I have the same car. My hood release cabe broke and I cant open the hood. Im thinking of maybe a wire thru to where the latch is and hooking the release mechinism . Wondering if you could do a vid so i can see the latch as to where to go with the wire. Or maybe you can figure it out and do a vid on it. Thanks man!...Robert

@bobcansee Sorry for the LONG response time - I got this car from my Mother and have passed it on to my little Sister so it no longer at my home- It does sound like a fun project though! - I am going to see what I can do to help!

I may have spent as much time under my '76 Spider as I did driving it, but it was my daily driver (100+ mi/day) for about almost a year, once I got it up to snuff. Too bad the head eventually cracked... but better to have loved and lost, etc... what a fun car!!
