  • In short, this is kind of silly. I just decided to leave the church, and by doing so, I've found greater peace and comfort in my journey.

  • The man that said he knows of cases where two gay men are living together and the ones that got married in Canada, and he seemed to imply the Church is ok with both cases, there is no way the Church would be ok with either.

  • It seems to me, that if LDS can figure out middle sexed people, then they will have figured out everyones integration to the church. I applaud that an open dialogue is happening, but I'd still have to urge them to first understand middle sexed people.

  • My compliments for this very interesting conference that has given me a different perspective on the Church. Thanks!

  • wow

  • Thank you for posting this video! I will admit I am a 24 year old current college student at BYU who struggles with same-gender attraction. I'm glad there are those who are uplifting, encouraging, and even understanding. We need more people to be like this; after all it is hard enough for us to come to terms and struggle with this attraction ourselves. I definitely recomend the book "In Quiet Desperation" published by Deseret Book Co. for anyone else LDS as another resource.

  • why struggle i can understand it might be difficult to come out but isn't it better to be yourself :)

  • Or, you could simply admit that you're gay, discover that it is not an "abomination", join the fight for gay rights, Figure out that God (I'm assuming you believe in him) wouldn't have made you gay, then send you to hell for something HE was in control of. In short, Make the RIGHT choice. Be true to yourself. If god loves all his children, he will not send you to eternal torment for existing exactly as he created you. Do not succumb to the guilt that some would place upon you. Choose the Right.

  • God does not make anyone homosexual. Sexual preference is all it is and thats a choice of the person who decides hmmm do I want to live with a man or a woman? As a man I chose women. Women have the same choices. To find happiness in their own skin is just trying to tell God that we can do whatever we want. God gave us guidelines to live by to help us with true happiness. To live the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Live the Law of Chastity, Live the 10 commandments are to name a few.

  • Indeed? A choice. How typical of you misguided souls. The bible says nothing about homosexuality. The sin of Sodom was not homosexuality as many preach, but lack of hospitality for weary travelers.

  • The Bible states that homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. Please read Leviticus Chapter 18 v.22 or better yet this is the verse: 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Look up in your topical guide TG Homosexuality: Jude 1 v 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

  • NO WHERE in the 10 commandments does it say, "thou shalt not be gay".
