuff because of hard fighting and mad respect.

  • Thanks for the positive feed back.

Alsbury all are welcome all we ask is that you respect the spirit of the day and its fighters. next event details are on the web site www.call2arms.tv

redelvis1469 i would have loved to have made it to the stick and stein but i had to find a medical centre as my first prority ;o). the eye cleared up about 2 weeks later thankfully.

  • Good stuff. I never competed in stick fighting events with all the padded armor because of the bad habits the armor encourages. I've also got a bit of boxing/thai boxing experience, maybe I can round up some buddies and give this type competition a go.

  • this is US shit

if you really wana have fights with minimum ruels

go to Irak Afghnistan or lebanon

  • Looks awesome Mike and it was a pleasure meeting you at the Gathering in June. Great fights btw. Next time you and Kris need to find your way to the Stick and Stein for food and beer afterwards!

  • I really like what I saw. Very impressive. I need to learn stick fighting. I'm a BJJ practisioner but that was cool.

  • This is one of the best up and coming events i have been to in england, I WANT TO SEE MORE!!!!!!!!!

  • Deyr both awesoooome!! holy crap now dats kali my friends.. good job

  • Awesome!!

  • it is not a euro version of the dog bros, but a british version of stick based mma. I'm not getting shitty about the comparison as there are many simularities. Kris who co-runs the event is a "dog" and goes to fight out in LA once a year, and i am going to my first one this year and we know they are amoung some of the best in the world at this sort of thing. The dog bros are a seperate entity with a different mentality as to why they do their thing and good luck to them.

  • european version of dog brothers ? Unforseen damages included - how ever- impressive impact !

  • we felt the skill level was eroding in the stick fighting art due to all the armoured compertitions which allow you to leave your self unprotected. This way you must show blocking and offensive ability. This is why a lot of armoured stick fighting champions in Britian are fighting in this event to prove their pedigree as fighters.

  • stick fighting? ouch. Why?
