Oh but it is. Just a different take on zombies. Whether its radiation, mutation, or medical they still feast on the livings flesh, they still kill any living around them etc etc. So how is it not a zombie film? Technicaly they die before becoming infected. No speech or anything showing any type of humanity. And same as majority of other zombie films if their cells come in contact with your blood stream, you become one of them.

people, living or dead, who come crashing through windows and endlessly sprint after people to sadistically murder and possibly eat or just revel in someone's body, is a zombie.
sorry for that lecture, but those, my friend, are the "living dead" since they no longer have a life.
The only thing that sucked about this movie is the fact that you messhed all the romero flicks in with 28 days...which isn't a zombie movie!! Those folks were still alive...just insane with rage!
