  • This would be a great time saver for cleaning the sound on a one channel amp. Set the amp for a dirty sound and use the pedal to clean it up. It's almost like adding a sceond channel to your amp.

  • it kinda the opposite of the lpb-1

  • Would this perhaps work if I plugged it in to my effects loop? I have a tube amp, and I want to get that juicy natural distortion from it, but I have a family. I guess I could plug it in to my effects loop in my amp, turn the amps volume up, and just keep the volume control on this buddy down low. Is that true?

  • @Ande5865 you can do that with the Ehx LPB-1 too, i do it for that use and also use it as a solo boost because my amp does not have that.

  • But the effect is simply just a reversed Boost pedal! Why not use a boost pedal?!

  • 1:39 Holy shit!!! One handed player man guy! lol

  • Can this be used like a boost pedal when on max volume, or does max volume simply give you the volume you dialed in on the amp?

  • @dannyylfc When turned all the way up it is the same volume as the guitar.

  • They're really reaching with this one. I think it's already been covered between volume knobs, volume pedals, multi-channel amps, boost switches on amps, OD pedals, distortion pedals...

  • volume knob in a box...brilliant ! ....... what will ehx come up with next

  • Hahaha?! Its just a volume pedal! XD And they are acting like they invented a time matchine!

  • oops don't drop your pick like wtf:P

  • love you ehx but idk about this one :/

  • one could say its like a dotox eq

  • I'd rather stick with my volume pedal lol

  • what if my lead tone is too loud???

  • Almost forgot, it is a Volume Switch, Not A Volume Pedal.

  • Guitarist also like having many options and ways to control and shape their sound.

volume pedals give gradual control with a swell up or down. the signal pad is either up, or down without swell. Instantaneous. Both simple both usefull. I do think the negative comment are hilarious too.

  • Guys the signal pad is simple, but not everybody solders not everybody wants to solder, the signal pad is about instant volume shift. I think the video is cool because it explains clearyl what it does.just becuse it is simple does not mean it is not useful. as far as the dough is concerned it is $44.00, EH is used by rockstars all over the world, they could put out whatever they want, super simple to mind bending, at fair prices.

  • Mike Matthews rules, everything he comes up with is great

  • This is still NOT a master volume since you're also decreasing the gain on your amp. This is placed BEFORE the pre-amp section whereas a master volume is placed AFTER. Now, if this would work in the FX loop (it was made to line lvl specs) it would've been a true master volume.

  • @DemoColorScheme:

    Now THAT would be kewl!!

Keep the gain but just turn the volume of the gain down.

Lets hope that they make a pedal to do that.

    Dm

  • @Detman101

EXACTLY! Then you'd still be able to roll back the volume on your guitar to decrease the incoming gain AND you'd be able to go full-blast + full-blast with an attenuator. ;)

  • Why such a large name for a box with a nob and switch

  • @tushtushtushtush

well, maybe because it is a "signal pad"... how would you have named it?

"ok so it has 1 pot and 1 switch guys, so according to the pedal-name-chart we're allowed to use 2 letters only, any suggestions? we already got caught with the small clone guys, next time it's jail for us all!!"

  • @mouldeck thought it was the signal pad passive attenuator. How about volnob.

  • That was remarkably dumb

  • I'd rather take a few seconds to change the volume on my guitar thank you.

  • Useless. It's your guitar volume knob on the floor. If the problem is you bought a 100w Marshall that you need to run on 10 so it sounds like anything but now need to play in a tiny club... this isn't gonna get it done. What you need is something that will give you the high gain crunch without the actual volume - an OUTPUT attenuator not an input attenuator. Ampeg used to have a dandy one for the V-4... a little wedge w a volume knob that plugged into the rear panel. Worked perfectly.

  • @moucon

Exactly! I basically said the same and didn't notice your comment. ;)

  • im not a big fan of EH but this isnt half bad even if it is so simple

  • could this be used instead of a power attenuator to reduce the output volume of an amp without affecting tone?

  • "heres how it works - plug the pedal in"....OH REALLY

  • seriously, way to drain money out of people who haven't yet dived into the world of soldering. this is one of the most easily built pedals ever right next to a tap tempo. (sigh)

  • " Ma what's for dinner, meatloaf?"

  • Negative comments are made by dudes that live in their mothers basement , can't play guitar and are bitter and becuase they can't get or never had a girlfriend . if you respond to this with a negative response, this proves what I say is true, and you have nothing better to do

  • @YTsurfah ..Why? Where do you base that on? Sometimes it's just fun to bitch about everything and anything. And also..I cant keep myself from sharing the irony..so.. your comment sounds kinda..well..negative..hahah.

    No offence, man.

  • i mean, yeah they coulda made another chorus pedal or something, but instead they did something "relatively" new. there are many ways to go about doing what this pedal does. this pedal does one way. stop complaining it seems to work well and realistically.

  • Running out of ideas? this pedal has been around for a few years. It's just an easy way to switch between clean and overdrive with a tube amp. It's only what... $40? If you're a lazy guitarist and don't want to build one I'd say its a fair deal for the use you can get out of it. i don't know why you guys are complaining.

  • shitty as fuck!

  • oh god you must be running out of ideas or something? and btw this has to be the worst demo i've ever seen! even i can make a box with a switch and a potentiometer!

  • so this is just a fucking volume pedal? I smell bullshit

  • @joewattguitarist it's more accurate than a volume pedal that's the point.

  • Comment removed

  • omg they invented a potentiometer in a box !

btw the voice is really depressing

  • or you could just get a volume pedal

  • ok but... you can make one easily for what... 10$ ?!?

  • So it's a Channel switcher (dirty/cleans) for a single channel amp for example =o Perfect!

whats the price going to be ?
