If people are wondering, the reason why the guy is at church dropping a crucifix is because in our world, Christianity is one of the most major religions. In Final Fantasy X, Yeven in the major religion. Just like the guy in the add, the main group of FFX give up on their faith, thus the dropping of the crucifix.

Its quite hard to find people that look the same. Even harder is there to recreate a whole fictional world.

And such insane amount of special effects had to be put in.

It would take to much time and money. But i would love to see it, but the story would need alot of rewriting for a movie tho. As the game lasts for about 40 hours or more if you complete it 100%

And only doing the cutscenes wouldnt explain everything in a movie. Advent children was another story based on the game.

@Ole1k Avatar was made and it was all effects costing millions. And it tooks years to make. So it is possible and yes it would be expensive. But like I said. If you got the right people you could make a good movie that would bring in the money.

Hah, obviously you wouldn't put the whole game in the movie. That'd be insane. It's a movie not a game. There's already a game so why try to make a movie a photo copy of it? Besides I never said make the story of the game into a movie. Make it like AC

@mizkex It's not really about Catholicism. It is about the religion, in general, that people follow and how it could, or has, deceived people by the power it brings. "Yevon" is the Church and the beads breaking is the broken trust from Yuna and her summoners.
