  • very nice exhaust note and sweet ride!

  • The Bee is due for a new system ..... now I know what to look for. Thanks. Mopar to ya.

  • Do you want to sell this car, and if so how much?

  • Nicely done sir !

  • What engine are you running?

  • the chargers in 1960-70s looks mad crazy awesome but the chargers now are ehhh

  • I WISH I BAD A 'BEIGE OR TAN COLERED ONE. I WOULD HAVE ( 44 ) ON THE SIDE & CALL IT ' PRESIDENT OBAMA.

  • @rickames --- UUUGGGHHH!!!!!! WHY? I would only allow that if it were a demo derby car and on a clapped out late 70's heap, and even then it would make me cringe!

  • @turbosigns Sorry how you feel about that... my friend.

  • @rickames ---- Biege on a Charger sounds terrible! Maybe copper metalic... but why call it Obama? How about Colin Powell, I could go for that!

  • @turbosigns My friend we don't share the same ' Vision', but that's ok. In the eyes of some people, they proably thought ' General Lee & General Grant were great men. In honor of their quest, they named one of them with a car. I feel the same the way about our President; however, I don't wish to entertain the thought of why I chose one, & you rather choose someone else. Have a good day.

  • @rickames ---- WTF! you come here to preach polical crap to me! You are in the wrong forum buddy... I did not vote for Obama and I feel he has done a terrible job as our president. I'm sure you will chalk me up as a racist for not agreeing with your political affiliations, you sound like a self righteous prick! Don't bother calling me friend in your patronizing manner and don't bother posting comments on my videos anymore.

  • @mxriderae ---- I got mine aftermarket to fit the 2.5" pipes, I have taken them off recently, I plan to sell them on ebay.

  • 69 Dodge Charger ... one of the greatest car`s ever made!

  • That dos sound better

  • What's with the blue linings?

  • @crazyracer12 ---- I put blue tape on the arrow trim to keep out the rain water... I wish I had not done it though, pulled a little chunk of paint off when I removed it!

  • @turbosigns Oh dear. D:

  • the 40s sounded way better

  • @87norcalyoder ---- I like the deeper note of the 50's, they sound meaner to me.

  • didnt the orginal genrel lee have a hemi?

  • @justinchaffin1013 440 six pack idk why though i would rather have seen it run with a hemi

  • @BIGELK82 ohh wait im thinking of the newer movie with johnny knoxville

  • @justinchaffin1013 ---- nope... most likely Cooter made a 451 stroker... and the real TV cars had 318's more often than not.

  • Thats an AWESOME Charger!

  • Is it loud outside and quite inside?

  • @vwbeetleowner ---- NOPE! loud outside and LOUDER inside! (remove scalp / itch brain loud) I will be installing a 3 inch system with magnaflows next.

  • I love your general, Im building my general are those flowmaster 50's loud inside the car?

  • @vwbeetleowner ---- Don't do it it your over the age of 35... loud inside = sucky drive... I have tamed it down though, I added glass packs behind the 50's and it sounds mean and doesn't resonate anymore. I plan to carefully cut the current system into managable bits so I can sell it as a total system on ebay. Any competent muffler guy should be able to weld it all back up without breaking the bank.

  • A verry lucky owner !!!

  • that car must hall some serious ass dude

  • Sounds awsome! alot better than the 40's.

  • my dream car i want one and i wouldent mind daisy ethier lol

  • I have a '68 with a 383 and love the low deck engines. I suspect you will be way more than happy with the 451 stroker. That is the very best Mopar combination now.

  • @mr68Charger383 ---- I would have gone with the 470 combo if I had not already gotten a great deal on the 451 block, crank and short rod setup a couple years back, but I feel the 451 will be plenty torquey for me.

  • I love how deep it sounds, very strong feel to it.

  • @dubvipers Just wait until the 451 stroker gets in there behind a 3 inch exhaust system!

  • sweet...i'd drive it.

  • Hi .. i have the same system and i have problem in installing the original exhaust tips on the tailpipe. diameter of the tailpipe is 2.5" .. The tips inlet are 2 1/4" i.d. is it going to fit or i have to buy the 2 1/5" i.d. inlet to fit ?

and honestly i didn`t see those tips fitted so my another question is .. do the tips fit in the tailpipes or on the tailpipes ?

i hope someone helps me thanx

  • You might as well should have left on the other Flowmaster exhaust you had on the car, this 50 series SUV doesn't sound too much different, actually, it has more "crackle" in it than the 1st Flowmaster you had on the car.

  • this is just my opinion but 2 chambers are the way to go buddy

  • Love the flowmaster 40 sound but im a cherry bomb guy but still love those 40s

  • the 50's sound much more aggresive

  • Nice, Putting the Flowmaster 50 on my 2010 Challenger tomorrow, I'll let you know how that is.

  • 40's better

  • took awhile to start? beautiful

  • I like the original general lee sound better

Don't get me wrong I like this sound a lot.

  • Sounds good but i like your clip with the 40s much better in my opinion....but still sounds good with the 50s.

  • Uhh man u got a sweet Toy there

  • what engine ? 383 440?

  • @sebmopar440 ----- 383 with every Edelbrock RPM item available... except the AFB carb, I have a 700 mech dbl pumper on it. I need to put the headers on to make use of it all though.

  • If you ever gets the chance, try out the 426 mopar motor in it, savage

  • @MetalDarsnof --- no thanks, I'm not a fan of the 'put a HEMI in it' crowd. I am building a low deck 451 cube stroker for it. WAY more HP and TQ than a 426 hemi.

  • @turbosigns If you don't mine me asking, what block platform did you use? Was this a 383 or 440 car? Exhaust sounds mean! :D

  • @turbosigns Good Man, that 451ci stroker is on hell of a beast. Hate to say it but it is better that the HEMI.

  • X2! HEMI's are for the "look at me, look at me" people. Wedges are for people that want power without taking out 3 mortgages.

  • @zaifi1000 ==== yup... only gonna cost me about $3300 for the 451 stroker, but lookin back I coulda bought a 470 crate stroker from muscle motors for $4000+shipping...

  • @MetalDarsnof ---- wait, I would put 2 out of 3 426 engines in this car... the 426 wedge and a stroked 383/426... just not the hemi.

  • I like them better than the 40's ya had

  • @Redneckdh71 ____ I totaly agree with you ... nicer tone overall, if I could just kill the low to part throttle droning on the inside I'de be happy.

  • love it

  • nice!!!! wheres daisy duke

  • I wont kno cuase I got it off of old lady in chicago, it sat in her garage for over 20 years! put basic tune up 2 c if it would run and we cooked the tires right off of them, then they stole it from me 2 days later, it sat in her garage all that time and no one touched it. I paid her 500 bucks 4 the car that only neede a buff job 2 bring the paint back out.

  • I am about to buy flowmasters for my 69 Road Runner.

Either 50 Delta Flow or 50 SUV. The SUVs sound great on your charger, but when I go on the Flowmaster homepage, they sound crappy on that pick up. I hate the resonances of my 40s at the moment, so what would you recommend?

  • simply get yourself a resonator. i have a 99 sierra that resonated horribly in the cab and had lesser throttle response with a 40 on it. installed a resonator and the performance increased substantially and the sound is outstanding. i'll try to get a vid of it sometime soon

  • Flowmaster has a sound page?? thanks

  • The suvs are designed to reduce resonance... but I still get more droning than I would like to have. Go 50suv if anything.

  • cherry bomb glass pack

  • hmm, interesting, yours sounds completly different then mine with the same mufflers. i assume the manifolds are doing it. when you do the slow rev at the begining i hear the resonance you have been talking about. i do not have that on my car at all. nothing even close to that.

  • thats great. but You people are the reason a can't find one of these cars under 60k.

  • Now people want huge money for these old cars, and I have personaly way to much money in this one to ever see a profit if I did sell it, but that's not why I got it. I will NEVER sell this car on a whim or for personal financial gain, I want to drive it when I can, and enjoy every last minute doing so. I suggest you do like I did, decide to own one someday, and put a plan together so you can make it happen, I have been trying to own this car since 1992, so it may take you a while as well.

  • Thanks for the tips. But I fear won't be able to own one being as I am 17 now and most guys can't buy old cars like this till they are 50 somethin. I'm running out of time dude.

  • i bought my car when i was 15, it used to be painted as the general lee and once i get the body work finished then it will be the general again

  • Hmm, I see your point. But I'm broke! where'd you get your car?!

  • i bought it at a huge car show/swap meet about 10-11 years ago. only paid 2000 dollars for it running and driving

  • 2000?! Thats awesome!!! But are odds of me finding one for that?!

  • what would really suck is getting it stolen after saving 15 years for it. And I'm in Europe, so it's much more of a showpiece than in the US where many people have fancy cars. Sucks for me :(

  • Ahh dude........That gotta be the worst thing ever.

  • Don't say it, thats how I lost my chevelle!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sorry to hear that :(

    How much did it cost?

  • sick shit. luv it,

  • i am stiff

  • just the car make me hard

  • man i would totally go for the noise, that is what you want to hear. who cares how loud it is inside when it sounds that good

  • I've never been a fan of any sort of choppy idle but it sounds good when you give it some gas.

  • radical camshafts are not for everyone

  • yeah i like the 50s better than the 40s. gives it a true muscle car sound to it. way to go!

  • as Tim the toolman Taylor would say "ARG ARG ARG"!!! man stuff , BEAUTIFUL

  • This is what a car should sound like.

  • What kind of camera where you shooting this with? Sound and video quality seems pretty decent.

  • GAH LEE !! That thing sounds soooooooo sweet! Gah!

  • Where are the racing flags and CB antenna?

  • i disagree. id way rather hear exhaust than hear my dash squeek. lol

  • i like this sound better than the 40s

  • mopar or no car. gotta love the flowmaster too...

  • still its an oldie! oldies are cool whether their mopar or nocar

  • thats a mopar tho "jethrotull"

  • i know browning....thats why i said old cars are cool whatever brand they are

  • ya ya....

  • wow...just wow...she sounds sooo beautiful...much better than the 40s

  • Sounds like it has Manifolds instead of headers.

  • yep! you guessed it! cast iron HP manifolds... They are comin off soon for the hedman elite heavy wall, ceramic coated hedders.

  • good choice i think you should put the 40's back on and take the 50's off but its not my car. either way you have an absolutly beautiful car bro

  • i hope you wernt revving it like that at after a cold start... thats horrible for your engine. very bad on cylinder walls and piston rings. sounds good though, i like the 50s the most.

  • nah the car was revving itself ;)

  • It's something like this i would want in a muscle car, like ''kackle'' sound, but with a deep rumlble at lower rpm, and a roar at the higher rpms =)

  • hey, i saw your video of the 40's and i think the 50's sound much better. Well that's only from the outside. I have a GTO and i was thinking about putting Flowmaster American Thunder's on it. I just figured since you tried the 40's and 50's maybe you've heard of American Thunder? Overall, are you happy with Flowmaster?

  • Even after adding 4 inch round resonator style magnaflow glass packs upstream of the flowmasters to reduce the droning, it still resonates more than I like. I will be adding some more resonators behind the flowmasters to bring it all to a level I can live with. However headers may improve the issue as well, currently this car has HP cast iron manifolds, headers are coming soon after the resonators.

  • Thanks man, good luck with the car!!!

  • The FM's are still to boomy/resonaty for me, so I've added magnaflow resonators to calm it down, that works pretty good for me.

  • nice, thanks!

  • I took the car in the other day. I'm getting the Flowmaster American Thunder kit on it!!! Can't wait to hear the RUMBLE!!!

  • What is Travis Bells website called? Thanks again!

  • Gosh, I've got no idea, I just googled him and found his info... He's a radio DJ in AK I think.

  • whats with the blue masking tape on the back of your general lee

  • You might be able to recover more losses my reporting all of them to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Fraud protection Agency. I'm with you friend!

  • I actualy found Travis Bells phone number on his website. He talked with me at length about the problems with hlpag and refered me to a builder in Nowata Oklahoma, Patrick Hagerman (scotleaidolrods web site) and I had great results with his work. I will check into reporting Reliable auto carriers for their damaging treatment of my General... Mabey I will post a video about my horror story and let people know what can happen, maybe you should post a video about hellpag to warn others about them!

  • Thanks for your reply. I did get ripped off by them, bad. Can you & Travis tell me about others who have been ripped off by these guys? Would they be willing to speak to legal counsil? The Consumer Fraud Protection Agency can be utilize, they're there to protect us. The more victims we get together, the more we can do to help stop them from doing this to other innocient people. We all work too hard for our money & dreams, it's a crime to have someone rip us off. Please help & thanks again!

  • The most info I uncovered about the problems with hellpag was on the charger forum board. If you ask around about hlpag in that forum they can easily show you tons of treads about horror stories concerning hellpag. Hlpag has been booted from their forum numerous times (those guys hate hellpag) and when I signed in as 'shouldIbuyFROMhlpag' and asked questions they though I was a hellpag spy and got real touchy, but they showed me all the terrible stuff people had gone through with those guys.

  • The Flowmaster 50 suv's sound good on this great MOPAR! Glad you didn't get this from HLPAG. I agree with you, those guys are crooks. Hope this hasn't come from experience. Keep up the great MOPAR video's.

  • Hey Matt, I almost sent them a check when I got warned by Travis Bell about their horrible record with rippin off customers. My horror story is with the shipping company. Reliable auto carriers took this car for a 20 mile joy ride and wrecked the brand new engine and put a huge scratch up the quarter panel. It's costing me about 15k to fix and they offered me $800 to cover damages. Hagerty tryed the best they could but only recovered about $2800 and said I'de have to sue reliable for the rest

  • Sounds pretty nice.

  • Hmm... being fake wasn't my first thought in these vids, but after taking a good look at the smoke, it does look a little out of place. I know it's the real deal though ;)

  • I think it is more steam than smoke in this vid... It was a cold and rainy day, just a break in the weather let me shoot some footage. Still it's pretty funny that some people think I would fake this stuff. I can't imagine how hard it would be to do that, even if I knew how! LOL!!

  • Nice car, also i wanted to point out if the start of the video, you can see a car drive by, and that smoke is real, this video is real pay attention to detail guys.

Great care. although i would go 40 series flowmasters.

  • Man... that's pretty funny. The blue you see is blue painters tape over the vinyl trim chrome to keep water out of the trunk. The trim mounts do not seal the hole they go into. I now have orange sign vinyl, but I will be replacing the trim soon and sealing the mounting holes at the same time. This car is general lee #16 built by Patrick Hagerman at scotleaidolrods, look it up if you want proof.

    Later buddy...

  • ??? Why do you think that? This is a real car with a real car payment... as soon as it is properly fixed I will have more vids. I am still amazed that some people think I would go to the trouble of faking a simple car.

  • Awsome. Just awsome.

  • great!!!!!!!
