1999 up T CATS are all over forsale, grab one and you can do what this video shows. My 1000 T ran 125 easy when it was box stock in all kinds of snow all over th u.p. in michigan. My buddies with 7 and 800 doo's and other sleds all say it feels like its got a turbo on it . My stock zrt 600 runs 110-115 all day. Cool vid
I will say either the dream-o-meter is rigged, he had some major track spin, or it's not stock. Every sled starts to pull for that last couple mph, this one flew through it like it was nothing.
I just took one for a ride last night with aftermarket intake and exhaust and it scared the $#!T out of me. its hard to steer when the skis arent touching the ground!
i dont want to smash ur party but i can promise you u was spinning like crazy there is now way when u smashed on it at 50 it ends up at 120 5 sec later sorry
@frambo1231 If the track were spinning, when he backed off the throttle the speedometer would drop like a rock, as opposed to gradually slowing down like it does.
no if you can really drive you wont hit anything, the only people who hit things should be riding a 600 not a 1000 lol i had my '98 1000 for a few years and the only thing ive ever hit was drifts lol i also got a '95 zrt with the 1050 bigbore kit and it takes my 1000 now..my 1000 has 175hp but my zrt now has 210hp,,i will post a video in the next week or so..my friend has a 2000 tcat and he just got a new m1000 and he wants to sell it,,the tcat blows it away lol
i got a video of mine here, its got a 156in track on it for the mtns, but other than k&n pods, its 100% stock and 175hp not enough snow but you can see when i hit it,it goes.
hi the smaller sleds can take a corner faster most of the time depending on the track it has on it but for raw speed and power, the 1000 thundercat really pulls.i got the '98 1000 thundercat, the fastest of all and it still holds the 1000ft record for a stock sled.the zrt is still the exact same sled, only bigger motor and different gearing, shocks etc in the thundercat, all parts can be swapped but in the end,2 same year sleds, tracks the same,,the thundercat will win depending on the driver.
It seriously is so funny that EVERYONE keeps sayin my sled isn't stock, because it is 100% stock, This is something I wouldn't lie about... this sled has 175 HP stock.. yes its fast, YES ITS STOCK!
@shotimeno I think alot of eople just don't believe the power of the 1000. What year is it cause i own a 2000 thundercat and yes for everybody out there these things will bury the needle. You should get the black magic 130mph speedo thats what i have on mine. If you want alittle more acceleration go with a ignition key upgrade and v force reeds.
@MrZr440 Currently...I agree. Fastest ever. Nope. Both the late-90's Thundercats and '05-'07 Mach Z's were both quicker than a STOCK Z1 Turbo. That is a fact!!!
Nice! I can also put the needle down south on my 03 ZR 900. I've ridden the Thundercats and there nice but my ZR 900 handles much better through the twisties and goes much further on a tank of fuel.
Well if it was a 1000 feet or so i would take you. You would need quite a stretch to over take me if at all, but the Thunder cat should be a couple more MPH's faster top end.
I did notice your on a road too. It is a lot easier for speed that way. If you do that on snow you would probably be just over 100 MPH or so.
@CosmikDebrisFZ in 1000ft im sorry to say unless you have alot done to yours,,no stock twin will hang with the arctic cat 800 and up tripple....twins work good but untill i got my own thundercat 1000 and now a zrt 800 with the 1050 bigbore that takes my 1000,i had no idea just how much pull the big tripples have till i got my own they pull fast and hard right from idle to max rpm....
@CosmikDebrisFZ Not when you consider sticky melting hyfax and carbide drag on ashpalt, that thing would do even better if that road had about 2-3 inches of snow on it.
Ah don't listen to this guy, the fact is that the Thundercat is faster, I own a Mach Z, and a Thundercat, have had lightweight twins 800cc and 1000cc, the fact of the matter is that a triple is always going to be faster than a twin on top end, Not to mention that ZR 900 is a pig on gas and oil, My friend had one and bought an m1000 and thats way better than that pig. As for the handling it might be a little easier, but just stop being a pussy and ride.
@vipertvutelcom Yep, just as I said before, they dont handle as well but top end is faster. Never owned one but have driven a couple. The ones I drove even used more fuel than mine as it should being a 1000 triple. My previous ZRT was harder on fuel than my ZR 900. For big tripples I always liked the Mach Z's better. They seemed to handle a bit better than the thundercats in my opinion, but I guess it's all on how you have them set up.
@vipertvutelcom My dad has a 2008 F1000 and although it really is way nicer of a sled to ride, on the lake, when i decide to leave him behind, I do. Everytime.
Sick of these guys buying these little twins and saying oh I could maybe take a corner faster, or your sled is heavy. Dont get me wrong I like my 1000 twin but, wah wah wah, put up or shut up. I would run that 2000 thundercat of mine against that zr900 anyday.
Max rev on stock is around 8800, but mine will rev to 9200 beacuse it has igniton timing uprgrade and breather, reeds. It sucks i can't find a place long enough to just open her up.

@MrKenneth1985 Cats still run Suzuki motors. No sled company is all American anymore so I pick the fastest one(;
the934x4 3 weeks ago
@fingerleeshands if I'm not mistaken the older cats ran Suzuki engines, I wouldn't say 100% american.
