I am purchasing a havapoo, I did research and it seems to be a great mix, your dogs are sooo cute!!! Are they full Havanese???

@MJX320 They are full Havanese. I would suggest you look to either get a full Havanese from a legitimate, registered breeder or a mixed-breed dog from a pound/rescue - deliberately cross-bred dogs are often from puppy mills. Please research where your puppy comes before buying it. Good luck!

My havanese looks similar to the white one, only that mine is a bit more brownish but has her feet white along with her chest. She looks just like a little toy, and loves to play like one :)

They both have beautiful coloring. Their coats look great. Are they trimmed, or are they puppies? I can't find a hair cut I like on my havanese.  I'd like his hair to look natural, but I also want to see his eyes without having to put his hair in a clip. Do you have any advice? Thanks!

@missjensen24 I cut their hair myself, hence the "natural" look. They are both super scruffy, but it seems to suit them! I now cut the hair around their eyes and top of head so they can see where they are going without needing a clip or elastic band. I leave the rest of their hair natural.

@briana12omg Maybe your Havanese is a smooth one. This amount of hair is pretty typical, and they don't even have their full coats. They are a bit wild though as I don't show them anymore, hence the look less groomed and neat.

Oh how cute! I love Havanese! I own a Cavalier KC Spaniel and the Havanese seems similar in regards to temperament, both are sweet, loving, and friendly, basically perfect in many ways! Love your cute little mops!

When they are babies, I have one and he's 3 weeks, they teeth. So they pretty much chew on anything whether it's your cheek, or your fingers, anything! So make sure to get them lot's of chew bones!

They're the best dogs - loving, gentle, spirited and full of character. They never cease to entertain me, and have the most loving nature. Their hair requires a lot of grooming however. Thanks for the comment!

I understand about them being standoffish. I'm sure all Havanese are different. As for Ringo, he was very very friendly toward strangers, although he'd bark his little head off. You could always pet him, too, but one thing was that you could not step over him and disturb him if he was ready to go to sleep. He would sometimes go after your feet-I don't know hy this is. Mostly, though, it was only if you would shuffle your feet and squeak the floor. About your two, do they mind being petted?

Havanese love being picked up, cuddled and played with constantly. We call them our "velcro dogs" since they like to be attached to us at all times. They are astonishingly affectionate :)

Are they really? Havanese are usually pretty friendly, aren't they? I guess that they would bark at me, but hopefully they'd sense that I like them, because I certainly would. Kahlua and Buffy certainly seem to love each other, though.

They are either super friendly upfront or standoffish - mine are the standoffish type, which is actually ok as they never bother visitors :)

I had one other question: how much do Kahlua and Buffy weigh, if you know? Ringo was 13 lbs. Havanese seem very similar to Maltese, coat-wise, except that Maltese, of course, are all white. Are these two friendly toward guests? They would seem to be. I'd love to meet them.!

Kahlua weighs about 8 kilos, Buffy just under 5 kilos. They are a bit standoff-ish towards people they don't know, but warm quickly if they sense they are dog people. :)

Kahlua is now 5 and Buffy is 4. They're not big barkers, but they do bark if people approach the property or come in the front gate as they like to protect the home :) They are the most loving, beautiful pair ever. Thank you for your kind comments about my mad cap pair!

They do if you let it grow. I've just cut it all off though in preparation for summer.

They do look pretty different when they're fully grown - I think I have videos of them as adults too - check out the videos from Callala beach. They don't shed, but they do require a lot of brushing if you keep their hair long, or clipping to keep it short. All non-shedding dogs have long hair btw :) Havanese are delightful dogs to have.
