  • the people in that area where not asiatic looking

remember that the MONGOLS killed EVERYONE when they passed through that area, the people of all those places where Iranian peoples

    pretty amazing

  • those damn mongolians ruined everything, destroying culture and flourishing covilizations, leaving behind their retarded offspring (hazara)

  • @cvalar34568 *civilizations

  • @cvalar34568, you should better study before you write something. Its very evident that you have not properly understood the meaning words like 'everything' and 'retarded', and how to use it . Generalisation, here indicates nothing but your lack of knowledge of social sciences. It apparent that you have not read a book or two about Afghanistan for other wise you would have been very careful while making such a brave statement.

  • @cvalar34568 Go and study, for its never too late to learn.

  • Thanks a lot for this series of videos alexandros1821. I can't stop watching these videos..

  • The people are speaking an uzbaki language, is there a lot of Uzbaks in Afghanistan?

  • @walkertexasranger33 well you think the US is forced to be in Afghanistan? That's funny because we were never conquered and now the US figured out our trillion dollar resources. If there's something in it for the US, they will invade and take take take. You think afghans initiated the war? No no it's little naive fucks like you who think that when really your own government lies to your face. You're sad.

  • @DarkHour404 why do we learn about history and what nukes have caused in the past? You want a nuclear war to start jackass? You're still forgetting we live in one world. If afghanistan gets nuked, there's no telling what chaos it will cause the rest of the world. Hope that helped your incompetent brain. :)

  • where is Bactria in this modern day?

  • @evaberlin in the modern afghanistan.

  • @corderitodedios69 ah.. i see..

  • @evaberlin but "afghanistan" is a fake country. im from herat, and i dont accept afghanistan.

  • @corderitodedios69 what do you mean fake country? can you explain more?

  • @evaberlin very easy: "afghanistan" mean "the land of pashtons". pashton is the largest ethnic group of afghanistan. but, 65% "afghans" arent pashtoons. the are the traditional rulers of afghanistan. since 1747 (when afghanistan was created), all the rulers have been pashtuns. only one (bacha saqao) was a tajik/persian king, and the pigtoons defeated him. we are second citizen in our own land! thats the reason why i reject the fake land called "afghanistan". ;)

  • @corderitodedios69 ah.. i see :) too bad not many people know about it. we simply know it as afghanistan, without knowing its history..

  • @evaberlin yes, is unfair. but today mostly of "afghan"-persian considerer themselves as "afghans". irrational mind, xD

  • Afghans chose to fight on Youtube instead ! Doing a good job.

  • what was that animal they were beating around at the start

  • Gorgeous countryside.

  • is this the whole documentary?

  • @himatwardakafghan you do realize how far alexander traveled by foot mostly from greece to india.. and his army continously running out of resources and logistics.. afghanistan didnt stop him.. he went on to india even, it was time that stopped him.

  • my uzbeks

  • He is speaking out original Turkish, what a great nation Turks. The fact that,no one ever defeated ,even Alexander...

  • @turnmeonn

look at the video again, alexander smashed them at the end

  • The Mongol invasion of Khorasan left long-term effects. The region suffered heavily from its consequences. The flourishing towns described by the early geographers were destroyed and the region devastated. There followed a drastic demographic decline, while agricultural and other economic activities were profoundly disrupted.

  • Following the Mongol invasion of Bactria and other parts of Central Asia, most of Iranian people, Bactrians, Sogdians, Margians, Arians, Parthians and Paropamisadae were massacred by the barbaric blood-thirsty Mongol army in 12th century. The Mongols attacked the Chorasmian Empire in 1221 (the rulling dynasty), conquering Transoxiana and then sweeping across Khorasan (the name of Afghanistan in Medieval times until the late 19th century).

  • These people in the film are Turkic people, and they didn't exist at the time of Alexander the Great. Turkic tribes, with Asiatic (Mongoloid) admixture, came to the region between 9th to 11th century from regions around Mongolia. The original inhabitants of Bactria were Iranian tribes, who called themselves "Aryans". Those ancient Bactrians were the ancestors of today's Tajik people in Central Asia. Tajiks, together with Pashtuns and Nuristanis are the only Iranian (Aryan) people in the region.

  • He couldnt beat you cos you live in a dump that noone wants to go to other than mad generals

  • What were the mongols dragging around?

  • @xSilverPhinx a calf

  • Just a shame the Mongols didn't wipe out all of these useless cunts.

  • /watch?v=Q36tSlVBlvU

National Geographic maps of the Balkans states 1915 - 2006.

FYROM: HOW A LIE BECOME TRUE

  • what a totaly historicaly incompetent documentary!. during Alexander's campaign the populaitions of Bactria, Margiana and Sogdiana were iranians: Sogdians, Bactrians, Margians were all eastern Iranians...

turks started to show up in central asia starting from 600 AD, almost 1000 years after Alexander. Mongols arrived only in 13th century!

  • Exactly! That's what I said, but the stupid Ankara turks don't like the truth so I got lots of downrating on my comments lol...

  • that's because those groups of people you listed don't exist in central asia no more. they were either wiped out completely or were driven further west as is the case with the tribe of the Alans who comprise the people of modern day Ossetia

  • lol wut, some angry stupid turks I bet.

  • why is this spammed, it's kind of interesting

  • Lol u give me 2 minus for stating historical facts? Mongols came over 1000 years AFTER Alexander the Great to Bactria. Giving me minus doesn't change that fact, idiots!

  • How could he look over the river at the nomad armes if he had lost his sight from injuries?

  • yeah just the question i was about to post. i guess he was only temporarily blindet or he sight was only diminished

  • listen again. In the description of Alexander's physical condition there is no mention of blindness. He can't stand in the ranks, or ride and is hardly able to speak because of a previous throat injury, but not blind.

  • alexander lost both "sight and speech"

    minute 1:40

  • Hahahhaa.

Someone else probably did it for him.

  • what about the pashtuns also remind us people

monga hum pakay ddar ghad u

  • These are hazara from mongolia

  • wussup with these hazara horse man... these arent orignal bactrians

  • What were the villagers playing with?.....was that a calf??...

  • it was a goat

  • Despite the fact we have no connection with turkic Farsi speakers of Central Asia. We Farsiwans would rather fell closer to Irani looking rather then those Turkic Persians of Central Asia.

  • Bro, I don't know what your sources are but I must disagree with you. I got to finish some work. I recommend you get a Facebook and join the groups I told you where you can talk to many people informed about issues like this, you've limited yourself to very unreliable bias unscholarly unwestern sources. Salam.

  • Brother-e-Herati I cannot disagree, It seems to me are well educated, and very informitive. I apologize for I was mean in Sena's video discussion. I have read your comments and what you said here. Now I know exactly what you meant. Take care and thanks for explanation, don't worry about these Shias, Ghalies and all of these sick minded people. Just let them eat their own crap.

  • @AkAHerati All jew came out from Iran to Central Asia. Because the jew land was created in Elam which is was in Old Persia(Iran). Thats why most Iranian has a big nose like a jew.

  • @AkAHerati If you have been seen that there is lot of persian speaking with green/blue eyes and light skin in Iran, so they're not Iranians, They're a Tajik people. And just remember that the Mongolians destroyed not only Soghdians, Parthians, Khoresmians, they also destroyed Bactria.

  • @camomilleable11

That's right 25% of Afghanistan's population has been distroyed by Mongolians and they targetted 3 main cities and they were city of Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat city, and city of Feroz Koh, modern Bamiyan (Shari Golghola) and if you are not aware Mongolian succeed in distroying 25% of over all of northern Afghanistan and locally some 50% of Nothern Afghanistan was killed. Do the math today 50% of northern Afghanistan are not Afghan by race/origin.

  • In terms of demographics by mother tongue

East and Southern Afghanistanis 80% Pashtu speakers, and 20% includes Pashia/Dari speakers, Central Afghanistan is 80% Dari speakers, 10% Turkic and 10% Pashtu, Northern Afghanistan is 25% Pashtu speakers, 40% Dari speakers and 35% Turkic speakers, Western Afghanistan is 60% Pashtu speakers, 30% Dari speakers and 10% Others such as Balochi, Turkmani, and Uzbeki

  • @camomilleable11 Northern Afghanistan is only 50% Afghan, Central Afghanistan is 25% Afghan, and Western, Southern and Eastern combined is 80% Afghan.

  • "Tajiks is just the word for Aryans in Central Asia"

Nope Tajik is just a Word for Persian speaking people of Central Asia. It was first noted by the Russians ie from Uzbeks, who themselves considered their non-Turkic speaking brothers as "Tadzek" and it was over-exaggerated and applied to greater diverse population of Central Asia, and soon in mid 1950s fall over into Afghanistan, refer to us as Tajiks.

  • Lol no, Khwarizmi is from Khiva, which was a Persian city before the Turks took it over and Biruni was a Persian/Tajik from Bokhara.

  • I tell you this Al Birani considered himself An Arab, I hope we are talking about the same person who was walking and recording in the same steps of Mahmud of Ghazni, where he died, he himself maybe born in China or Japan it doesn't matter just because he was born in a city which later came a Shia pro-Irani empire called Khawarism Empire doesn't make him Persian/Iranian or Tajik. Al-Biruni Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Abdul Rayhan Al-Biruni was an Arab as he said. So don't create another Al-Afghani case

  • According to John Ahmorgins's calculated Data only 15% of Balkh survived the destruction of Mongols, and altogether according to another historian whose name i don't right know, said "20% of Iran and 25% of Afghanistan were replaced by Mongols which today are those of Turks/Uzbeks/Hazaras and Tajiks"

  • Bro please dar Facebook kardim harf bizan. Tajik'ha Mogholi nistan.

  • Azizam ma he hera khob medanam ke Afghan ki ast va Tajik kest. yes I will say it again. shoma yek bar dar ketab-eh Tariki dast bezanen, va research bekonen ba harf-e "Mughalistan" LOL yep it refers to areas exactly to modern "Tajikistan"

    +

  • Baradar salha salha tarikh khandam, man hala dar danishgahe Toronto mirawam. I know what I'm talking about. Sogdiana wa Chorasmia is part of ancient Iran Zamin before the Turks came. Dobare migam, please dar Facebook kardim debato naweshte kon.

  • BTW the Northeastern Iranian people maybe modern Mazandarians, Khorasanis and maybe Parthians, but i don't there would be any pure Iranian other then Parthians/Medes. Bactrians are people of Aryana, and their land was no-where Near Iran, but actually tribally and racially related to Afghans. And as Saadi said in his poetry "The blood shed of Gangis and flow of Red Rivers of human flash in Isfahan and Baghdad are nothing but only few drops of blood from full class of Blood of Balkh and Bamiyan"

  • Mazandaran are Northwestern Iranic people* lol. Bro I recommend you check the Facebook links I gave you, asantar ast age anja in topic sohbat konim.

  • @grecobactrian GIve me those links about Tajiks or you we can speak on facebook.

  • BTW did you know the lingustic connection of Pamirs are related to Awestics which is why some people things its Pashtu. but Pamirs have this Mixtures of Dari and PAkhtu core words which doesn't fit into dictionary of Farsi language. Yep and perhaps like Pashtu speakers this maybe the reason why they look more Afghan then those Tajiks whom the Russians to be same yet they are not.

  • Dari is Farsi my friend, and Pamiris are Tajiks but did not mix with Turks because they are remote. Look at Shabnam Soraya a non-Pamiri Tajik, she looks very Iranic. Pamiris didn't adopt words from Pashto, it's like saying Spanish adopted from Italian. The similarities exist because we are all Iranic.

  • Excuse me Shabnam Soraya's mother was a prostitute in Tashkent first working as a bartender and please her father was from Georgia. And she didn't knew her until age 12. Look at her interview. Just search and believe me I don't care how European she may look besides Russians and Ukrianains makefup some 12% of Tajikistan and many Tajiks are mixed. Go to remote areas of Tajikistan and you will find them Chink or Althaic looking.

LOL Shabnam Soraya LOL Find out about her Mother Miss Soraya.

  • Bro, in information az koja girifti? Age yek chizi migi, sourcet post kon dige. Khalas shodam baradar jan, hanuz kheyli ziad ast ke bayad bekhani! Yek chizi dige migam...bero bekhan az dehate Yaghnob dar Tajikistan. Khoda Hafiz.

  • BTW can you just leave off these Iranian made up words such as "Iranic" its no annoying and idiotic. Sorry no offense to you or your intelligence i understand you trying to say "Aryanics" ie linguistically related people of Afghanistan/Iran. But please in the educated level it should not be used its as same as me using the word "Afghanic". Iran=Iran not Afghan. Although I could use the word Afghanic which i thing is more appropriate due to Aryans coming from AFG and so historical backups.

  • Theres nothing wrong with Iranic, the term Iranic means Aryan. No my links aren't from Wiki lool, and Iranica is a credible source...it's owned by Columbia University.

  • Farsiwans are by Race or by Origin are of Afghan.

Yes I somw-what Agree that native people of Sogdians may have been closer to Persians, because it was the persians who mentioned these empty lands of rice resources and it was them who buildup the cities for example ancient Bukhara was made by one of the Persian prince, who lived amongst Turnaians and his mother was descendant of Afrasiab the daughter of Turanian king. You should also remember Land north of Oxus river was identified as Turan

  • ask this stupid uzbek where was he or his ancesters at the time of alexander?

  • LOL, they were still in Mongolia. All those Asiatic men on the video are Turks, not Tajiks (the true Bactrians).

  • You must have lost your mind Tajziks are mixed Arabs/Turkic. Tajiks live in Turkistan and they racially speaking are Turks. I no mean to be racist, Turks are great people, and a great race of horse riders, but you people have been brainwashed by Russians back Irani propaganda of separating Turkistan. Russians were a bit late in learning the idea of British in 18th century "Divide and Rule" but never the less it worked. Look at Tajik faces they are all Altaics, but only Aryanic in Language.

  • Tajiks aren't mixed Arabs, but yes the Tajiks of Tajikistan have mixed with Turks but in remote areas many of them look Caucasian like in the Pamirs. You are also ignoring the fact that the Persians of Afghanistan are called Tajiks, and constitute 37% of the population. Second largest after Pashtuns. The Tajiks of Afghanistan are purer Aryans then the Tajiks of Tajikistan. Tajiks are of Bactrian, Sogdian, Persian, Parthian origin.

  • Tajiks in Afghanistan are immigrants. Ask any Afghan farsiwan if they are "Tajiks" they might get offended. Including ME. Who do you thing there is so much confusion over defining Dari speakers of Afghanistan? Because by Race they are Afghan. they look Afghan, they have similar laws to those whom still speak Awestic languages. and they consider themselves Afghan.

  • Dude how can you say that. All the Dari speakers I meet say they're Tajiks, you're the exception lol. Again, don't you know the Afghan=Pashtun? It's the Pashtuns who have called us Tajiks (From Herat, to Ghazni, to Kabul and into Balkh).

  • @AkAHerati Do you know that in Northern Tajikistan which is connected with Samarkand still lives a lot of Greeks? Just remember that the real Tajik in Central Asia didn't mixed with Turkic. Before the Russian invasion, in former Tajikistan and Uzbakistan used to live up to 80-90% Real Tajiks with no mixture of Turkic people. How people got mixed? because of Russians, they mixed our people and lands with turkic people and they made only one country which was Turkistan.

  • @AkAHerati Real Tajiks not farsizaban, Real Tajiks (Dari zaban), Only Iranians are (Farsizaban). In Tajikistan and Uzbakistan still lives a lot of Iranians and they dont speak Darizaban or Farsizaban languages, they speak Uzbaki language. Just go to Samarkand and asked any one of Iranians people why they speak Uzbaki language? but in their pasport says that they're Irani. Those iranians looks like Irani, but they don't know their origin language. Thats how Iranians(Persian) become a Turkic peopl

  • @AkAHerati so just remember there is two different nations between Iranians and Tajiks in Uzbakistan and Tajikistan. They looks alike, but Iranians Turkified, Tajiks still Tajiks with Dari-persian language. Avestan language was in Soghdia, Bactria and Khoresmia. We still have and avestan letter, the avestan letter was half of cyrillic and aramaic.

  • @AkAHerati Tajiks in Tajikistan and Uzbakistan still writing in Cyrillic which was part of Avestan letter. BActria is not a whole Afghanistan. Afghanistan was created when the Pashtoons joined with Bactria (Tajik-Persian/Dari) people. If you're calling yourself a Farsizaban, so you're not Tajik, you're an Iranian(Farsizaban). Even you can see the difference between Tajiks and Iranians. Most Tajiks lighter, Iranians darker. Why Iranians darker? because Iranians mixed a lot with Jew, Indians.

  • Take Facts into consideration Real Demographics of Afghanistan (Read the Book by Abdul Said Qasimi) Pashtuwan=47%, Farsiwans=19%, Real Tajiks=7%-10% Mixed=2%-4% Hazaras=9% Uzbeks=5% Pashi=3% Turkmans/Baloch/Aimaq/Hindu/Sikhs=5% Real Tajik are Immigrants who came into Afghanistan in the past 150 years due to Russian invasion, Russian civil war, and Tajikistan's civil wars, Afghanistan open they borders due to the fact that British tried to show their greater influence against Russians)
  • The Natives of Bactria (or Pakhtrian) can only be traced to Afghans, not to Turkic looking Persian speakers of Central Asia.

  • @AkAHerati Yeah seems like you don't know exactly story about those Tajiks in Central Asia such as Tajikistan and Uzbakistan! Just remember there is not so many real Tajiks in Tajikistan and Uzbakistan, only certain cities such as Samarkand, Pejikent, Khudjand and small part of Dushanbe, rest Tajiks mixed with chinese/mongolian people thats how they got chinky eyes. I'm from Samarkand which is in modern Uzbakistan, and i do have a big green eyes with light skin and blonde hair.

  • @AkAHerati And there is a lot of people are looking alike me, how come you're saying that only in afghanistan lives real Tajik? in Samarkand we do have an Afghanians Tajik and they have a dark skin and dark hair. Soghdians Tajik are looking more lighter than Afghanians Tajik. Your Afghanians Tajik most mixed with Indians/Pakis, thats how they're looking dark. I believe you're never have been in Samarkand or in Pejikent, where is a lot of real Tajiks.

  • Hear the China man 1:11- 1:30 mins these losers actually think they defeated Alexander. Freaking Westerners don't know how to define an Afghan or Bactrian. Idiots. Those Chinese looking man are not natives of Bactria. Bactria or Balkh was wiped out by Ghangis Kan and his Army and only 20% of the natives excepted Balkh. Yes in the north of Oxus Horses were found and the Mongols and Uzbeks may have been Horseman but this is not to say they were the same ancient enemy of Greeks, South of Oxus yep

  • What is misrepresented here is that the Turkic population arrived in this region far after Alexander did. Tajiks or Iranian tribes were the inhabitants at the time but this is not to question and have any doubt what so ever in the skills of Uzbek horsemen, just a historic observation.

  • Watch the documentary and learn the Pashtuns actualy agree on thier history unlike you. Khorasan was the name of the country before Afghanistan and Farsi which is spoken by millions is the language.

  • Totaly agree with you Pashtuns are the descended of Jews there is documentary on here "pashtuns taliban the descendant of the jews" they are cultureless barbarians. They can say what they like but the real people of the land were there long before they arrived.

  • Oh my God! The battles of Alexander continue on youtube comments. I am not asking any of you to shut up but do you think it possible to show less venom and more humor?

  • @aalexander928 Some people need a little venom.

  • wtf??bulgarians son never did shit to greeks.wake up

  • todays people of Bactria have nothing to do with Bactrians who lived at time of alexander. Those people wre Aryanic. But todays people of this region are mostly Altic thanks to Tutko mongol invasion Of Bactria after 10-th century.

  • good observation.

  • OMG Shut Up! These are NOT afghan's. original afghan's were called Arian's. and they didn't look asian ok. ask a real afghan for info. not a poser or what the pashtun people call them "Pithe Peze"(flat noused). real afghan's were Arian's NOT mongolian. get your information right. pissin me off mate.

  • i thought he moved on from there already after fucking them up big time...?

  • nomad hit and run needs other tactics to fight. it's very different. if Greeks had found a way to beat it the maps of the world would be different for sure.

  • This is why Alexander the Great is the main influence in my life and has inspired me more than anyone as to who I am as a human being and why I push myself so much and know no limits. Alexander at his lowest point in his entire compain surrounded by enemies, suffering from a leg wound, malnutrition, and a throat wound so bad he could hardly speak was still able to summon the will to lead his army across the river and win a battle. This is why he was the first man in history known as The Great

  • Bozkashi was mentioned in sanskirt and the game of Aryans not Turkics look at their faces non of them look Afghan. Even today Bozkashi is the national game of Afghanistan. Even Afghan plays Bozkashi these Turkics adapted the both Persian and Afghans culture and made it as part of their culture.

  • this game is for only tough pakhtoons of pakistan and afghanistan.

  • @Shaber2007 It is not necessarily a game of Aryans or Turkics. It is a game of nomads, no matter what origin. Mongols play something very similar too with no Persian influence. You might as well state that spoons are Aryan national invention because ancient Aryans used them.

  • The Jackal fears his approach.

  • awesome! thanks!
