  • I done my Junior Black (Shodan) today, Shook Prof Robert Clarks hand, and got a picture!!

  • I saw Bob Clark and his student (Alan) give a demo behind closed doors at a Met Police Martial Arts club way back in the 80s. It was without doubt the most impressive traditional art demo I have ever seen, frigging awesome. They flowed from one technique to another and countered and escaped in a constant motion that was mind bending. He seems to operate under the Martial arts radar but any serious student should seek him out at some stage in their life. Much respect!

  • это и есть настоящее, когда показывает настоящий мастер

  • Это лучшее джиу-джицу из всего того, что я видел! СУПЕР!!!

  • I trained with Bob Clark for years and got my first Black belt with John Steadman. Both good guys. This video is with Alan Campbell who I beleive is in Austrailia now. He was good to.

  • @Ronnin50 your right alan is in Austrailia now, i did all my grading under them both, shodan with robert clarke, i was trained by steve elliott from chesterfield, we did a lot of other training thats a bit nasty, these two in the vid are top guys, got lots of respect for them both

  • I train with Professor Clark on Tuesdays and he is the most amazing yet humblest of people.. a teacher not of just Ju-Jitsu but of life. I feel honoured to be able to train under his close guidance and thankful that I have experienced Ju-Jitsu whch is now a huge part of my life.

  • CRAP quality on the video... Clark is nice however

  • I'm thinking about taking up jujitsu. Locally I have a Gracie Barra Brazilian club and also a WJJF club. I'm thinking of joining the Brazilian jujitsu club because the guy that runs it proves himself in competitions whereas WJJF seems to entail letting some guy do his stuff on you (like in this video). I've done martial arts before and remember being concerned that my skills would be effective only in theory rather than proven during competitive practice. I don't want to be sold a crock!

  • ive experienced acouple of years of japanese jj in different clubs and the standard of black belts wrestling and striking sparring was terrible. If its self defence your concerned with id consider boxing along with the bjj, youd have the option of finishing quickly.

  • Hi.

I trained to Black Belt with the WJJF when i was a teenager. I grew up in one of the roughest parts of Manchester in England and i know that if it wasn't for what i had learned in theory, there's a few times i would have ended up seriously injured, possibly dead. It's all very well winning competitions, but at the end of the day what it comes down to is the knowledge to defend yourself in real life. It is not just the moves, but the state of mind... and you would get both with the WJJF.

  • I'd agree with you there fella I studied wjjf in easterhouse in glasgow and have been in quite a few sticky situations with my job in places such as iraq and i'm glad I had the training of this martial art as a back up it is also a good way to devolope and keep kids off the streets it trains you to be respectful and gives you an inner calm sorry sounds cheesy but I've taken alot from the sport

  • @HarryBallbag

Not everyone likes competition (most people do not).

I havn't yet seen any MMA fighters bring tire irons, knives or guns to the otagon.

not all .......most attackers are not skilled fighters.

This type training was used to train the military's in WW1 AND 2.

  • I got my 1st dan black belt today and shook hand with him

  • @Golin146 i did my shodan grading on the 19th dec 10 and i also shook his hand :Dhe spoke to me quite alot all day

  • Yes I Agree Soke Robert Clark is a legend and is a Definitive Model for The Art of Ju Jitsu i have met him 3 times and he is My Senseis Sensei.

  • Very nice techniques. Continuous and smooth.

This guy is truly a master of the Jiu jitsu martial art.

  • anyone can look smooth on a grappling dummy.I wouldnt be calling myself a master if I couldnt apply my techniques on a fully resistant partner, not that he mightnt be able, but you never see videos of it.

  • That's because these are instructional videos. You see things like that at the clubs. Or at least you used to until health and safety kicked off in a big way.

  • unless you watch brazilian jiu-jitsu videos of prize fighting :)

  • I've been a member of Mr. Clark's Fed. for 11 years now and ive enjoyed every bit of it. Including the added Kobudo extras.
