@mr2000jp first off you sleep in a coffin..those capsules just depressive as fuck..then the lobby is just empty and dull, not even a single paint on the wall, no windows....high suicide rate is definitely because of places like this..
I think this would be awesome on long haul flights. I know it's not economical at all for such a purpose, but it doesn't change the fact that long journeys would be really comfy :). As opposed to the current hell on earth you experience in economy on a 24hr flight T.T
it really looks comfy. only thing though, i would not spend over $25 a night for a place to sleep, and that kinda looks out of my budget. maybe in the land of dreams when i am asleep tonight i will go to a virtual japan my mind has created and stay for a night. :)
Isn't the idea of capsule hotels that they're cheap? This looks expensive. Unless they've managed to do it on a similar budget to other capsule hotels?
@h3rteby renting one of those capsule rooms is cheap , that is what its all about , the second important point is that its made to go on a very small piece of land , which is the most expensive thing in the whole project , a square meter in tokyo in some areas priced around 350000$ , so no thing else comes close to the coast of the land
Nothing new really, it first developed in a hotel in the US in 2009 where you would take a nap in the middle of day.
The only difference is that you ask at the reception the time you want to wake up, and it starts to bright up slowly half an hour before instead of 15 minutes.
And no its not capsules, its a room with a chair/bed desigened to give you the best sleep possible.
this is why people commit suicide...!!!

this wouldn't be bad idea. but there's two very important things missing....a shower and a toilet. without those....these motels are useless

@mr2000jp Cool! If the price is comparable to other capsule hotels this one definitely looks like the one I'd want to spend the night in. :)
I can see how when the land is such a huge cost, the little extra they spend on quality could be very little in comparison.
