  • Are the cards in stock clocks?

  • @FrosTaii Yes, as is the CPU.

  • on battlefield 3 is aa enabled?

  • @nzieli6486 Yes, both post and deferred AA are maxed.

  • @PCgamingTech Could you make a battlefield 3 benchmark with 2x6870 all on ultra

    BUT without msaa? Please.

  • What was the mem usage amount in these games?

  • @Aogle2 It varied a lot between games.

  • Are you having heat issues with the xfx cards? Love the company but heard bad tbings with this design.

  • @oafaloaf I haven't really had any serious issues with heat. With one card I had absolutely no trouble. With addition of a second one, the upper card now tends to max out at around 75 degrees, which isn't great, but perfectly safe. They didn't do so well in the Furmark test though.

  • @oafaloaf I would say no! I've owned 4 different xfx cards and the heat is not a problem! My first XFX Card was 7800 GT then the 9800 GTX later i bought a 6770 and now i run on this card and as i could remember it i've never had any kinds of trouble with XFX!

  • Yea.? Is 2x2gb or 2x1gb???. I got 2x1gb xfx 6870 black E.

  • @jgde82 The setup is 2x2GB. So, as you probably know, I have a total of 2GB VRAM.

  • @PCgamingTech Why a total of 2gb vram?

  • @Tsinepanos Because when two cards run in crossfire they alternate frames. This means that the frame buffer (VRAM) for each card must hold the same exact info. That being the case, VRAM does not double in CFX. Ergo, a pair of 2GB cards in CFX have a total of 2GB available VRAM.

  • @PCgamingTech So you have 2x2gb total 4 and you only able to use only the 2gb 1 gb per card i thing ? That does happen to every 2 gb card i know .. The 6970 in crossfire o think they can hold 4gb of vram ? Correct me if i am wrong

  • @Tsinepanos I have 4GB of total VRAM, but I can only use half of it due to the way crossfire works. So, any game I run can utilize 2GB of VRAM, which is a lot. A 6990 has 4GB VRAM, but only 2GB per GPU, so it can only use 2GB in games, just like my setup.

  • @PCgamingTech So why is better to have 4 gb if you cant use them ?

  • @PCgamingTech I search a little bit and what you are saying about ram is wrong . Try to download msiafterburner and press to see the memory usage . I have 2x5770 crossfire and while playing Bf3 i use 1.900 ram . From what you are saying i have only 1 usable ...how it possible to use 2 ....You can tell me that it shares the ram with the vram . That does not happen because it stays only arround 2 gb and doent take more that 2 gb . So i think you are wrong about the Vram .

  • @Tsinepanos I'm definitely not. You might not be looking at dedicated memory, or using a incorrect application. Some programs also display more VRAM than you have for some reason.

  • @Tsinepanos I can't open that, but it doesn't really matter. If you don't believe me on the VRAM issue, just Google: "does vram double in crossfire" and click the second link (yahoo answers). The asker has two 1GB 5770s just like you, and he asked if he'd have 2GB VRAM total. Obviously, the answers were all no.

  • @PCgamingTech Sorry where can i send you a print screen of afterburner to See that i am actually using 1.900 ram?

  • @Tsinepanos If that is truly the case, then Afterburner is adding the VRAM on each card together. It doesn't make a difference though, because each GPU can utilize only 1GB.

  • Wait 2x2GB or 2x1GB?

  • @teras231 2x2GB

  • Just finished the install on my own Crossfire set up with these cards. Love them to bits.

  • what resolution?

  • @InsanelyOrange The description says 1080p, so 1920x1080.
