That guy probably has iPod touch 1st generation and they dont have a speaker but your friend probably has second generation that does have a speaker.They look exactly the same too.

the touch screen is mainly for the apps and the games.but dont u agree its awesome anyway,u just tap the actual screen and it clicks.
